Jimmy, great episode, uh, I worked for and on the Metrolink as a rent-a-cop, actually Post Cmdr at Taylor Yard and then roving Supervisor alorng the line all three subdivisions outta L.A. Man, that's crazy, we actually have functioning step lights on an HO scale locomotive straight from the factory! I personally don't run passenger trains, but that is so cool! Great review James!

Mine fell apart right out of the box. The class lights were also damaged upon arrival. Rapido Quality Control seemingly failing - plenty of guys reporting issues. I guess all manufacturers experience "problems", pobody's nerfect.

Rapido made an effort to acknowledge and fix the RS18 motor problem.. this one, they're hoping silence and time is enough to get rid of upset customers. Overpriced crap. I'll be putting $$$ elsewhere.

I'm kinda biased against this thing, because I'm from LA and I've always hated the newer Metrolink livery (liked the old one way more), but this seems like a gorgeous model. Now you just need a hodgepodge of Bi-Levels in the old livery and Hyundais in the new one to complete the look, I don't think I've ever seen a Metrolink train with fully matching rolling stock.

For me I take or leave it the livery It suppose to make Engine more visible (per metro) I do agree on the need for release of matching cars at a quicker rate. ( newer livery) and that gose for alot a railroads .

Metrolink has repainted some of the bombardier cars but there's like 4 of them. Also they mix the cars probably because they didn't have enough funding to replace all the old cars (cause america hates trains aparently) so they put the new safer cars at the ends.
