This brings back so many memories for me. I was in the US for 9 years and had to leave to Nigeria within 60-150 days after I lost my job on a work permit. And I was not going to marry for the papers. So I summoned all the faith and trust I had in God, and I can tell you that everything worked out perfectly. I got married to my primary school classmate, traveled to Canada for my Masters, finished and got a manager job in a government organization. Now waiting for my PR process to be completed by God’s grace.
This was me in Spring of last year. Been applying for sponsorship jobs since 2021 January that I moved in as a student and every time UNFORTUNATELY 😢! My visa was to expire 31 May 2023 and as at 10th of May 2023, I didn’t know my left from my right. To even worsen it I had an academic setback that disqualified me from applying for the PSW which was the only option left. I became depressed 😔! Developed eating disorders ,put on a lot of weight and everyone who saw me thought I was healthy and doing alright without knowing what was going on with me. But on the 27th of same month, Chai 😢 God! I got a call from one of the numerous interviews I had in the past and that call changed my story! Now I’m relaxed in my good Skilled Worker job with long term stability. Worked on my shape and eating disorder and now back to my normal old self again. Abroad life especially when you are single no be joke ohhh. It’s always ONLY YOU,YOUR GOD and your Struggles . Chidera was right! IT DOES GET BETTER WITH TIME! Never stop believing! ❤❤
Man!!! Life is not that serious ooo. If you are going back to Nigeria because your visa is expired, don’t break down. Let God be God!! I know it is easier said than done.. Cheer up and come up with plan B. I always say this, it mustn’t be the UK. If not for anything, the UK is living on past glory. Core brits are leaving and we Africans are crying because of what??? A stay! Phewwww
Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us. What a timely video. I'm very happy for you sister. Your name came through for you - Chidere indeed. Congratulations once more.
Hiiii Chidera, I must first say that I am so happy and super proud of you. I remember I followed your journey back then and I just can’t imagine how you were able to pull through that season, you have always been an inspiration and I know GOD is set to do a lot through you. Thank you so much for sharing this video and for being a blessing to so many people out there.❤️
Sending everyone going through this phase strength! 🤗 Like CP said, you will get through it.. Don’t wait until time is about to run out to pivot.. Apply violently try not to internalize the unfortunately!! No gree!!!!!!
You are one of the realest persons I have known… The video came at the nick of time. Thanks a million for sharing your experience with us and encouraging us.❤
This is me right now… God if not for me, for the sake of my kids do it for me 😢, my mental health has been deteriorating, with the constant unfortunately emails from job rejections. It is well. .
OMG, just looking at u now and then... I remember that video as watched it and many others. It's such blessing to see your progress and to see how God has kept u through it all... Keep the videos coming, love the story!!! ❤❤❤
When i was applying for the care worker role, i applied to over 400 jobs, a couple weee successful but I got my share of eejections that got me massively depressed. It was so tiring
I like to ask this question please, at what time did you know you could come back to UK on his visa? 2. How did you feel when you knew and was it that time you put your all in the relationship? Thank you
Very encouraging.thanx Chi. Can you also please make a video on how you started your TH-cam channel, how to monetize your TH-cam and the ups and downs involved. Thank you
@user-yn1cz5sf8j . Staying in Uk as an illegal immigrant is not a good idea. Go back to Nigeria and find an alternative country to go to, if Nigeria is not for you . But remember as you get older, the more difficult it gets.
This was my life Jan 30th 2024where my leave to remain expired as a student. And I couldn’t apply for a PSW. My mental health was at -100. Go back to Nigeria? When I came here for greener pastures? Where do I start from when I get to Nigeria? That’s why I believe when you are in the uk, you need to be up to date with information and immigration advice.
I remember your journey..I was in naija then but I've been in uk now since 2022. The journey has not been easy but it gets better with time. I also love the fact that your hubby didn't reveal his status to you then..guess he wants to be sure of you
First here ❤
I remember vividly
