      Thanks! Safety belt... hum. I wish that safety belt was like in the excavator, very quick to put. It's not easy at all to use. I shall look into that while I have all my teeth! Lol!

    Your engineering skills are amazing, the groomer looks amazing and no doubt works very well.

    Works great Joe. Thought maybe it would travel side to side depending on how much snow it collected on the front left or right of the groomer.
    And able to back it up. Neat.
    Have a great day.

    • @FromSteelToWood
      @FromSteelToWood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! Amazinly, it's not going to go sideways if that hits more snow on one side or the other. However, if the trails are sloped towards the side, it will drag it to the lower point.

    Hi Joe, wonderful mod to an already great design. I like the fact that you can back up with it too! Wow, that trail looks smoother than some sections of QC HWY 20 I've driven lol

    super. Quite a bit larger than the groomer I fabricated. I like the ability you have to raise the front. I would like to modify mine too. The shear pin is also a great idea.... because I did kiss my ATV windshield....lol. Still themost satisfying job on the woodlot. The trails have such a smooth ride in the winter

      @@RCAFpolarexpress don't worry about it Dave...it was a gentle kiss. My groomer hit a stump and came to a sudden stop, throwing me forward. Luckily I just touched the plastic windshield. no injuries but it could have been bad. Imodified my groomer decrease the likelihood of it happening again

    • @FromSteelToWood
      @FromSteelToWood  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The groomer is in fact a pallet racking, 2 "ladders" side by side. So it's 84 inches wide by 10 ft long (grooming base, excluding tongue). I do remember your love story with your windshield, so I did that shear bolt with that in mind... Thanks!

    Do you like the groomer or roller better? Does the groomer work in wet snow where the roller is not as good?

    • @FromSteelToWood
      @FromSteelToWood  ปีที่แล้ว

      Both have their specific utility. Roller to pack, especially the wet snow. Because it's hard to groom efficiently wet snow. Grooming wet snow compares to grading mud. And grooming powdery snow compares to grading sand. That is my own observation though. Rolling thick light snow is not as effective compared to deaerating the snow using the groomer. I also use the groomer to flatten the trails, so I can ride the side-by-side a good 15-20 mph with the log trailer. Thanks!
