I love Shalamar! My favorite song of their’s is Second Time Around off their album, Big Fun, which I have on vinyl and the whole thing is fire! Jody Watley and Jeffrey Daniel started on Soul Train as dancers and were fan favorites! They also had a romantic relationship! FYI: Jeffrey is rumored to have taught Michael Jackson the moonwalk! Howard Hewlett can sing like an Angel but can’t dance! Leon Sylvers was the producer and song writer not a band member! ❤️❤️ 1979 was near the end of Disco not pre- Disco!

It's technically considered post-disco, the height of disco being 1977 and somewhat into 1978. But having grown up in that era, I consider it disco--but better. Shalimar always adds that amazing funky vibe. I was 16 when this song came out and 40+ years later, I'm still dancing to it. Keep on rockin', man. Love your reactions.

Disco was 1977-1979. RB and Soul are not the same. Long playing RB is not the repetitive hook of disco. To White folks it is the same but naah.
