Goldendoodles are adaptable, intelligent, and remarkably sensitive to their owner's emotions. That’s why so many Goldendoodles find roles as service dogs, guide dogs, and therapy dogs.
The first Goldendoodle puppies were actually developed in the 1990s as “allergy-free” guide dogs for those who are visually impaired but also burdened with dog allergies.
The physical features of breeds like the Goldendoodle can vary drastically from dog to dog. That said, Goldendoodles are generally born with one of three coat types: shaggy, curly, or straight. Goldendoodle coats also vary in color, from copper, white, and cream, to gray, golden, apricot, red, and even black.
Though Goldendoodles are famously healthy, and easy-to-care-for dogs, owners still need to look out for common health issues like elbow and hip dysplasia and patellar luxation. Fortunately, hybrid dogs, like the Goldendoodle, also benefit from something called Heterosis, or “hybrid-vigor”, which makes them generally healthier than most purebred dogs.

Got 3 a small a medium and large best dogs ever!!
I’ve always been a cat person. But I got my son a dog when he was little- a boarder collie/shih tzu mix. Pup passed a few years ago at 16 years old from cancer. My son was away at college, so I had to handle it alone. That was really painful to lose him.
Two years ago, my neighbor’s dog got in my yard and killed my adopted stray who was sleeping on my hot tub. That was heartbreaking. She thought she was safe at home.
So I haven’t been much of a dog person since then. But I’m still a bleeding heart for animals in general.
Now, I have a friend staying with me who has a golden doodle puppy, 13 weeks old. This dog is terribly misbehaved. He’s pretty good in his crate now. He’s usually quiet, but only if it’s covered with a blanket. Occasional potty accident if he has the poops.
Otherwise, he’s not potty or pad trained, and he barks and whines constantly unless he’s getting attention, even if he has toys. He bites everything and everyone because he’s teething, even though he has teething toys.
He’s scaring my indoor cats. They hide if he’s not in his crate, but they loved my dog. My pup was much easier to train.
I am so stressed by this pup. If anyone has any advice, I’m all ears! 🐶
When I got my girl, I had a massive crate all set up with her pillows.. when I brought her home, she WAS A TERROR!!😂😂. I had to set boundaries and all that,but the first thing she got to love, was her bed!!
Setting boundaries is so important when bringing a new pet home!
I have a golden doodle and she’s a great girl however, he gets carsick a lot. What can I do to help her out?
My goldendoodle pup gets carsick. Also, vet gave me a pill named CERENIA, which worked wonders. He suggested to use it a couple of times to break the cycle of car sickness. Also suggested to put her in the car in the garage and bring her back inside. Drive around the block. And increase the duration of time in the car. Hope this helps.
I used to give my dog half a Dramamine. Worked perfect. He weighed 11 pounds

And another question my golden doodle is five months old she at night time she’s allowed to sleep with us in our room and she’s very good however, for some odd reason she does not know how to jump into the bed we always had to pick her up and put her in her jumping skills or not what I expected. Is this normal over that she change?
Crate training? Wth??? People never put your dogs in cages. That's cruel, teach them, trust them.. or don't have them.. those crates were intended for traveling ONLY. Not to live in , or be some kind of babysitter, because you lack in training them, so therefore, they suffer because of it. The only time a dog should ever be in a cage, is either at the groomers, the hospital or traveling.
I appreciate your concern for the well-being of dogs. Crate training, when done properly, can actually provide a safe and comfortable space for them.
