I won the compact big pit from you guys, can't wait to use them, just waiting for new rods to put them on. Can't wait to use them, really tidy looking bit of kit
@@darrenfox1879 if the rod is a decent test curve and 9-10 ft should be sound 👍 I’m going to do a review on them myself on my channel soon. So if you subscribe you’ll be sure to see it 👍
Good evening! I have a range of Nash Draft rods and reels. I have a problem with reels, or rather with winding line on them. Dips form above and below and the line lies unevenly on the spool. How can this problem be solved? I tried adding or removing washers under the spool, it did not help. Please let me know if you have a photo of the problem.
I'm looking for some big pit compact reels for my 9ft rods, Would've been nice to see the line lay after you retrieved the cast, they also look like not much from locked up to loose on the clutch🤔 and they sound so loud 🤔 maybe not these ones for me 😬
Hi CarpPology, i am curious, can you use big pit compact reel on 12ft rods, i think it will do its job still. My thought is putting it on Daiwa Vertice 12ft rod.
Ive used my dads old shakespieres when i started off and they were fine for months before i upgraded to a pair of shimanos. Bear in mind my dad bought the shakespieres for £20 each like 10 years ago lol. As i said i had no issues with them. These look proper though
Mitchell MX6 Fullrunner in 5000. Twice the price of these reels, but the best baitrunner/full runners I've ever used by a long way. The line lay is fantastic, they're near silent (unlike the Nash), sturdy and the fine control of the baitrunner at the back is an absolutely perfect level of control, even on rivers where you're trying to cater for varying ebb and flow.
Had these a few years now, carp over 25lb no issues at all. Super smooth, but have to shop around to get them at a sensible price - they're worth £100 each, but why pay it if you don't need to? th-cam.com/video/lu5lX9ebR9E/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=CARPologyTVCarpFishing
Had the 4000 size for week. The drag is awful, not enough adjustment, it's either locked up or really slack. It's shame as they are nice looking reels.
I've bought a pair of the 4000 free spool for barbel fishing - I like to have a bait runner/freespool reel just in case I need to move away or take my attention away from the rod tip for any amount of time - seen too many people lose rods in the blink of an eye to barbel lol. I also play fish off the clutch so want the clutch set at all times. The reels are very smooth and the clutch is great, but that freespool facility..... it's absolute dog shite!! It's very stiff with little adjustment and pulses - tightens and loosens as the spool rotates - like there's a stiff spot for each turn of the spool. They seem a good value reel for the money but I wouldn't buy them if you're after a decent freespool/bait runner style reel.
They’re early doors so a great review but nash have gone from Japanese to Chinese. I wouldn’t expect these to last long given recent nash purchases but time will tell.
My lad got two of these and the drag is s..t and that’s hard for me to say because I absolutely love my nash gear I have the ops reels and love them but I suppose for a budget reel you shouldn’t expect any different
Most Nash tackle is shite few decent end tackle bits and few decent luggage bits. apart from that there rods and reels are some of the worst on the market,
I doubt someone would put cheap dwarf reels on scope rods but dwarfs yes, I been using nash bp10s for 2 years and they are great for the price, £55, maybe these are replacing the bp range because they are same price, bps look better than these though
I use the Shimano DL4000 reels on my 6ft dwarfs, amazing reels

The Nash dwarf big pit compacts are amazing! I own 2 and they are well worth the the £60 👍

They look great but they were always going to be good it's a carpology "review". But it's always nice to see new products.

Anyone knoe how much the compact big pit weighs please?
Great review, would you say the 4000 would be good for Barbel fishing on rivers with 12lb mainlines? ATB MMMD
I’ve got the 4 I use it for both my carp fishing on stocked pools and barble fishing on wild rivers with 15lb mainline and does work great
What Baitrunner reels would u suggest for a Sonik 10ft rods

Very nice video. It helped a lot. Thanks!

oh thank you, just wanted to order them.
That's exactly why I dislike 'fast drag'. When playing fish, you want the fine adjustment, not the 'full on to full off in 1/4 turn'.

i've recently bought a nash freespool 6000 and i absolutely love it, managed to smash my PB twice with that reel in 2 weeks.
Did you catch the fish with the reel or on a hook?
@@raybriggs4529 lol, i meant i used that reel with 12lb line and snowman rig 😂

what about loud reeling and drag? thank you
Just brought 2 big pit compact for my Nash Dwarfs 9fts hope they are as good as you recommend
How are they?
@@roryduncan2131 Did you get them?
@@_.salamus.black._ no but I’ve been looking at the nash lr 6000 reel but I think I’ll just stick with my okuma carbonite
@@roryduncan2131 thank you
Got the Nash Dwarf 9ft rod what Baitrunner reel would u say to go for money ain't a issue when it comes to fishing ??
Still the MX6 fullrunners in 5000!
I've had 7000s on my Dwarfs and they're a tad oversized (IMO, it's all subjective) but the 5000 is perfect.
They’re early doors so a great review but nash have gone from Japanese to Chinese. I wouldn’t expect these to last long given recent nash purchases but time will tell.
Look really good reels for the money Luke worth a try but I am not a massive fan of fast drag Cheers

Just don't put nash bullet line on it's shocking worst line I've ever used.
What's wrong wi it
I've had both 12lb and 15lb both lines were coiling up to the point I had to keep cutting the line. Will never use it again. Shall stay with esp now

I guess they're made out of some plastic, great product review, okuma inceptions piss all over these
Thats amazing! i want to buy one of these reels and I cant, awesome!
