Welcome to the lake, I am a local that fishes at balboa. I typically use small lures to catch my bass so like micro lures. Throw a Donkey rig out there this time of year. Last year around this time I caught a 6 on the Donkey and yeah. The bass are small but theres some big ones in there.
Lol it’s a travel rod…fits perfectly in my carry-on when I fly. That Curado is my beater reel too, caught a ton of fish with it. But yea, poor Curado I guess…
