For people who doesn't have option to see firmware version like me, you probably have older firmware version, I've installed V12 maps, works like a charm.
Everything just work perfect only one disappointing thing the small side roads doesn't appear on the map..like an example I leave in Germany in a village 5 km near a town and all the streets from my village are not shown on navigation and I mention with the original maps dvd V.7 I see those roads..I have rns 510 on Passat cc 2011.

@@Tips4IT vreau sa instalez hărțile de est și nu ma lasă, spune ceva de "Clamp mode", anterior instalasem hărțile de vest fără nici o problemă. Instalarea o făcusem cu card și cd.
Salut. Am si eu o problema. Am schimbat ceasurile, volan, calculator coloana+can cu q la final pe un b6 si imi face figuri navi rns 510. Nu mai vrea sa intre in standy. Se inchide de tot la simpla apasare. Cateodata nu vrea sa se deschida deloc daca nu are contactul pus. Inainte nu facea asta. La fel, cand iau contactul se inchide definitiv. Nu mai are optiunea standby unde arata si ceasul pe mijloc

It's because the navigation system only support's 1 version of maps, West or Est. If you want to use the West Europe maps, you will need to install the West Europe maps, and by doing so you will not be able to see the Est Europe maps anymore. That is what I've been told by the person who installed my new firmware & Est Europe map.

Bună! După cât timp după ce introduc DVD-ul apare bara de încărcare? La mine după 10 min tot interfața Navi a rămas. Mersi. Până acolo totul a mers perfect, DVD burn, install la navi, continue, etc. urmând să aștept 40-50 minute

Same here, the ”navigation data is being downloaded” is looping. Had the car install over night but when i start it next day it says to put in maps dvd. (West europe v.15 fyi)

Prima eroare mi a dat la verificare dupa ce am dat burn la disc. Nu mai stiu exact ce eroare. Si am zis totuși hai sa incerc sa bag dvd in navi sa vad poate merge si mi a dat eroare si eject la dvd

Sincer sa fiu nu stiu, dar daca ai versiunea de baza, adica cea care a fost instalata pe masina cand au vandut-o aia din reprezentanta este o posibilitate mare sa nu fie compatibila versiunea firmware-ului cu cea a hartilor si sa-ti faca probleme fie la instalare, fie dupa.

@@Danielitcu o fi dvd ul busit. Vezi ca e pe gpszone v17, poti inerca sa faci un alt dvd. Nu strica sa incerci. Daca face la fel, posibil sa ai ceva pe optic, si atunci as incerca un cd de curatare.
Salut, am incercat sa instalez versiunea V17 East Europe pe un RNS 810, am folosit DVD+R DL Verbatim si la 3/4 din progres o ia de la capat. Am scris imaginea folosind programe diferite si la viteze diferite dar tot asa face. Imaginea de la V17 are aproximativ 6.9 gb, ai incercat cumva sa o scri pe un DVD+R normal?
Tips 4 IT am tot vazut ca unora nu le merge varianta cu SD Card. Am sa incerc si varianta asta, ceea ce nu stiu daca odata cu dvd-ul pe care il face rns maps tool o sa se schimbe si versiunea de firmware a navigatiei. Nu stiu daca sunt compatibile cele de RNS510 cu RNS810.

@@Tips4IT Salut! Da, indifferent de cat de mult tin butonul de setup apasat nu imi apare butonul respectiv. Am incercat si combinatie de taste apasate si nimic, imi apare setare doar pentru AM si FM. Pressing the "Setup" button to show firmware info, it only shows me "Am and FM", also, after inserting the DVD to update maps, after clicking on "Install" and waiting for a few minutes it doesn't show up the screen for installation. Do I need to update the firmware to install these maps or ? I would appreciate some info, thanks.
@@Tips4IT I kept pressing for quite a while after AM/FM showed up. I followed your instructions and burned a DVD just like you with also Verbatim. I wonder how it doesn't get to the installation but reads DVD and asks me for Install. When I click on the Install button, I can hear DVD rotating inside and after 1-2 mins, DVD is no longer rotating. Do you maybe now for how long I need to press the setup button ? @@Goc91 around 20 secs.. btw, you you are burning the dvd from a laptop, might be the cause (i dont know why). i burned mine at my work on a pc :) and worked like a charm

Salut, am incercat si eu aceeasi metoda cu v.15 Europa de Vest, pe un DVD ISY scris la 1x. Incepe copierea, dureaza aprox o ora, apoi bara de progres incepe din nou. Din pacate hartile de pe HDD s-au sters si imi cere DVD-ul cu navigatia, daca bag dvd-ul navigatia merge in continuare si procesul ce copiere incepe si el in fundal. este posibil sa fie de la disc?
Tips 4IT după mai multe încercări și ore (în total 5 ore) copierea de pe DVD pe HDD s-a încheiat cu succes. Nu știu dacă viteza de copiere a fost foarte mică sau am avut noroc la ultima încercare
inca o intrebare, este posibil sa am si hartile pentru europa de vest si pentru europa de est in acelasi timp? sau se suprascriu? as vrea sa copiez si hartile din linkul de la tine pe HDD-ul navigatiei
nu poti sa ai ambele versiuni.. dar poti incerca altceva.. lasa pe cele de vest instalate si pe cele de est le tii pe dvd. cand bagi dvd-ul de obicei te intreaba daca vrei sa le instalezi sau doar sa folosesti dvd-ul .. si poti selecta sa folosesti hartile dp dvd :)

@@paulmuntean4052 salut, nu chiar. se foloseste aplicatia maps tool v2, se creaza niste fisiere aditionale, care le copiezi pe un CD. apoi bagi cd-ul si cardul SD si porneste instalarea

Slovakia is not Slovenia..Croatia is on balkan and Slovenia is between Croatia and Austria so it should be included.. We'll see when we load maps :) Thank you..
Where can I get maps for Central Europe, which includes the countries of Austria and Slovenia ? p.s. there is no need to have the key inserted during the installation.. Just power on the radio to avoid discharging the battery..
Yes, i downloaded the file from the link and burned it on DvD, then i installed it on the RNS510. I lost my old maps for east Europe, which were from 2008.
I have a problem with my GPS when I press the navigation button it says no GPS card so I think the data has whipped of it so I need to download it again, will this work on sd only or sd also?

salut, pentru 315 nu o sa mearga ce am postat eu aici (din cate stiu). dar da, iti trebuie ISO si sa-l scrii cum trebuie pe dvd

Am băgat dvd verbatim si nu mi a mers mi a dat eroare la verificare si nu mai poate fi sters, este al 3lea dvd pe care îl cumpăr. Ce trebuie facut.

Prima eroare mi a dat la verificare dupa ce am dat burn la disc. Nu mai stiu exact ce eroare. Si am zis totuși hai sa incerc sa bag dvd in navi sa vad poate merge si mi a dat eroare si eject la dvd

Salut! Vezi raspunsul meu de mai sus, pentru ca si eu am avut aceeasi problema si trebuie sa-i faci update si la firmware pentru a putea instala harta.
Ideea e ca imi e destul de incomod sa fac update.. asa daca as incerca esti sigur ca nu o sa mi mearga? Sa bag hartile pe versiunea asta mai veche?
Sincer sa fiu nu stiu, dar daca ai versiunea de baza, adica cea care a fost instalata pe masina cand au vandut-o aia din reprezentanta este o posibilitate mare sa nu fie compatibila versiunea firmware-ului cu cea a hartilor si sa-ti faca probleme fie la instalare, fie dupa.

Salut, am incercat sa instalez versiunea V17 East Europe pe un RNS 810, am folosit DVD+R DL Verbatim si la 3/4 din progres o ia de la capat. Am scris imaginea folosind programe diferite si la viteze diferite dar tot asa face. Imaginea de la V17 are aproximativ 6.9 gb, ai incercat cumva sa o scri pe un DVD+R normal?

Tips 4 IT am tot vazut ca unora nu le merge varianta cu SD Card. Am sa incerc si varianta asta, ceea ce nu stiu daca odata cu dvd-ul pe care il face rns maps tool o sa se schimbe si versiunea de firmware a navigatiei. Nu stiu daca sunt compatibile cele de RNS510 cu RNS810.

Pressing the "Setup" button to show firmware info, it only shows me "Am and FM", also, after inserting the DVD to update maps, after clicking on "Install" and waiting for a few minutes it doesn't show up the screen for installation. Do I need to update the firmware to install these maps or ? I would appreciate some info, thanks.
after am/fm shows, keep pressing, don.t interrupt. and check firmware. you can try another dvd, also use lowest writing speed
@@Tips4IT I kept pressing for quite a while after AM/FM showed up. I followed your instructions and burned a DVD just like you with also Verbatim. I wonder how it doesn't get to the installation but reads DVD and asks me for Install. When I click on the Install button, I can hear DVD rotating inside and after 1-2 mins, DVD is no longer rotating. Do you maybe now for how long I need to press the setup button ? @@Goc91 around 20 secs.. btw, you you are burning the dvd from a laptop, might be the cause (i dont know why). i burned mine at my work on a pc :) and worked like a charm

Salut, am incercat si eu aceeasi metoda cu v.15 Europa de Vest, pe un DVD ISY scris la 1x. Incepe copierea, dureaza aprox o ora, apoi bara de progres incepe din nou. Din pacate hartile de pe HDD s-au sters si imi cere DVD-ul cu navigatia, daca bag dvd-ul navigatia merge in continuare si procesul ce copiere incepe si el in fundal. este posibil sa fie de la disc?

Tips 4IT după mai multe încercări și ore (în total 5 ore) copierea de pe DVD pe HDD s-a încheiat cu succes. Nu știu dacă viteza de copiere a fost foarte mică sau am avut noroc la ultima încercare
eu le scriu la 1x.. nu am instalat niciodata cu un dvd double layer, m-am folosit de un sd card si cd. ma bucur ca ai reusit :)

Am descărcat de pe Filelist v13 Eastern/Western Europe și le-am scris pe dvd-uri Verbatim + DL cu imgBurn. Am dat cu 2x dar dvdul suporta de la 3x in sus. Le-am scris le-am băgat și nimic, nu le citește.
Am văzut că e o combinație de butoane înainte să bagi dvdul, e obligatoriu ? Eu am pus dvdul când eram în mers.

Yes, i downloaded the file from the link and burned it on DvD, then i installed it on the RNS510. I lost my old maps for east Europe, which were from 2008.
