Wow, with all the DIY I’ve done in the past for years this has to be one of the top five best tips I’ve heard. Many thanks!

Thanks for the video! I don't think 8-32 means 8/32". I think it means 8 guage screw (which relates to diameter) and a thread count of 32 (32 threads per inch).

Thank you for this! I have had wire strippers for eons and was today years old when I learned they could do this as I desperately needed to cut down a bolt on a light fixture I was installing.

Sir I personally want to thank you. For years I’ve had this wire stripper and didn’t know it was also a bolt cutter 👍🏿

Just the video I needed because of the light fixture bracket using 2 screws that are too long so there is a gap between the ceiling and the light fixture. I sure wish the lighting company would quality check their work so that the customer doesn't have to put in unnecessary added work.

Thank you for this video! I had some bolts that came with some drawer pulls that were too long, and I had no idea how I was going to use them. Turns out I had these exact wire strippers. They worked perfectly! You saved me a trip to Lowe’s!

Now I know why so many of the light fixtures I’m installing in my new house have screws that are ridiculously too long! It’s meant to be a quick fix with a simple tool! Thank you for posting this!

Not to belabor a point, but these are machine screws, not true bolts.

I did this and got a shitty cut. The nut won’t go back on. I might as well have used bolt cutters, which never work.

That usually happens if you screw it in from the wrong side of the tool. Just sayin'
