How can someone’s countries rule to protect its citizens be described by you as unfair?…let’s fix our countries, let’s be more angry at our leaders to build our countries rather than being angry at someone’s countries laws

This reply is tone deaf. Africans come and
Hold the economy up . They do the jobs English doesn’t want to do they pay taxes. Nigerians ate the most hard working and believe it or not this country still owes us reparations. Our ancestors helped built this country. The nurses carers cleaners. My god you can’t be this dense?

Nice video, Chidera and you look gorgeous. Regarding this issue, I think all Nigerian TH-camrs and bloggers domicile in UK, should at this point make videos backed by research elucidating and highlighting the benefits Nigerian immigrants have and are still contributing to the UK economy. Some of which you already mentioned in this video. This may require collaborations.
Also if one could request interview by TV stations to properly discuss the Nigerian immigrant experience. It probably a desired topic at the moment. My humble suggestion, thanks!

I saw a video of the Scottish government opposing this... They dont seem to agree with the home secretary...and the lady who spoke said this will affect their economy negatively bcos their schools depends hugely on international student fees , asking people to come study without dependents is indirectly asking them not come ...

    This is pure gem, Chidera
    Thanks for sharing
Quick question..My wife and child will be applying for visa about one month after I get my decision.
    1. Can I mention it on my application that I will be coming with them?
    2. Will I need to include proof of wedding/relationship in my own application
    3. The reason we are not all applying together is because we are awaiting their passport and funds and time is running out to continue waiting. If they are able to get their passport early enough, Can they start application while I am awaiting decision?
Note, my concern is because my initial POF will cover for only me and I don’t want NSF mail requesting for POF for the three of us.
    Thank you for your response

Well! I think they're just being silly, we are contributing a lot to the growth of this economy, plus the taxes we pay. They've not clamped down on the illegal immigration by the Europeans through the Mediterranean sea, if it were Nigerians trooping into the country illegally, the whole world would've heard it.
Just because we are doing the right thing and developing their economy, they feel they can ridicule our name, while calculating the percentage of Nigerians granted Visa, why didn't they calculate the amount of money we've brought into this country to help them pay all those on benefits and sorts.
This is so annoying because, every little thing they want to throw Nigeria under the bus as though we are not making any impact in the country at large. Silly Billy's😡

It wasn't because of him that they made the changes tho.
There had been speculations since last year because the home office noticed that student visas were used as a backdoor for migration for a long time.
Home Secretary even wanted to reduce post study to 6 months at one point. And they had been complaining about the number of dependent being brought into the country since.
What that guy did was wrong. But it wasn't because of him that all this happened.

Chidera, I just finished assessing my students and I came across your video on critical writing. I have this comment for you. Chidera ezigbo nwanne m, have you thought about applying for a lecturing job here in the UK? Some universities accept masters holders with relevant skills. You clearly have very strong skills needed for lecturing. Don't be worried if you have never held any official teaching position. The bootcamps and similar teaching platforms where you educate others are clear evidence of your competence and confidence to work as a lecturer. Get a UK consultant or coach to help you package your CV and supporting statement for one lecturing job position. Some charge £100 per hour but after helping you with one application, you can use their idea to continue with any other future lectureship applications. E ji ego acho ego na obodo ndi ocha. Otherwise, many of us will think we are not qualified or we are unable to articulate our relevant previous and current experiences, abilities and skills. You can also quickly complete some teaching qualifications to give you an extra edge. Ji sie ike❤
