keep in mind when you’re getting oils for daily use, pick according to your hair. Using black castor oil made my hair constantly feel heavy and weighed down, because I have fine and thick hair. I use almond and jojoba & coconut depending on what I need to for versus me using grape seed and castor. Because my hair is moderately thin, and the oil was so thick, my shampoo wasn’t cleaning the excess oil out and I was still left with invisible oil on my strands. So, even though I didn’t feel the thick oils, I still felt like my hair wasn’t getting clean for some reason. My hair also started breaking off because the oils made it so weak. I stoped using oil period for about 2 weeks, I switched to almond and jojoba and my hair stopped feeling weighed down and unclean. my hair wasn’t getting weak anymore.
That’s a great tip, thank you!🥰 I switch on and off between heating it up on my stove top or in warm water or sometimes the microwave - more just how I’m feeling that day 😭🤣
Beautiful hair and young lady! Thanks for sharing this tutorial! 😃👏🏾 My 20 year old daughter has thick 4c hair like yours and length that gets extremely dry! Especially in the winter months! I didn’t even know that oil drip tool existed! 😅 Ordering for her today. Amazon has four 6oz bottles for $6.99! Didn’t realize they can also be used for hair coloring (non permanent) too! Thanks for sharing! 😊❤
yesss!!! I do this routine once a month or when needed! It definitely helps with getting that hair together especially if you do some mini twists or brands after *chefs kiss* sometimes our hair needs a break and this is the perfect way to show some TLC to our hair when its brittle and dry
@@HappyHairCoilyCurls i’ve been thinking about this too i think it may be time for me to find a good hair salon to do it. I did the oil treatment and my hair still feels soft at my ends after 3 days but a trim must be done
Hi Beautiful, I just did a hot oil treatment video on my channel too. I use to love the olive oil when I had thick long hair it left my hair so nice and healthy. My favorite oil is the sweet almond oil. I will be picking up the root comb applicator bottle. This is a great video and thank you for sharing.
Do you do this every week and did you grow your hair mainly with wash n gos because I really want to grow my hair but I still want to wear it out.Online people say we can only retain length when our hair is in twist or plaits but did you grow yours with wash n gos or twist and plaits or both lol 😂
so I do this routine probably once a month! if you watch my natural hair journey video you will be able to see my journey (with pictures) as well as some tips for starting your natural hair journey! as far as tips for hair growth I have a few so I will add that to my list for video I need to make
There’s quite a few natural hair gurus who have grown their hair with wash n gos .You don’t have to jump on the wave of twists and plaits. My hair used to grow like crazy simply wearing a puff every day. It’s the maintenance of your hair that matters most ❤
Thanks for sharing; however, I wouldn’t use coconut oil for an hot oil treatment when I’m treating my scalp because coconut oil has a comedogenic rating of 4 which means it can clog your scalp. Therefore, if you want your hair to grow, you should use oils with a comedogenic rating of 0-2 for hair and scalp. You can Google the comedogenic rating for hair oils that won't clog your scalp. When I use coconut oil, it’s for my hair only.
That’s a great point, I’m always learning more about the science behind hair care so thanks for letting me know! 🫶🏽 I do want to say that this is a routine that has worked for my hair and scalp so feel free to change it up however you’d like whenever you do this routine but using coconut oil on my scalp hasn’t affected my scalp as I use a clarifying shampoo afterwards and in the video I do apply this treatment to my hair and not just the scalp➰
Hot Oil treatments will do the trick every time. Thanks for sharing Sis!!♥
@@HerGloryHairCare1 that’s what I’m saying!!! I love doing them🥰

Gorgeous hair 😍 also use the double boil method for your oils, the microwave causes them to lose nutrients ❤

You might need a trim. Your beds could be dry because you have too many split ends.

I like the As I Am oil. It's just that the smell is really strong if using it by itself.
I love as I am too!!! And I can lowkey agree with some of their products they are pretty fragrant
I have a question? What editing app do you use?
how often should i do this treatment?
I do this once every month or when needed! Sometimes once every two months just depends
