It's a fantastic knife. I'm very glad I got mine. Unfortunately that happens sometimes with case. I've never had a problem exchanging for another one. I'm glad Red Hills Cutlery has good customer service. I've been ordering a lot from him lately.

Great video! I too had to recently send a New Case XX back for Warranty repair that I received as a Christmas gift from my Brother-n-Law. It's with them now and is the first I've sent back to them which I suppose isn't bad considering how many I have of both newer and older models isn't to bad. I have sent a Buck Vangard fixed blade back in the mid 90s that the stick tang snapped under fairly light use. This return is one of the lager 3 7/8" Case Medium Stockman Yellow Synthetic in CS from Shepard Hills and was an online purchase. Yellow isn't my first choice handle material but it was the only option at the time in CS of that size. The issues with the knife was the back spring on Sheepsfoot blade layer being extremely weak with not only no snap but wouldn't even fully close the blade without pushing it in. When you did push it in the nail nick would disappear behind the Spay blade. I could actually close the Sheepsfoot with my pinky finger that has nerve damage from MS. And as you spoke about points and edges, this one was rounded up which is certainly not what you want on a sheepsfoot. I normally prefer the 2 layer backspring setup of the other sizes of stockman but asked them to actually replace the blade rather then just remove material from the center edge because it's a blade I use heavily and since they have to replace the center layer backspring (because this is the only size that uses 3 thinner springs supposedly to prevent blade rub, which it had due to obvious blade wobble) anyways. I told them while I have a large number of case knives I do not consider myself a collector because I use my knives and this one was intended as a daily driver. So far the return experience has been pleasant other then the fact that I did have to pay shipping. Hopefully it'll have a satisfactory conclusion.
On a non knife related topic, I wanted to ask about your classic pickup you can see on the video intro: It looks like an early 50s Chevy tho I can't tell which since I couldn't see the grill. I have a particular fondness for that body style with the grill design from the 54. My father has a 54 (reg as a 49 because we had to use VIN# plate from a 49 Chevy Dump truck we had) 5 window that we put up on a jacked up Blazer Fullsize 4x4 frame/under carriage. I love that truck, having fond memories of helping him rebuild it at a very young age and first starting to learn to drive it pulling a huge steal trailer through a hillside field while my Father and Grandfather(on Mothers side) loaded the Hay bails on it. Had to set on the edge of the bench seat reach the peddles because I was like 9 or 10 when I did.

Glad u enjoyed the video my friend...unfortunately, that pick up was basically a prop at a "Buckees" convenience store down here in the south. Their a massive convenience store chain that had clothing, food, obviously tons of gas pumps, etc. If your not familiar, try googling Buckees. But that pickup is just set up in the middle of the store and I found it to be a good photo opportunity. So that's the story of that pic!! And yes, I'm familiar with Buckees and their beaver mascot! While I've not personally been to one, I have several Southern and Texian friends that have spoken well of them.

Yesssirr, and thats half the problem...we as consumers have just accepted this lackluster qc and fit and finish from Case. If we all would have drawn a line on the sand years ago when it started it would have been addressed. Money and profit margin speaks volumes. As long as their bottom line isnt affected then nothing will even change going forward. Its a sad cycle honestly. The quality of knives from say the 70s to today's stuff coming off the line is night and day different. If enough folks completely stopped buying their product they would either fix the issues or go under as a company...ty for your feedback brother. Sorry this got me up on a soapbox!! Is this a mini or the old(ish) fullsize? I would love to get me some fullsize Copperlocks, but sadly Case seems to not make them any more.
This is a full-size. And they do still make them. The minis are a lot more prevalent, but these are still being made. Picked this one up from Red Hills Cutlery...ty for checking ✔️ it out my friend!! They are great knives...👍🏻🤝👊🙏💯🇺🇸🔪🔥
