Infinite rematch was so good

I can understand peoples preferences for 7 over 8 or vice versa. Both have their appeal. However what i can’t let slide is people who talk about T8 damage. After coming back and seeing this game again mfers definitely still EXPLODE here constantly
People who complain about combo damage in tekken don't know that tekken has always been a two to three touch game!!! It was even worse in Tag 2
Yeah thankfully with the scaling on heat dash and even heat burst combos don’t do nearly enough for most of the cast compared to t7. Wall carry into wall combo was nuts
Tekken 7 dmg was high, but just for dlc and a few base roster. Everyone in T8 with the exception of zafina has insane dmg potential thanks to wall tornados
Not to mention the recoverable health in 8 which lets you take back the lead if you take back your turn or geta launcher rather than being stuck with a sliver of health like you would in 7
Never rlly understood the hate for combo dmg as it has been like that since t1 and was way higher in previous tekken titles compared to t8. The main issue I find in modern tekken is how long the combos take.
The matches here flow so much more nicely than T8 where theres a stoppage each time someone lands or pops heat. And not once did either player feel like they were completely locked down into a guessing situation, even kn small stages. T8 is so ass when it comes to matchflow

As a guy who actually uses all of his gimmicks (Heaven's Wrath, 2nd 10 hit combo, OTGF, Shadow Step, command throws, Raijin unblockable), it hurts a lot. Especially Heaven's Wrath. I labbed the hell out of that move and abused it because it has huge active frames, lol.
T8 is getting too streamlined and removing secret flairs like Chickens makes the game lose the stuff that makes you go, "Wait, you can do that?".
is shadow step a heat only move in t8?

i used ps4 controller to play tekken 7. i found difficult in combos by using controller character like kazuya, heichi, jin etc. what is the secret to learn combos with ps4 controller....can execute combos of paul, lidia, and fahkumran, i want to learn wave dashing and back dashing with ps4 controller...how to do with controller...plz guide..

T7 had always looked bad for me. Understandable since it had budget problems.

Im not a tekken fan I only played 8 casually cause I mostly played anime games, but the constant zoom ins and interruptions with the heat system in tekken 8 makes it an actual headache to follow sometimes. The graphics are ugly here but the flow of the match is much smoother. I think if t8 slightly buffs the movement and shortens the heat animations it'd be perfect. And im not a gameplay expert but this set had like no power crushes, which is very good. When i played t8 i was like "why is this even a mechanic? This is literally just a random rps mechanic. The community should have been more vocal with its inclusion in t7. You dont need armour for the neutral game of tekken to shine, it's already very dynamic with the high mid low system + high and low crush moves. Put armor on grapplers only like all 2d games and call it a day.

Backward movement definitely is. Sidestepping is a bit better in 8. But you can't backdash away from pressure to whiff punish like you could in 7
@zephyrekansh basically lowered the skill gap massively from T7 to T8 in terms of movement.
The older the Tekken game you go the better the movement is till Tekken 3 I think
@@Vert_GreenHeartSure backdash is weaker. But side stepping is much better. I would rather have a stronger side step than a stronger back dash. T7 had moves that are so oppressive because of the horrible side step.
@ag_abdulaziz7153 backdash was used a lot more defensively than offensively, that's why movement was nerfed to remove that iconic Knee playstyle of poke and kbd. Tekken 8 made sure to entirely remove that as they thought it didn't look good on camera. As a result the tekken gods are no longer gods anymore, especially Knee.

Wheres my heat burst, how am i supposed to combo? LOL takes so much getting used to everybody is so different. Still even tho hei is not one of my main characters, my single favorite thing about coming back to 7 was having hei around, sad to say im already having mixed feelings about him in 8

lol you’re just saying “old good, new bad” to try to fit in. T7 movement was ass, sidestep felt awful in that game. T8 does have buffed sidestep allowing for more movement based plays that isn’t just passively back dashing forever on infinite stage like T7.
The issue with T8 movement is that there’s many inconsistencies that have yet to be ironed out with how certain moves like heat smashes track and how there’s too much lockdown sequences forcing you to hold back or gamble your life away to reset neutral
@@alibahali3671 I'm not talking about if the movement actually worked against moves. The movement is better meaning more fluid and quicker, actually being able to backstep from an opponent
@@beruni777 id rather be able to backdash and move quicker. Sidestepping is damn near your only choice of movement in T8 and it isn't even that good when your always being forced into heat, 50/50 setups or them overpowered homing grabs.
This looks SO weird to me compared to the Tekken I know still the Bald one's return is a BIG deal!

dawg, t8 has so much quality of life going for it. Replay takeover, rollback, crossplay... but the actual GAMEPLAY is so fucking whack bro. I just want t7 with the nice shit around the game that 8 has.
despite the graphics, this game held on to classic tekken features. electric sound and vfx, hit and block sfx anf vfx, the MOVEMENT, FRAMES over armor and tracking heat. tekken 8 is far from tekken.

My god this game feels so much better. It's a shame that they made a stupid mash, stance heavy, clunky movement game to attract casuals (who have already left btw) and now the true fans have to deal with this crap. This new, stance, easy eletric heihachi made me realise what I had spent my money on....
