Andrea Benner I usually give props to Asa for just about everything, but being supportive I think should just be a given when it comes to your spouse or partner. I know it isn’t always, but it should be. I am proud of Priscilla for showing her experience in this, to help others by being so honest and open about her fears, concerns, not wanting her personality to change through the process, never wanting to be a burden on her family, the terror some have (genuine terror) walking into a Drs office. Those are not easy topics to just throw out to thousands upon thousands of strangers. Not many would show the ups and downs like she did. I’m in tears for you because of the comment you made in the beginning of the video. I’m an overweight almost 30 year old and I go to the gym regularly, I’m vegan, I do eat the occasional junk food but I try so hard and I just can’t lose the weight I need to. It’s hard teetering back and fourth on getting the weight loss surgery. You are very inspiring and uplifting the way you speak about all the options. I look forward to watching more of your journey videos. Thank you all for letting us into your family. I’ve learned so much more about....let’s say....current autism compared to when my brother was diagnosed and how you guys advocate for your daughter is what has drawn me into this channel and now with your courageous journey. Thank you guys for that.
I am not sure if you want some advice for post surgery. But I had a Gastric Bypass 7 years ago. Keep taking all of your vitamins (this will help with hair loss as well as your energy). Stick with eating healthy the rest of your life because you can gain your weight back after time. There are many Bariatric surgery support groups you can join to keep you on track. When you have lost your weight you are going to have extra skin that can be very mentally challenging. Exercising during your weight loss will help with that. After a while it will be come a lifestyle and not be work anymore. Keep up with it!

My husband got the VSG a little over 4 years ago and it has been a true game changer for our family. He has kept off 100 lbs, and still working on the last pesky 20 lbs he want to get rid of. One of the things that we have learned is that really greasy foods is something to really stay away from (especially in the first 6 months), it can cause you to throw up. Also being apart of a weight loss surgery support group is very key and great to be around others who have know how you feel and can be there for you in that way. This is an amazing tool and I am excited for you and your family :)
Lol, I had no idea if I had pain from surgery, I was screaming from the pain from where the gas settled. I am a migraine sufferer and get kidney stones (sometimes stuck) and the gas was worse, but you are coming out of surgery. But unlike my other two problems, gas pain was just a couple of hours. And no I don't get headaches or stones because of weight, I am currently 133 is not going lower no matter how much I try
When you were talking to Abigail before your surgery and explaining that you'll be back on friday... oh my goodness i cried so much. The love a mother has for her daughter. I want to be here as long as I can for mine too❤ love you Priscilla

I’m new to your channel, I have 2 kids on the spectrum and also had the sleeve done on Feb 22, 2018, so far I’ve lost 130 lbs and it’s the best decision I’ve ever done, not only for my kids but also for me because I’m the happiest I’ve been knowing I can be more active for them and can be healthier to be there for them in the future. Thank you for sharing your story! Best of luck on your journey!! ❤️❤️
I know this is off topic but at the end of last summer I quit smoking and I gave up soda, I haven't smoked or drank soda in 8 months. I also started walking 6.2 miles every weekend and 2 miles every week day. I am a single mom of three girls my youngest is asd, dmdd, and ADHD. my oldest is ADHD and my middle daughter is typical. Now back on topic I have prayed everyday Priscilla since you first mentioned you had surgery and I had the feeling that is the surgery you had done. I just didn't want to say anything because it wasn't my place to say anything. plus you said you'd talk about it when you was ready. thank you for sharing Priscilla. I did notice in the new videos you lost weight in your face. you know you didn't have to share this because it's your body, your choice and your personal life. I love you all so very much...I will continue to pray for you because even if you are healed you still need the support.💙❤
One of the best parts of the sleeve over the bypass is that they take out the part of your stomach that tells your brain that you're hungry. I NEVER feel hungry and that's the best! I cooked in restaurants for 25 years. I love giving food as a gift. Still can! It just helps you reduce how much goes into your mouth.
You got this girl. I am 58 and had it done last year. I have other medical conditions (nothing serious) and it was the best decision I have ever made. I did it for health reasons. I was in a bad place physically and mentally. I am in a much better place
I'm seeing it. Im a mom to 4 children. Youngest is 2. I suffered from addiction for 5 years. I've been clean almost a year. I made the decision to change my life bc I dont want to ruin my kids lives by dying before im 40 from a sickness I can fix. I've gained so much weight. I feel like my health is teetering... I dont want to die from addiction to drugs or food. Thank you for sharing your journey.
Having weight loss surgery for me was not getting skinny it was for me just living my life I don't regret it went from 319 to 150 feel much better feel alive
I just rewatched this for the billionth time because I am finally having my surgery in 4 weeks......and it's because of ya'll. My 19 yr old autistic granddaughter moved in with me last Nov and I need to be around for her as long as I can. I'v been on a pre surgery liquid only diet for the past 2 weeks and I am down about 15 lbs already. I love what you said about "it's only food". That's going to be my new Mantra. Thanks for being brave and making this video.
You guys are just the best. You have become my new favorite "show" and I think it's because you are just real and nice people. So many people are pulling for you guys. Go Priscilla!
This is quite literally one of the healthiest relationships I have ever seen. That exchange about what accommodations partners make for one another was felt completely and utterly honest and loving. I’m here for it! You go girl!
I am very over weight and have been with my second husband 33 years now not a word has ever came out of his mouth about my weight he is a gem and my king 👑 🥰🤗❤️
I had full bypass 17 years ago, (There was not an option for sleeve) and went from 400 to 250. Hovered there for a few years. A year ago I started keto and now at 140, unreal still. Went from 40 to 22 to now 12. Very unreal. The biggest advice I offer anyone is see a counselor. I did and made all the difference. Move out of emotional eating and being more self aware. I’m doing better at 67 than at 45. Congratulations dear, all the best for this new journey your on. And the hair loss thing, minoxidil, it’s help my hair to grow and come back from some loss. My personality is just happier and calmer. Sent you 2 photos on messenger
Thank you for your vulnerability. I've struggled with being overweight for a few years due to strong psych meds. It's been really hard. But seeing you still live a happy fulfilled life despite weight struggles... That's just so encouraging.
Priscilla had me laughing and crying with her. I'm thinking of doing the surgery myself so I understand the emotional aspect of this. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Cilla, I’ve been watching your family for a while now. I’ve been avoiding this vlog. I had gastric bypass surgery in 2010. I had my surgery with the sole purpose of being healthier. I lost 100lbs and still had many more lbs to go. I won’t lie...I’ve gained it all back. Watching you go through this is very ... i don’t know? It’s hard. It brings back lots memories. I’ve watched you and am so proud of how you made a lifestyle change. For yourself and your family. And you’ve stuck to it! You have a beautiful and supportive family. You are a loving, kind, thoughtful, smart, woman! You ARE living your BEST life! Keep it up!
Self image is so important. And so is health. Being obese myself, I appreciate you sharing your story and I’m glad to hear you are doing better. Abbie needs her Mama and I’m happy this is working out for you and your family so that you live longer, healthier lives! Love you all!
This was heartbreaking in the most uplifting way. I love the way you love yourselves, others, but mostly each other. You are a wonderfully beautiful person, Priscilla!
I know this is an older video… but I’m just starting the sleeve process. I have my upper endoscopy this week, aiming for surgery towards the end of April beginning of may. Following your journey and watching you process through the fear and anxiety has brought me so much comfort and made me feel so much less alone. Thank you for bringing us along through this journey!
So glad you are sharing this. Congrats for doing this to get healthier. Please take care and don't go that long again without having a medical checkup.
My ex-wife had the sleeve 2 years ago she lost 160lbs and she had a big personality change its normal your outlook on life will change and your relationship dynamics will change for us it ended our marriage but it’s not the only reason we split. the important thing is she is healthy and able to care for our kids better now and we coparent better now than before I’m now going though the process of getting ready for the surgery next
You go girl i knew this might be the reason for a surgery been there and done it and also did it because of my severe autistic son. So proud of your decision. It will be a life changing and best of all to live longer in order to be in our family lifes. No so much hair loss for me but it grows back dont worry. Im here watching the video and writing without finishing the video blessing.

A) The post surgery gas is no joke.
B) Do exactly as the doctor says
C) You will never go to a buffet again. $$$
D) Way to go on the decision.
She absolutely went to a buffet again! 😢
Asa you are such a sweet, supportive husband!
When you were talking to Abigail before your surgery and explaining that you'll be back on friday... oh my goodness i cried so much. The love a mother has for her daughter. I want to be here as long as I can for mine too❤ love you Priscilla
You know for all the sacrifices you make for your children doing something that will benefit you and your health and that will make you happy is amazing and anyone who would have a problem with that have some problems within their self ❤️❤️
Whenever you’re sad Priscilla, my heart breaks. You seem like such a genuine, beautiful person regardless of any number on a scale. Thank you for sharing your journey. Sending love, support, and comfort lovely lady.
Priscilla, you’re the sweetest and seeing you sad at the beginning HURTS my heart!! Glad you’re taking charge however you please. You’re a strong woman. Love ya!
I had it done, your hair will grow back! I had it done 9 years ago and don’t regret it. I no longer am on blood pressure meds
So happy you shared this! ❤️ I’m glad you did this for you.
The truth of what no-one talks about, this is raw and true specially talking about going under; that is a large scare for anyone. I'm proud of you for taking charge of your life for a beter you.
I think this is the most honest video I have seen about bariatric surgery. Thank you so much for sharing because I have been contemplating this.
Thank you for sharing your rawness, your tears, your thoughts, your strengths and vulnerabilities. Thank you for being you: a beautiful woman who has always shined from within and is such an example in life.

Cilla is so brave to share this with us. It’s amazing how open you are about a sensitive topic
From one chunky girl to another: you are such an beautiful person! You do you girl!!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us!
Hi prlllll
Thank you for sharing Priscilla 🙂. You are inspiring and you help remind me that health is important.
Hey one word advice take measurements because there times you won’t see a huge weight loss but you will be losing inches
Rereeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrdrrurbu
I regret not taking measurement before my surgery!
"I'm gonna tell the doctor that I really need you" DO YOU HAVE MAKE ME CRY?
Having weight loss surgery for me was not getting skinny it was for me just living my life I don't regret it went from 319 to 150 feel much better feel alive
I love ur rare true beauty and honesty!!! I too am a Priscilla! 44 days and counting for My journey to begin !!
My gosh Cilla you & Asa are epic parents! Beautiful, kind and caring people.
Wishing you a quick and comfortable recovery.
You guys are just the best. You have become my new favorite "show" and I think it's because you are just real and nice people. So many people are pulling for you guys. Go Priscilla!
Hi Priscilla, thanks for sharing your weight loss journey. I'm having gastric sleeve surgery on 10th June 2019 and am feeling nervous and excited, x
How was it
How did it go?
This is quite literally one of the healthiest relationships I have ever seen. That exchange about what accommodations partners make for one another was felt completely and utterly honest and loving. I’m here for it! You go girl!
I am very over weight and have been with my second husband 33 years now not a word has ever came out of his mouth about my weight he is a gem and my king 👑 🥰🤗❤️
I haven’t watched the whole video but as soon as she said she’s comfortable with herself I immediately loved her even more. You are beautiful.
What a refreshing, genuine video. Your whole channel is a breath of fresh air. The way you love one another, the love you show & share in your marriage, and the love you hold for yourself, Priscilla, is absolutely inspiring. Thank you for sharing your real experience. You are so appreciated!

Y’all both make daily accommodations for your daughter. It’s not about what could & couldn’t be done in the past so let’s look into the future 🤷🏼♀️💋

Keep it up!
Thank you Cilla for feeling safe with us to share your journey. 💗

I love your honesty and candor. I have just begun my journey to a healthier me. I look forward to hearing about your progress.
I'm so so proud of you. I had gastric bypass 10 weeks ago! We've got this sister ❤

She didnt deserve her lose 🤗 congrats on taking the steps on begin a better you
Hi , how is your weight loss going ?
Awe... great story and outcome. I wish you all the best for your own sake and your childrens❤️🌅
Many men can't handle the new self-esteem she has. They see it as a threat, especially when they are overweight.

I'm watching someone's marriage set ablaze after the wife had the surgery. You can call it new found self esteem if you want.
This was so beautiful and humbling. You let all your walls down and showed us this. I love it. U got this Cilla!!!!! We love u.
I haven't been watching you guys for a long time but you have already made a huge impact on me. Priscilla...you are so relatable and I friggin love you! You are always so happy and always smiling. Congratulations on your weight loss... we will all be here with you throughout your journey.
Priscilla cried I cried. She makes a great point about the hair loss and personality. My friend had gastric bypass and left her husband of 20+ years.
I’m very thankful for sharing your experiences. You have a great support by having your husband.
Thank you for sharing your story. We are praying for your family!
Thank you for leaving in the part at 11mins, where you show your anxiety. It make me feel less alone in being worked up over seeing the Dr.
Thanks for sharing your story XX
I am 6 months post op bypass and I am so thankful I got the surgery, it saved my life...

You're amazing. Never give up on your health and you're happiness. I've never met a family who deserves more support then you guys. Such a beautiful family ♥️
Pricilla: “No filming me in my pajamas.”
Also Pricilla: allows Asa to film her in hospital scrubs
Oh Priscilla you made me cry. It's so good to have the support, regardless of the situation.
The love you share is priceless.
Wishing you all the best 💗💗💗
As a Clinical Therapist, I greatly appreciate her openness and honesty.
