You got to get a 4x4 slash and upgrade it to a 6s with the street tires. and i promise that will not disappoint. i built one a few years back and it never disappoints.
I do have the “100mph Traxxas Slash”…that pretty much is a 6s on street tires…granted I’m running foam tires on it now…and I’ve never really used it for hooning…but maybe at some point
I’m just hanging out in my hobby room, working on my own Traxxas/watching this video. After seeing what you did at the three minute mark I decided to check my spur gear and I am so grateful I did because it was very loose Dude I have never seen one shoot out of the trans cover. Damn!
Yeah that will happen with heat…the grub screws tend to back out…granted this is all Hot Racing Gears at this point…it’s pretty much the same across the board
The Slash is so versatile isn't it.! I've got the Slash Raptor 2wd & I've had it configured in so many ways with different bodies, wheels/tyres & motors, it always puts a smile on my face.!! 😁😁😁 I've just bought a new Proline 81 Bronco bodyshell for it, I can't wait to paint it up & fit it.!! 👍 👍 👍 Stay safe out there mate & the very best wishes from Scotland 🏴 🙏 ❤️ 📻 🕹️ 🔋 🚗 🚖 🚕 🚔 🚚 🚙 🚘 🚓 🚒 🚑 🚐 🚎 🚤 🚁 🛩️ 👍 👍 👍
Cool experiment with Hoons tires, although i think that slash had aluminum hub carriers in the rear and i think you need to use threadlock on them or else they'll work their way loose. But great video all together neat to see a 2wd Slash out bashing i used to have 2 of them but i sold\traded away both them.
Yeah I used thread lock on them originally….I think I put more thread lock on in this video, I can’t remember…..I’m glad to hear you enjoyed the video though!
omg. i really like the parkinglots in the USA. Its like a whole ''country'' if you see the size of it. In the the netherlands its just 100 times smaller.
@@RCKnockout ok. I am going to order both. This is suppose to be an enjoyable hobby. I find myself getting flustered by the lack of stability. Need to change it up!
It's not uncommon for those arrma wheels to be unbalanced straight out the pack, especially after that much use, probly why they are jumping around like that. I actually made up my own wheel balancer because of that, works great too! Love the vids!
Thanks for letting me know! I didn’t know that…that’s kinda surprising since the tires are pretty low profile but they definitely didn’t seem balanced when it was bouncing lol
@@RCKnockout lol no problem. I've bought 5 sets of the gold and 3 sets of the silver so far and I'd say probly half of them where out of balance. I don't know if it's the foam inside doing it or if the tire itself just wasn't molded quite rite, but yea if u have good wheel bearings on one of your front wheels u can just put the car up on sumthing level and give wheel a little spin and it will settle with the heaviest spot on the bottom and then I use little bits of the Hudy wheel balancing putty. Just add small bits at a time until the wheel stops settling in the same spot. You'll notice a pretty significant difference like when u pick the car up and hit the throttle letting the wheels free spin there won't be any vibration if u get it just rite. But even if it's not perfect it will still be alot smoother. That also helps with tracking straight on speed runs

Glad it led you to check your own….I’ve never seen that happen before either lol 😂
it happened to me too, it doesn't shoot out, it rubs a hole into the cover and simply falls off
@@theskronklbeep I guess that does make sense…it seemed to happen pretty quick though
We need more tire swap videos! I want to see 2.8 anacondas or rustler 4x4 tires!
Maybe I’ll have to make more of these kind of videos….I do enjoy trying different setups!
ive noticed a common thing with traxxas vehicles is that set screw seems to back out a lot
Yeah that will happen with heat…the grub screws tend to back out…granted this is all Hot Racing Gears at this point…it’s pretty much the same across the board
That's why in the manual says to glue them down
The 1412 is a beast . Geared up some that will be a rocket.
No doubt! It’s a Great Motor!

Definetly try the proline street fighters. They stay sticky and just driving at low speeds it picks up the small rocks in the street
I’ll have to check them out, thanks for the recommendation!

Yeah this one’s pretty good sized….a lot of space for activities lol
With those tires were you able to make turns with slowing to a crawl? Mine is a stock 2wd Slash and it is a roll over machine.
@@thunderbomb515 yeah this one has the Lcg chassis so it doesn’t roll nearly as easy

Thanks! Glad you liked it!
I’d say them rears are donezo bud
Yeah the rears are finished lol 😂
Yesir
Oh yeah!
Just had a curiosity what driveshaft are you using?
I’m using some Steel Integy Driveshafts…they’re actually really strong
@@RCKnockout yeah I’m gonna have to get those in another set of RPM arms because the heavy duty driveshafts do not fit with the RPM arms.
@@callsignmohas5190 I gotcha….yeah they’re pretty good and reasonably priced…about $45
Where did you get the steel axels from?
