ErnieC3 Something most people don't think of is super cells goals. I know for a fact that I can't legally prove that the chances of getting the last legendary that you want are very high when you have less than 40k and comparatively lower if you do. Hence they try to tempt you into getting that last legendary and completing the set. What supercell could do is keep all challenges on all the time. They could create ladders for challenges like triple elixir, etc where you have that special effect on all the time They could make legendary kings chests 1000 gems But they never will. The only meta they want is the credit card meta

What the game needs is more variety of win conditions, the last win condition we got was graveyard if Im not mistaken, the new cards have all been support troops imo

Ryan Hutchins he said it. Rely on your most maxed cards at the moment. Each time I up any card in my deck, my trophies always go up a hundred or two. Btw I'm a full time f2p gamer. Never spend a dime but always patiently climb to the top in any game I play
Supercell should buff the bomb tower and the witch. Give bomb tower death damage just like the balloon and giant skeleton and give the witch the spawn ability to summon a few skeletons when killed
Blitz Rave I've always thought that same idea with the Witch but great idea for the Bomb Tower man. Very creative and different from the normal HP, attack, or speed buff.
Blitz Rave the bomb tower idea should definitely be put in. Coc has exploding bomb towers on death so I have no idea why they wouldn’t include it in Royale
I agree on that... I was in Spell Valley 4 months ago ... believe it or not I am currently in Challenger 3 playing with 2.6 Hog Cycle (I am a F2P player)
The customizing your tower idea is beautiful! That would really open up options and mix things up. That was probably my favorite part of this video. Being able to have your deck compliment your tower would be really cool. Sure you might run into hard counters, but that happens already. This would give a lot of new decks to come into play, and we can stop seeing the same 3 or 4 decks everywhere on ladder.
KOJ inspires me as a free to play player. I just love to see that someone like me, (F2 play) is actually doing well, and has pro tips for the other f2 players. Great job KOJ!!!!

I really like random cards, even though it can get really unfair it is fun to learn each starting hand for your deck, I really think it makes you a better player. Maybe 2 fixed cards so you don't have those terrible starting hands that ruin your chance of winning.
Nice! I love KOJ's ideas. They are very original, and some might work. I think for the tourney standard ladder, you basically start at 0 cups, and its like normal ladder basically, but at tourney standard. The drawback is you don't win chests from it, but instead win a few gems or gold for each battle.
KOJ has interesting ideas. in my case, though, splash dmg tower would be an horror. the only cards i was so far able to level are in log bait deck, which in the last updates got so damn nerfed... knight, log, rocket, gang, etc. if they nerf princess i gotta change deck lol..several 'new' cards i still have at level 1, such as skeleton barrel, bats, etc, I don't even have phantom or magic archer. hence, tournament level ladder would be interesting
princess could be the win condition: also the same logic of surrounding splash damming units can be applied when sending a goblin barrel into the princess tower(Which is practically the norm when using goblin barrel) KOJ did say people will have to get more creative

Personally I see the reason why people would advocate fixed cards however my view would be that if you are playing at a high level or standard it should be a skill that's developed to be able to fix your cycle, find alternative counters, be able to react in uncomfortable situations. Yes, like the example with the hog, you could just have a terrible cycle in the beginning but you also have a chance of having a great roll in the beginning. I believe that the game isn't great because there's a single meta and a stagnant way of "you must play your cards like this in this order" but to be able to adapt to something that isn't under your control. I think there just a higher skill sealing in having random cards and random decks and being able to play around that over having a fix order. I think it would just polarize metas and decks even more.
Ash I just wanne say, I really love your vids, I mean like you show me CR isn't all about the placement from your cards or winning. You really teach me things out side of the box, you know what I mean ? You have a creative mind, it inspires me ! Thank you !
Lol true 4 months ago I was stuck in Jungle for some reason with no legendaries and whining about not being able to play any good decks because of the lack of legendaries and I was in a small 12 person clan. Now I'm still free to play, have all the cards, am in challenger 1 as a level 10, and am the leader of 50 person clan. So much has changed lol. I just got guddd.
I think pro is my favourite cause he's probably the most relatable pro out there. theres been so many situations where I'm lv 11 facing players with max fire ball zap g barrel and op commons. Thanks for the tips man and good luck on pushing . Also love your opinions on how the game could improve especially the tournament standard ladder days🤓.
Just a thought on the solution of people not playing cards at the beginning, just have an auto play function. After two ticks after hitting ten elixir the auto play plays whichever card is the furthest right on the screen. Some copycat games have that function and other games do in other ways. Or after a certain amount of time the player not playing is kicked and goes as a forfeit
Idk if u want my opinion but, he said there are the exact same meta decks and with players copying decks they can also copy there order and thats where the game will become stale. Take the goison meta for example, same exact deck is everywhere but now the same exact starting hand is everywhere so everyone will start a giant in the back and a prince right behind it, a musketere next and then its just whoever can poison more times
Copying a deck doesn't win you the game and the order of the deck copied is that players preferred starting hand doesn't mean to say it will work when you copy it, also wouldn't that only apply to a mirror match as you don't know what deck or order your opponent is using.
I always had this problem with leveling up my cards. As a free to play player I can only really play on ladder and even though I like switching up decks, I always meet this level barrier (zaps killing a goblin gang, musketeer dies to fireball etc.). I am currently level 12 at 4200-4400 trophies and I have been around this range since level 10. Thats a very long time :p My only epic is a level 6 balloon, 4 commons at level 12 and recently got most of my rares to 9. I just can't get myself to not rage when I battle level 13s with maxed troops or even level 10s with maxed hogs. Not to mention level 13 RG and e barbs and knights simply take forever to die. I've recently enjoyed the golem double prince deck and it's rejuvenated my interest in the game (where the season before that I had not played a single game). And even with such a tanky deck where you wouldn't think level differences matter as much, it just causes me way too many losses.
CHESS SUCKS? IS THIS AN INSULT TO SLL THE PEOPLE THAT PLAY CHESS? Chess is the simplest complex game that requires much skill and dedication . And it never gets boring because every game is different in some way, and the total estimated number of possible chess games is 10^120. And in our observable universe there are about 10^80 particles. So there are 10^40 chess games associated with each single particle in the universe. Just imagine!
Im just trying to explain to all the people that dont play chess and think its boring that it cant be boring. Those who think its boring think that way because they are too lazy to think about what to do in a chess game and they lack patience.
I feel the same way about the hunter i love the card concept and its another counter to miner and goblin barrel but can be a let down on defense sometimes hoping for a small buff to him in the future

I think his ideas are great, I would have liked to hear more about certain things from him. - Which cards level, how much, which decks etc. - How not to get upset / angry Personally, I am loud at good and bad duels, not always. I noticed that music helps me but it still happens. I want to be like Jake (Tag). - Find / train a competitive clan! etc.
Gotta give this one to you Ash , Just what KOJ said that he is even playing this game is because of you , its the same for me too. And the main thing is you cant really compete in this game too high on ladder as f2p because of the overlevelled cards . Been playing this game for like almost 2yrs now and I barely have lvl 12 commons , lvl 9 rare , lvl 6 epic and most of my legendary are lvl 2 as lvl 12 player , couldnt get any higher than 4300 . And why this happened ?? Its because of all those buffs and nerfs supercell doing for all those cards over the year. It Feels that Supercell gave a huge middlefinger to all those pro who said/says to upgrade the same cards you like most and play that same deck untill you think you are good to go with the other one 😂😂😂
Sushaaan Limbu i feel the same way. Im trying to get all level 6 epics and a maxed zap for my golem double prince deck that ash shared to hopefully get to league 3 but its hard versing so many level 12s with maxed cards
Alpacalypse you can't use more than 1 epic card on ladder if you are free to play, with the possible exception of skarmy which works ok under leveled. You have to be able to max one epic card through requests, consider swapping one of the prince out for a common or rare
Sushaaan Limbu yes iam 100%free to play, but i play so much games every day to get the fkking gold it sucks and is stressful, and i spend so much gold for my legendarys in my deck to get them lvl3, the bad Thing is i can play only one deck ladder cause the other cards still low lvl thats anoying....Sorry 4 my bad english btw iam german
Kestel I agree that you should be able to sit for a little while. If the finishing effect happened right away, what would happen if you lagged or needed to think of what you wanted to do before dropping a card? That would be just more frustration. Good suggestion
Thats just stupid. The incentive to playing a card is....you get more fucking elxiir?! There already is an incentive. I dont know about you, but the last time I watched competetive CR it wasn't bad at all.
Probably the freshest ideas I’d heard in a while, supercell really needs to hear KOJ especially about the tower ideas, it even got me reaching for my phone so I could write this (I watch CWA in Appletv)
Omg gotta love KOJ! The idea of tournament lvl ladder for a weekend would be so amazing! I could actually use other cards and try new decks that I never could before! Even if they just paused the trophies for the weekend to where u wouldn’t increase or decrease that would be awesome! Keep up the great vids ash and bring this guy on more!😂
I'm a proponent of random deck order. It's a card game. Having a tourney option and have competitions that have a set deck order is a good idea though! I can see the issue with big money tourney's and pro competitions and random deck order, having more options is good. Just keep them separate from the normal game.
You can't compete on ladder. You need every card in your deck maxed out, and even then if you can't switch decks and you make it to #1 then you will get scoped out and hard countered. Of course there are ways to improve skill wise but two good players head to head boils down to card levels and match ups. Unfortunately you can't run most epic or any legendary cards as free to play and hope to make it anywhere even near 5k, much less actually be competitive on ladder.
nice vid! I spent like 100 dollars on the game, reached master 1 with lvl 5 epic, 8 rare, and 11 common. I think that is awesome and i also got to 19 wins and 27k cards with barely any money
I just got the night witch and I was trying to make a deck with it but I'm not sure how. I don't have mega knight, inferno dragon, bandit, or lumberjack, so I'm kinda lost. Any ideas?

There’s a game on the AppStore called chaos battle league. It’s a like Clash Royale but had the idea KOJ spoke about tower upgrades. I like the idea definitely would make Clash Royale better

Gautham Arun ok...you are kinda right,but what do you think if you are in a low arena and you are not getting any legendary or something or even to push your trophies you think that you will be happy?! It’s so normal to delete the clash royale when you are not pushing your trophies... Like I’m pushing my trophies every day every month and I’m getting new cards...and you think that I’ll delete my clash royale or Sameone else do?! And you don’t have to be rude with someone that is giving just his idea!
I got some ideas too! If no cards have not been played for first 30s, 2x mode starts. This pressures players who definitely don't wanna go for super long double elixir time to make their first move. And if there is two golem decks with awful starting hands, so be it, this way it at least decreases the drawing chances when they just can't make a move before double elixir. This also gives more room for different strategies. Possibility to be able to lock one card, but if you do that your opponents is able to see what card you have locked to the point you first time play it. This is good so many ways too :)
Hey Ash loved the video however I don’t agree at all with princess tower abilities especially the splash. No one would run any swarm cards at all and we would be seeing a heavy hitting single target unit spam meta. However, making ladder tourney standard for one weekend sounds really good!

These are really thoughtful ideas! Great video! Another feature I was thinking would be an arena boss fight. The way I was thinking is that the first boss would use all the cards from goblin stadium, and the other bosses decks would always use cards from the arena and maybe add more themed cards if their isn't a full arena (ex: electro wizard in electro valley, and the final legendary boss would use an all legendary deck.) Then you could retry a harder version where they play smart and each bosses deck is themed. Some card ideas I have are toxic ogre, which is walking poison but has no death damage, attacking him will damage the troops (probably a rare card) refrigerator which spawns ice spirits (only one rare card missing in frozen peak to make it even numbers of card rarities) and assassin, a legendary card with a range that targets the weakest low health unit (each shot can kill a minion) but when attacked he becomes a melee unit untill there are no enemy units within four tiles, then he becomes a ranged sniper again. He also hits behind troops, so if there's a hog rider following goblins he would kill the goblins even if hog is in front. I know this is super lenghty but if you like the idea and comment that would be awesome. I love the vids, and I love learning f2p strats because I am a 100% f2p myself
Great tips for F2P players like me! I am always enraged whenever I lose to max card level players, since I use tournament level cards only. But, thanks to KOJ, I can see that someone can relate to these struggles! Thanks! :)
omg these are such creative and interessting ideas. In my opinion at lot of those would solve the problem and make cr a better game. I hope supercell is listening. btw ash great content ... bring KOJ more often on the cannel he has great ideas.
Also regarding the fixed starting cards, I'm a full supporter of it. Becoming "cookie cutter" doesn't necessarily mean boring. Take the recent battle royale hype where every game is the same. Drop into the map, find loot, kill other players and survive till the end. Rinse and repeat. In the case regarding CR fixed cards, it just gives you more control and adds a new layer to deck building.

Just a thought on the solution of people not playing cards at the beginning, just have an auto play function. After two ticks after hitting ten elixir the auto play plays whichever card is the furthest right on the screen. Some copycat games have that function and other games do in other ways. Or after a certain amount of time the player not playing is kicked and goes as a forfeit
Idk if u want my opinion but, he said there are the exact same meta decks and with players copying decks they can also copy there order and thats where the game will become stale. Take the goison meta for example, same exact deck is everywhere but now the same exact starting hand is everywhere so everyone will start a giant in the back and a prince right behind it, a musketere next and then its just whoever can poison more times

Copying a deck doesn't win you the game and the order of the deck copied is that players preferred starting hand doesn't mean to say it will work when you copy it, also wouldn't that only apply to a mirror match as you don't know what deck or order your opponent is using.

I always had this problem with leveling up my cards. As a free to play player I can only really play on ladder and even though I like switching up decks, I always meet this level barrier (zaps killing a goblin gang, musketeer dies to fireball etc.). I am currently level 12 at 4200-4400 trophies and I have been around this range since level 10. Thats a very long time :p My only epic is a level 6 balloon, 4 commons at level 12 and recently got most of my rares to 9. I just can't get myself to not rage when I battle level 13s with maxed troops or even level 10s with maxed hogs. Not to mention level 13 RG and e barbs and knights simply take forever to die. I've recently enjoyed the golem double prince deck and it's rejuvenated my interest in the game (where the season before that I had not played a single game). And even with such a tanky deck where you wouldn't think level differences matter as much, it just causes me way too many losses.

I think his ideas are great, I would have liked to hear more about certain things from him. - Which cards level, how much, which decks etc. - How not to get upset / angry Personally, I am loud at good and bad duels, not always. I noticed that music helps me but it still happens. I want to be like Jake (Tag). - Find / train a competitive clan! etc.

Gotta give this one to you Ash , Just what KOJ said that he is even playing this game is because of you , its the same for me too. And the main thing is you cant really compete in this game too high on ladder as f2p because of the overlevelled cards . Been playing this game for like almost 2yrs now and I barely have lvl 12 commons , lvl 9 rare , lvl 6 epic and most of my legendary are lvl 2 as lvl 12 player , couldnt get any higher than 4300 . And why this happened ?? Its because of all those buffs and nerfs supercell doing for all those cards over the year. It Feels that Supercell gave a huge middlefinger to all those pro who said/says to upgrade the same cards you like most and play that same deck untill you think you are good to go with the other one 😂😂😂

Alpacalypse you can't use more than 1 epic card on ladder if you are free to play, with the possible exception of skarmy which works ok under leveled. You have to be able to max one epic card through requests, consider swapping one of the prince out for a common or rare

Kestel I agree that you should be able to sit for a little while. If the finishing effect happened right away, what would happen if you lagged or needed to think of what you wanted to do before dropping a card? That would be just more frustration. Good suggestion

I'm a proponent of random deck order. It's a card game. Having a tourney option and have competitions that have a set deck order is a good idea though! I can see the issue with big money tourney's and pro competitions and random deck order, having more options is good. Just keep them separate from the normal game.

You can't compete on ladder. You need every card in your deck maxed out, and even then if you can't switch decks and you make it to #1 then you will get scoped out and hard countered. Of course there are ways to improve skill wise but two good players head to head boils down to card levels and match ups. Unfortunately you can't run most epic or any legendary cards as free to play and hope to make it anywhere even near 5k, much less actually be competitive on ladder.
nice vid! I spent like 100 dollars on the game, reached master 1 with lvl 5 epic, 8 rare, and 11 common. I think that is awesome and i also got to 19 wins and 27k cards with barely any money

I got some ideas too! If no cards have not been played for first 30s, 2x mode starts. This pressures players who definitely don't wanna go for super long double elixir time to make their first move. And if there is two golem decks with awful starting hands, so be it, this way it at least decreases the drawing chances when they just can't make a move before double elixir. This also gives more room for different strategies. Possibility to be able to lock one card, but if you do that your opponents is able to see what card you have locked to the point you first time play it. This is good so many ways too :)
Hey Ash loved the video however I don’t agree at all with princess tower abilities especially the splash. No one would run any swarm cards at all and we would be seeing a heavy hitting single target unit spam meta. However, making ladder tourney standard for one weekend sounds really good!

These are really thoughtful ideas! Great video! Another feature I was thinking would be an arena boss fight. The way I was thinking is that the first boss would use all the cards from goblin stadium, and the other bosses decks would always use cards from the arena and maybe add more themed cards if their isn't a full arena (ex: electro wizard in electro valley, and the final legendary boss would use an all legendary deck.) Then you could retry a harder version where they play smart and each bosses deck is themed. Some card ideas I have are toxic ogre, which is walking poison but has no death damage, attacking him will damage the troops (probably a rare card) refrigerator which spawns ice spirits (only one rare card missing in frozen peak to make it even numbers of card rarities) and assassin, a legendary card with a range that targets the weakest low health unit (each shot can kill a minion) but when attacked he becomes a melee unit untill there are no enemy units within four tiles, then he becomes a ranged sniper again. He also hits behind troops, so if there's a hog rider following goblins he would kill the goblins even if hog is in front. I know this is super lenghty but if you like the idea and comment that would be awesome. I love the vids, and I love learning f2p strats because I am a 100% f2p myself

Also regarding the fixed starting cards, I'm a full supporter of it. Becoming "cookie cutter" doesn't necessarily mean boring. Take the recent battle royale hype where every game is the same. Drop into the map, find loot, kill other players and survive till the end. Rinse and repeat.
In the case regarding CR fixed cards, it just gives you more control and adds a new layer to deck building.
