I worked with you quite a while ago. My hair has changed since we met. It is now way stronger but is still fine and gets tangled easily. What I learned with you has grown my hair so much. Now, I keep it trimmed and/or cut to my desired length. Winter is still a challenge keeping it moisturized.
Hi Jernell, it's good to hear from you ☺️ I'm proud of you for sticking with your healthy hair techniques over all these years. I remember you were also looking for a stylist in you area. Did you ever find someone that you feel comfortable with to help you with trims? In regards to keeping your hair moisturized during the colder months, how often are you remoisturizing and how many layers of products do you use? Also, is your hair styled in a low manipulation style or loose?
@kaylarattigan5813 Thank you so much for your interest in working together! The pricing of this service is listed on my website, which is linked in my description box. ❤️
@@PowerInYourCurl Good to hear from you and see you back again. I never found a stylist. I go to my old hairstylist (straight natural) to get trims. I have been mostly doing protective styling myself. Now that my hair is longer, I do protective for a few days and then untwist for a few days before my wash day. I normally use a leave in, a styler, and then an oil.
Thank you ❤️ Is your email the same? I have come across a few stylists in your surrounding area since we last worked together that may be worth checking out if you would like someone to be able to twist your hair up/style it in its natural state every once in a while. If this would be helpful and your email isn't the same can you DM me on IG @powerinyourcurl? Also, adding in one more moisturizing layer between your leave-in and styler may be helpful now that its colder outside. A hair milk or hair cream should boost your moisture levels up a bit more. 😊
I've been wanting to start my healthy hair journey. This video came at the perfect time! I know one of my struggles though is trying to find products that are more sustainable but that also actually work with my hair
Hi Kenya. I don't normally comment on videos, but I have to say. I've been following you for a couple of years and love your content. This is great solid advice. For years, I kept my hair shoulder length to maintain the shape for wash and goes. Last year, I decided to grow my hair. I don't have any particular length goals, just trying to retain length (and see how long it gets). I've been pretty successful and a lot of what I am doing was mention in this video. There was some trial and error. But I found a simple routine that works for me. I see my stylist 4x a year for a trim and assessment. When you find the right routine and know your hair, the process after is so much better. I found that, less is best. In the summer I do wash and goes and in the winter I keep my hair stretched (blow out, twisted or straightened).
thank you for taking the time to comment today. it means so much to me to hear your thoughts. ❤️ I love to hear how you are being so intentional in figuring out what works for you and have seen the fruit of this effort. the trial and error part can get discouraging but you should be so proud that you pushed through and made it to your victory. It's like an uphill climb until you find what works and then the path smooths out. please continue to pour into yourself 🌹☺️
You are so glowing. The hair, the lip combo, the overall experience of this video is beautiful. Thank you for all the gems. I am currently on a new hair journey in terms of bouncing back to having the most healthy hair. So this knowledge will be very handy. ❤
Thank you so much. I receive this fully. 😌 I'm happy that this video could support you in where you are right now on your journey. I'm proud of you for bouncing back and starting again with all the wisdom you've gained from your past lessons. You are only getting better with time. 🌹
Thank you for this info!! I think you mentioned you have fine hair…I do as well and struggle with matting at the root with my two-strand twice. Do you have any resources, courses or advice for that? That’s my biggest challenge
If feel like God sent me this video lol I want long hair butty length for once in my life. It never goes past mid back. Thank you for sharing and the encouragement.
yesss, i love when my videos reach exactly who i had in mind when i was filming it. 🙌🏽 anything you can see in your mind and feel called to, you can co-create in your reality. i'm excited for you to hit your goal and also for the lessons you will learn along the way. 🥰 you're welcome!
Hi Mariel! I'm so happy it resonated with you. You are capable of achieving your goals and sustaining your newfound growth. I'm so excited for you! ☺️🩷
Wonderful video, full of gems to help us reach for and obtain our hair goals. I have to admit though, my mind kept going to the idea that you are now a mom,; where is the little one? 😘
Thank you beautiful. ❤️ Haha! Usually when I film, the baby is with Vernon. He (the baby) loves to be held and talk which makes it hard to concentrate on filming when he's awake and ready to play 😄 I appreciate you asking about him!
the redken cleansing cream is an excellent clarifying shampoo because it gives a true deep clean. as long as you don't apply too much, it isn't overly drying either. this is a good option when you have a lot of product build up, have used products with silicones or might be coming out of heat styled hair. a bentonite clay mask once a month/quarter isn't necessary, but can be a nice addition to your regimen because it resets the hair and makes it feel like new again.
My biggest problem is fairy knots. Once my hair reaches shoulder length the individual strands will have a knot on it mid way up the strand. So I experience hair fall and length looks like shit 😂 helppppp
@lilaw2757 The best way to get rid of single strands knots is to keep your hair stretched, not allowing it to curl onto itself . Also, maybe you just wanna make sure you’re correctly moisturizing and that means your hair is able to maintain moisture for at least three days if you’re not you may want play around with different sealants and leaving conditioners, to see how you can maintain moisture in your hair
yess, what kiwikeki said! also, i have seen that when people run into certain challenges once their hair reaches a certain length, it's because the hair habits that got you to that length are not intentional enough to get you past that length. experiencing fairy knots half way up the hair strand also suggests that you are experiencing a high level of tangling with your hair. do you protect your hair with a silk/satin scarf at night? do you "organize" the hair in a loose ponytail, bun or twists before going to bed? does your hair experience tension or friction either through how you are handling it or from rubbing against the couch, your car's headrest or your clothing? any of these habits can cause tangling and lead to what you are describing. observe your hair and how you handle it over the next few days to see if you can pinpoint areas in your regimen where undue stress is placed on your hair. 🩷

What product do you reccomend for clarifying? TfS

I’m dealing with single strand knots and trust me, my hair is shorter than yours. I even had a useless haircut

wishing you a beautiful week ahead Queen! 🌹❤️
