1 Tonne Chain Hoist Melt & Street Scrapping - ASMR Metal Melting - Trash To Treasure - Bulk Bars
Good to see all your beautiful people back once again with the melting Muppet. Bit of a long one today but a hell of a lot of melts going on which is always welcome and some awesome bits and pieces added to the vault. So sit back relax enjoy the video but most importantly have a happy safe weekend and I hope to see all you People next Friday for another one 👊🏻😁
You’ll see me every Friday
I love all the new molds. That magpie is pretty brassy now that it's used to the shop. Still thinking of a name. Maybe Circlet because it keeps coming around.
Zincky (zeen-key) for your magpie friend!
Maggie the magpie or Queenie
Thanks for another great video, BSD! Always nice to see the ice-smash.
I vote for calling the magpie The Inspector. It's his job to ensure the melting muppet is always hard at work 😄
The inspector - I love it!
😂😂
The Inspector cameos always make my day, such a cutie
There are a lot of comments, so maybe it already was there, but I think you should name the magpie "Melty")
BigstackD never fails to give magpie tax
I have ZERO qualms spending an hour and a half of my birthday watching a BigStackD video. Life is good!
Happy (belated) birthday! hope u enjoyed it!
@PUG87YONI Sure did! Had a great day with family, and I even had a nap in the middle of the day! Cheers! 🍻
Too funny 2 weeks later and I’m doing the same. Cheers
I really appreciate the good camera work, the music the subtle fun and critters.
In Canada the weather is getting cold and grim, nice to see blue skies and birds. NEVER complain about the heat, go under the shade and have a cool beverage because somewhere a Canuck is freezing his gonads.
Yep, grey, cold and wet around Montreal today. My joints are aching.
@@isabelleblanchet3694veni a vivir a Argentina...hay tantas provincias hermosas
Welll said. It's not FREEZING here in Vancouver, but zero degrees exactly when it's as soaking wet as it always is here feels worse then dry cold. I envy BigD the upcoming summer!
11°f in the Chicago area this morning!
honestly one of my favorite parts of your videos is watching you break stuff down. Makes me so happy
hi big stackd my name is daniel joel ybarra, and I have been a subscriber for a few years now. I really do enjoy watching you make a difference in this world. by melting down old trash and turning it into new treasure. you are the difference we need in this world. keep up the good work sir. my hat is off to you sir. I love to watch your videos with my dogs and budgies. o absolutely loves your country; I have never been but maybe one day. lol I'm already 49 and I'm still dreaming of one day in the future. lol. anyway, thanks for all the good vibes.
Thanks, Daniel, I appreciate the kind words and support! 🙏
G'day, mate
What a great video you uploaded this Friday, a huge amount of metal, aluminium, bronze, zinc, pewter.
What a good way to differentiate between aluminium and zinc by the weight difference between the two metals.
I reckon the bird should be called Copper.
Looks like it's really hot, 30 degrees Celsius; we’ll probably see him buying ice cream from Mr Whippy soon.
Excellent work, mate.
Hope you have a great week.
Cheers, Max.
Thanks again, buddy. I really do appreciate it. My mate actually has a Mr whippy van and as it’s coming into the warmer months there’s a possibility he will drive out and let me make my own ice cream but we will see as I live a little bit away from him 👍🏻. Thanks again buddy. Have a great weekend.
Now I better get back out there and figure out what I’m doing next week 🤔
ANOTHER AWESOME WEEK!!!!
Thank YOU so much D!!! Thank you for allowing us to be a part of you family every week, and sharing you AMAZING Melting skills with the world! This REALLY IS my FAVORITE part of the week... EVERY WEEK!!! lol YOU ROCK!! 💪💥👍✌
The missus says his name should be Sid. Short for Sidney I reckon. Also since you've got a bunch of cool coin molds I vote for making some more cast iron coins. I love how dark they look next to all the other coins in the chest. :)
Hey buddy, cheers for the super thanks. I really appreciate it. You’re an absolute champion. Quite a lot of interesting names to call the magpie so I’m gonna have to definitely sit down when I get some time and go through the comments. There’s hundreds of comments to go through so I’ll have to get them most chosen names out and then do a poll to finalise the little Guys’s name. Thanks again buddy. Much appreciated. Have an awesome weekend👊🏻😁🍻🍻
The first thing I thought of when I saw the copper getting nestled in the aluminum serving tray, my mind went "Oh look, a metal baked potato!" Anyway thank you for all the nice metal melts! 😁
I’d like you to know that regardless of you calling yourself a muppet all the time, Us fans think you’re not a muppet at all, but an absolute LEGEND for hustling these videos out every week without fail for us. We think you’re selling yourself short! Thanks yet again!
Greetings from Ukraine
When melting aluminum, I add 10g of salt + 10g of baking soda wrapped in foil to a 10 kg crucible and the temperature should preferably be 650-700C.
Stir well for 1-2 minutes and collect the slag, it will be dry without pieces of aluminum, while impurities in the form of metals and gases are removed.
Borax does the same, no?
@@keebbles Borax is not suitable for aluminum, other fluxes are suitable for aluminum. Borax is more suitable for copper alloys.
Being in the oil field and construction all my life, you hae made me start looking at things in a different way. I keep and melt a lot of things that would be trashed and turn them into new items I can use. Thanks Bigstack.
Those new coin molds are gonna be AWESOME for a future melt!
That vibrating machine is genius! And the way the metal ripples on the surface is just beautiful
My nephew sitting with me said, Forge is a good name :)
The name Maple immediately came to mind for the magpie.
Man, I cheer like my favorite team has scored every time he smashes the ice
Hands down the best metal melt content on YT!
Wonderful melts today, I'm in the middle of moving, so i started watching your video at 6:00 am, and I'm just finishing it here at 5:30 pm. It was well worth it. All the melts were great. I really enjoyed the zinc and the aluminum bronze I beloeve you said. It was outstanding! Take care and have a good week!!
You are remarkably organized. Also, I think I can speak for many of us in that we'd love to see an off-site Beach Melt some day! Maybe you can do something with sand - make a crude glass to go with whatever metal? Spitballing - because making rudimentary glass in hind-sight now sounds like a terrible idea.
My daughter Freya says the magpie should be called Oreo. Thanks for the content bud, it’s always so relaxing to sit with her and watch
Those new molds look super high quality.....might be time for me to start experimenting with melting some stuff 😊
WOW! That gold color is really nice! 😍 Love the look of those new molds!
It's always a good start to a Friday with a BigStackD video.
Thank you for all the videos, have to say you've become my favorite YT channel. This particular one made the flight I'm currently on more bearable.
I always know I have a bad sleep schedule when I catch one of these within 3 hours of posting, but this time I think it counts as insomnia. I’m not complaining though because these videos are always phenomenal!
Also the magpie should be Sterling. Like silver.
I second Sterling. Go's with the metals theme ^^
@@corvaxblackfeather6529 Sterling always wins. :D
Thankful for BigstackD, Mrs StackD, the Monkeys, Devil Forge, giant motors, little scraps, and everything that's made the past decade+ of Friday uploads possible.
Thanks, BigstackD! 🤎
Great haul. Great selection. Loved the coins and kets not firget....the BOYS!. Thanks for another great vudeo
Love the new molds!! Can't wait to see them poured, look extremely well made! 🍺
The aluminum fencing montage was top-notch phenomenal. Well done, you!
Thanks for showing us how you let things "practically fall apart", and the melts today were boss, especially the Zinc. Didn't know the hollow 'splode's like that...
Maybe consider 'Al', for "Alpha?", as in first. For birdy.
Finally, I'd like to say, "hello" to all of Mrs StackD, not just the bits we saw...great episode.
Oh man, those new molds are stunning. You are going to be dangerously with those!
Those molds look very high quality... glad to see we are still producing stuff for the rest of the world that isnt junk lol
Those new coin molds are AWESOME, can't wait for the video!
Magpie looks like a Jeeves to me.
Molten balls of metal running off copper wire was one of the coolest things I've seen in a long time!
I think that's the cleanest Brass pour I've ever seen you do. That must have been some seriously clean brass because it normally pours so ugly. Looks great after cleanup but pours ugly. Great video!
Timeless foundry - awesome molds. I’ve been using them for over a year and they make the best coins. I have a few more on the way today. Excellent acquisition by you can’t wait to see the melts with them 👍
Oldgitious from the UK appreciates Bigstack for all the great vids
Bravo, you finally used my advice about the vibration base, it took you a while to do it 😜 that is done even for aluminum or copper castings but in a pit isolated from the heat
Nice haul! I loved seeing all the zinc. Thanks again for posting, I really enjoy your videos.
I wake up from a turkey coma to find a new Stack vid. One more thing to be thankful for.
You are awesome for these videos. I watch them to kind of quiet my mind before going to sleep. I will admit that I have slept through some of the videos. But I try my best not to kiss them. It is a good way to relax. Thank you for the awesome content.
Those molds look Awesome! Can't wait to see them used.
The old molded aluminum trims and furniture items are definitely my favorite to watch you break up lol
HONEY GRAB THE KIDS BIGSTACKD IS SMASHING ICE AGAIN!!!
Another great melt , can’t wait for those new molds to be used . Very nice
another amazing work thanks bro your videos are my number one pick for lunch time, also thanks for the headsup before droping that heavy steel piece on the ice, it didnt bothered me like it used to this time, as always another great video keep up the amazing work
Great job!
I liked the coins too... that little vibrator seems to work....
Those new molds look amazing....
Awesome quality moulds brother and an even more awesome episode off to have a look stay safe brother
What gorgeous new molds! Can’t wait to see the output!
Love how you don't take yourself to serious, calling yourself the Melting mupprt.
An enlightened soul for sure
You and Cutting Edge Engineering are some of the few channels that gives applications to your viewers, and it’s refreshing to see.
The coins turned out amazing! 👏 Your editing and the way you put your videos together, with lil musical effects🎶🎶 like when you're drilling out screws etc is so good! This one is packed with lotsa interesting stuff and I've learned new facts too. So, totally enjoyed it.
Onya Bigstackd 👍
Well there's the problem. The switch is broken!
Another great video, we thank you sir. Those new molds are beautiful
I cant Fookin wait to see some of them Viking coins !
Nice haul for a week's worth of work. Love the coins and I think doing those new coins in different metals might be fun to see. Thanks for the video and looking forward to the coin video.
new molds look great, looking forward to then being filled👍
Guys! He's close to 1.5M Subscribers! Put the word out! Let's get him that 1.5M!
The term "Muppet" was coined by Jim Henson, the creator of the Muppets, in the 1950s. Henson claimed that the word was a combination of the words "marionette" and "puppet". However, he later said that he only said this because it sounded plausible, and that he actually liked the way the word sounded.
Hi bigstackD!! Hey...just so you know, on the circuit boards.....the mosfits are copper and the legs attaching them are too. These are the black tabs that are often screwed to the aluminum heatsinks. They are also mounted in other spots on the boards too sometimes. It all adds up. Just got my first Segway to take apart and melt down.
At 33:10 in the video, you can see the circuit board in the blue bucket. One mosfit is at the top let when looking at it in the screen, closest to where your fingers are in the screenshot.
Keep up the great videos and give Ingot and Bullion an extra snack for me :)
Wow! A melt for Thanksgiving! Thank you for all you do!
Jeff-fa-fa. That is his name, Jeff-fa-fa. Love your show. It's what got me in to smelting and now I can't stop.
surely call the maggie WingstackD!
@@maxweichelt7543 How about "Kibble"?
Its 1 am i cant sleep watching the melt and then ur snack a beef n gravy sandwich i think ill have myself a late night snack!!!!!!
We appreciate you too😊 Greats from Germany
There i schlies me on !!!!! :)
HELL YEAH! Always a treat to see the metal melt early in the morning! Hugs and Love for the Monkeys! Much Luv from Florida! 💪🏼❤️🐻
Celtic Horse Coin? Damn i would even go as far as ordering one from you ;)
For the life of me, I was convinced that you were going to polish that tankard up and keep it. It would have looked sweet on 1 of your shelves. I suppose pewter doesn't come along very often.
Absolutely love everything about your videos.
Thanks for many an hour well spent and enjoyed 😊
Every video makes me want to go and get a forge 😂
Cheers from rural Canterbury, NZ
Starting my Black Friday work morning at 5am EST, my BigStackD video at 6am. Great way to start the day. Also, the magpie should be named Bill. Seems like a fitting name. Or Xander since he seems like a bad ass fighting off those mean crows.
All those beautiful molds! Time for some more Nordic gold maybe?! 😮
Right on!! Ice smash!!!!❤
The new molds are absolutely stunning. Such high quality craftsmanship, I can’t wait till you use them.
That’s the first time I’ve seen you just the vibration machine in this way, it really makes a difference in the presentation of the coins.
Coffee, ✔️
Peanutbutter crackers to go with the coffee, ✔️
Fat bowl full of cannabis, ✔️
My cat who also seems to like watching this (probably because of the birds), ✔️ mate. 😂
Today is gonna be a great day. ❤
Thank you for another awesome video. 🙏
Die Hard is a top tier Christmas movie.
Heckle and Jeckle are good names for magpies 😅
Name the magpie chief. He's the one always inspecting your work and your working environment to make sure everything is up to standard.
Bro is going to melt the whole world into bars
I am so thankful for your videos, they ease my anxiety so much 😊 Fridays are now my favorite day bc there's always a new video waiting when I wake up! ❤
I’m glad you’re enjoying the videos and they help you my friend 👊🏻😁
fixing my sleep schedule can wait, new melting video to watch :3
I love it when your videos are over an hour long!! As always, great stuff. I love watching you disassemble stuff!! Till next Friday, be safe out there my friend 😊
We need a bigstackd x streettips precious metal collab!
Agreed. I second this motion. All in favour ✋🏻
@@CSMMaster Aye.
I've recommended this a couple times. He's gotta do something with that trash bin full of circuit boards.
A collab with Sreetips sounds amazing.
(Only a single "T" in sreetips.)
@steveskouson9620 I did think that but wasn't sure lol
Looking forward to seeing the new molds in action! The Viking coins are especially awesome!
Thank you for all you do!
😍 Excellent content this week sir you really put the work in,so many different hot and cool items going on I have burned my fingers 100x
You say toasty, and I remember that your summer is our winter! Lol. 30 degrees F here in Arkansas!
Fellow arkansan here. Where u at?
@CharlesAllen-n2f Bentonville! How's your crazy black Friday going?
Thanks for another great video! I love it when you dismantle machinery 😎
Oreo would be a good name for that magpie
The breakdowns are my favourite part of the video. 👍🏻
I think your Magpie should be called “SLAG"
You make everything look so easy.
Love the longer vids MrD Cheers to you 😍😍
Love me some Friday Bigstackin’!
Those molds look pretty sweet. I rather like the little history blurbs explaining the origins of the pattern that come with them
Yeah, they’re great molds, and the history bits really add to it!
@@bigstackD What did you do for Thanksgiving?
Video was awesome and those molds you got look really cool! Can’t wait for you to use them!
Woohoo...BigStackD day.
WOW! Love the new molds. Can't wait!
It would be interesting to find out what 5% copper and 95% aluminum would produce for an alloy 🤔
I hope we get another slag melting video, they always feel so satisfying to watch.
I am SO envious of the way you hand-feed the magpies! That is so cool. Anyway, talking of magpies, how about the name Wanda for the one that 'wanda's' around your workshop?
beautiful! a new video. just in time on this weird day. thank you!
