The reason why he doesnt have better results is a lot of corrupted members of parliament, judges, politics leaders, businessmans and others, with their leader criminal man Milo Djukanovic. EU and NATO must give support to this man so he can win in this battle and make Montenegro clean, economic developed with strong justice.
Every country is corrupt to a certain point, corrupt people destroy millions of peoples lifes, all them should be senteced to prison for life and all their wealth should be invested back in the society and in honest workers
I am from Montenegro. And this is partially true. There is organized crime everywhere is. But Zdravko's government also swims in nepotism and Clerical waters where the Church enjoys all the benefits of a clerical government. They are getting into the schools where the kids will learn about Religious acts and Church builds their own hotels. On the other hand, Montenegro is a beautiful country with beautiful nature where people haven't lost sense of life like they do in the west. Filantrophy rules, we don't have hungry and homeless people on the streets. And above all country is perfectly safe for tourists. There are organized crimes but not low-level thugs where you get pickpocketed. We are not ideal, but neither is the west, with its history of colonialism, capitalism, and imperialism.
Corruption is almost every country in this world, and regular people are suffering tremendously, one percent is getting rich. I admire this prime minister’s honesty and courage to stand up against corruption, since it penetrate in the root of the society.
Funny how when Vice did this, some of the comments were decrying the Debt-Trap myth as being false. Now, look at what's happened. The Chinese left Montenegro with worthless concrete.
I don't understand that. How is it a trap? If you go to the bank and take a big loan but you give the bank even bigger guarantees or collaterals, you use that money to do something stupid so in the end you lose your money and whatever you put down as your collateral. Would anyone say that you were trapped by the bank? Or would people just say that you are stupid.
All ex yugo countries are like this, sadly Is common practice to get a state funded job(like building a highway) and companies apply but only companies who have friends in authorities get the job(most times illegaly)and they get overpaid for it(while most of the time they do a very poor job in order to cut costs, hence more money to put in their pockets) and when the job is done they pay their corrupt friends their cut and rest goes to them
4:20 So these gangs don't care about laws regarding concrete and cigarette businesses and they don't care about laws regarding building permits to construct casinos. BUT they do care about their money being laundered and beyond reproach. In a society that doesn't respect rule of law, does it really matter if your money is "clean" or not??
DW never misses an opportunity to attack China. The 41-kilometer section of the highway being built by the Chinese involves terrain that requires tunnels and bridges, as a consequence it is expensive and challenging engineering wise. No other country offered to build it. The contract allocated 70% of the work to China and 30% (or nearly $280 million of the $966 million contract) to domestic contractors. The Chinese finished their major civil works (viaducts and tunnels) in November and handed road surfacing and finishing to Monte Negron contractors. So complaints about the lack of Chinese workers are misleading and ironic considering in the early stages western media was complaining about too many Chinese workers. Then there is the critique about the construction being 2 years late when the world has been affected by a 2 year lockdown pandemic, that has delayed most construction projects.
The entire project was concluded to be unprofitable in two studies independent from each other before the start of construction in 2014. The project also violated environmental regulations, one of the main reasons why only the Chinese made a offer and the terms for the credit are also not fair and part of chinas debt trap diplomacy. Montenegro now risks loosing vital strategic infrastructure like the port of Adria if the EU or other partners don’t bail them out. The entire project was a mistake and the people of Montenegro will be the ones paying the price while the old government took the profit.
There is no country without corruption in this world. And this will never change as long the humans exist. Its in our nature. So kind sensless dokumentation

@DW Documentary Slobodan Milosevic had not been convicted of any crimes. I would advise you not to call him a war criminal. What you are doing is a clear case of Defamation of Character. (As for you claiming that he is, he can not be LEGALLY called that. If he is called lawsuits may be initiated against those who make such claims.)
It is quite fascinating that while, DW is correct about Chinese devastating influence, and connections of Montenegro president Đukanović with Serbian politicians such as former Serbian leader Slobodan Milošević, they don't care to mention Đukanović's connection with current Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić and his criminal organizatons. Why? Because Germany (and part of EU) supports Vučić and is pretty similary, with high credits, Serbian high subventions towards EU companies and devastating contracts (both ecologically and financially) along with other 'western' companies such as Rio Tinto - is wreaking similar havoc to Serbia. Such a hypocrisy and politically biased documentary.

In 1960's a famous Montenegrin Journalist once went to Bejing, China. At arrival he was asked to fill a form with his details, country of origin and total population of it. After the Chinese official looks at the filled form. He says "Sir, we are asking about the population of the Country you are from, not the Hotel you are staying in".
This video is not realistic! Because You didn’t mention that Serbian Orthodox Church doesn’t admit Montenegro like independent country. You didn’t tell people according this video what Serbian did to Montenegro before. So biased and unrealistic reportage!
Serbian Orthodox Church or a diocese of it, Metropolitanate of Montenegro and Littoral created Montenegro as a country, back in 16th century, end goal was unification with Serbia, it still is and it will always be until the end of days.
Where does a corrupt state end and organized crime start. In some cases, like in Montenegro, it would be better to let the crime syndicates rule the country. They have more authority and operate more transparently.
Krivokapic will have trouble changing things, he came to power on sentiments but lacks charisma and realolitik, visiting and inspecting areas may show him trying hard but if he cant do permanent changes quickly, PMship will remain barely effective. Sad but has played out many times previously in many countries. Wish him success and luck

Small counties have big control , and is difficult without economy growth to cancel this malfunction of governments , people differences is also big problem that makes more control necessary , some people are poor and some are very rich (where is middle class) so someone has on bank account 400€ and some others has 4 mil € ?! This is the contraversity , the solution is incorporating them in a big mechanism of Politic like eu and helping the middle class to grow in this countrys ! Only 0.01% should be “poor economy” not 20% like today the problem is high differences 400€-4 mil € bank accounts and the uncomplicated middle class (engineer teachers , doctors , good workers , experts ) this should be middle class with 40-60% of the population in middle class and not many differences Like today ! As well capital cities with perifery municipalities is also very notable in wages , life expectation , infrastructure etc etc etc ! The point is to have 3 “miracles” in this counties , -Connection and high infrastructure -Middle class support and poor class support (economy development) , high class of economy also benefits for some ways and a model like “fair economy” - Youth support (under 25) with 20K -30,000€ for every business with more than 5 employers and revenue of 5-7 years of investments , a program ! Public administration “merit based “ by diploma , experience , projects and abilities !
God bless Montenegro 🇲🇪

Sad to say Montenegro is just one of those so many countries who fell into Chinese DebtTrap
Funny how when Vice did this, some of the comments were decrying the Debt-Trap myth as being false. Now, look at what's happened. The Chinese left Montenegro with worthless concrete.
Do you imply there's debt traps better then chinese?
@@sampleentry5253 ok liar
lmao
I don't understand that. How is it a trap?
If you go to the bank and take a big loan but you give the bank even bigger guarantees or collaterals, you use that money to do something stupid so in the end you lose your money and whatever you put down as your collateral. Would anyone say that you were trapped by the bank? Or would people just say that you are stupid.
All ex yugo countries are like this, sadly
Is common practice to get a state funded job(like building a highway) and companies apply but only companies who have friends in authorities get the job(most times illegaly)and they get overpaid for it(while most of the time they do a very poor job in order to cut costs, hence more money to put in their pockets) and when the job is done they pay their corrupt friends their cut and rest goes to them
Is this a propaganda piece on the president?
Maybe lol
4:20 So these gangs don't care about laws regarding concrete and cigarette businesses and they don't care about laws regarding building permits to construct casinos. BUT they do care about their money being laundered and beyond reproach. In a society that doesn't respect rule of law, does it really matter if your money is "clean" or not??
They're laundering money for overseas spending, not domestic (e.g. buying real estate in other countries etc.)
Thus, corruption is truly everywhere.
If you did documentary on Bosnia corruption it would go for days.
So why do they loe about the Chinese workers being on lunch break?
DW is just imperialist Western propaganda.
@@GTA5Player1 My use of the word 'misleading' answers your question. The project has been politicized. And lies flow easily with politics.

These sort of videos just show that the west is ready to ‘let Djukanovic go’ as he’s ‘served his purpose’ by dividing the country

Sana all!😘😘😘
This video is not realistic!
He came with a far right party, and hasn't made corruption his priority, but rather national issues. He's stoked tensions and has done nothing for the economy, for the judiciary etc.
This movie is self promotion for this Krivokapić, best part is when superman catch alone gravel thiefs and you really think that is true? Only for cameras, and gravel thiefs are arrested from police before this movie and he is already former PM.

Only 0.01% should be “poor economy” not 20% like today the problem is high differences 400€-4 mil € bank accounts and the uncomplicated middle class (engineer teachers , doctors , good workers , experts ) this should be middle class with 40-60% of the population in middle class and not many differences
Like today !
As well capital cities with perifery municipalities is also very notable in wages , life expectation , infrastructure etc etc etc !
The point is to have 3 “miracles” in this counties ,
-Connection and high infrastructure
-Middle class support and poor class support (economy development) , high class of economy also benefits for some ways and a model like “fair economy”
- Youth support (under 25) with 20K
-30,000€ for every business with more than 5 employers and revenue of 5-7 years of investments , a program !
Public administration “merit based “ by diploma , experience , projects and abilities ! So with all this MonteNegro and ballkans will probably be a new Nordic block in wealth , climate , economy and fair life !
