Been a King main since Tekken arrived in the arcade and it’s great to see new things being done with him and the passion in the people who play him like you and the Jon here. There's always someone who plays a character better than anyone, people come and go and sometimes reappear. Like heera with steve, majin with king and jimmyjtran with bryan, new players emerge and take your place when u don't compete in tournaments,.
not sure why everyone is surprised, this isn't the first time he's made it into a final and beat out a crazy field. He went up against Atif in that one tournament and I know Knee was in it also. Jon is easily top 5 player in the world and his confidence and handling pressure is getting better and better. Also now you have a team of Pakistani players that come to the tournament with you. This was an advantage the Koreans had with so many being elite, but now the pakistanis have the same and this helps moral. I'm still waiting a day when you have majority of pakistani players in top 10. right now you still have more Koreans their but I still believe Pakistani players will out number every other race, they will dominate the highest level. This will motivate even more Pakistanis to enter and you'll find God level players like Atif, Arslan, Hafiz, Jon. give it another year and you'll see
Pakistanis winning tournaments immensely help the local scene but their own country is fking their own citizens up. A lot of Pakistanis want to enter but visa issues are prevalent because Pakistan's visa power is weak. These players can't do that on their own, their government also needs to help.

Keep in mind: The Jon performed this well WITHOUT the Nina, Alisa, and Dragunov nerfs being active. Which is even more impressive when he ran through Ulsan like that.

The Jon's King is very reminiscent of T6 style where King's grab pressure was to be feared. Very T-Virus-esque style of King using all of the tools available. A scary 50-50 monster if you start dancing to his tunes of not knowing which grab to break
King’s Heat Smash I’d say is 2nd to Jin’s. The combo damage Jin gets from his when it wall splats or wall breaks is insane- and it will do both from halfway across the stage! 😂 Also, I hope Marduk doesn’t arrive for a long while because The Jon’s King is so good to watch
I might be crazy but think Jon primarily uses RKO when he has a round lead bc missing it/them ducking doesn’t cost him a set at that point, just the round maybe.
