Back then the orthodox have called themselves "catholicos". Even today, during reciting the Creed every sunday, you hear "catholicos" in greek churches. The word simply means "universal". In other languages you hear translations of that word. For instance, "sobornaya" in Russian, during reciting the Creed. This is what "catholicos" simply mean.

Ive never heard about Orthodox Church until i was 13. ive been listening Orthodox Chant for about 4 years now, how amazing is Orthodox Church. They still manage to preserved the Early Church Tradition. But i neve heard about Orthodox Church in Asia. Most Asia are influence by the Catholic and Anglican Church. i hope to see Orthodox Church in Asia.

Truly beautiful.
It appears to me that Russian music actually "moves" the soul!
Somehow, if you listen carefully and with wonder, you experience an extra ingredient, so to speak.
[ I heard about four or five people (monks) singing a day or two ago.
It was so connected to Heaven that a sort of "presence" seemed to appear in the air,) if you know what I mean.
However, although an amazing sound etc., and beautiful, I would rather encourage a more disciplined upwards float so to speak.I hope that you understand why I have observed true integrity in regards to referring to such vocal discipline.
