Michael Bolton saw this performance and called it "virtuoso performance" and invited her to his concert in Korea for a duet. and they sung "prayer" & "lean on me"
PS. This stage was won the 'Best TV show award' at the Banff International Media Festival.
Sohyang went beyond the realm of humans and approached the ranks of gods!!
Sohyang can sing Whitney, Sohyang can sing Mariah, Sohyang can sing Celine Deon, She can sing Ella Fitzgerald and Jazz (Misty), Sohyang can Rap (Day Day). How many of the artists that she is covering could do the same. None of them ever have so I guess the answer is none. There simply isn't another performer like her. There are great voices and great artists but there is only one Sohyang.

Gotta give you major props for continuing to return to Sohyang. Also, this performance alone won a Banff World Music Award for this show.

There's another version of this from last year, 7 years after this, where she sings this song again, but even goes a little bit higher in a couple of parts, and it was great to see that because despite all of the health related issues that she's had over the years, she can continue to persevere and deliver great performances.

Such an uplifting performance. The arrangement is a masterpiece (she does her own), the vocals are insane (as usual). Michael Bolton called her a "virtuoso" after this performance and invited her to go on tour with him in South Korea. I'm really happy you are enjoying your journey with Sohyang. Keep going because there are so many more mind blowing performances.

Kim So Hyang has always struggled with her health during her lifetime with those many illnesses..

She just got out of Hospital and was advised Not to sing...So she did THIS....lol < >But it did Put Her back in the Hospital for a week
On an Interview Her Doctor &She Both Feared That this would End Her Singing Career ( But Lord Did Not see it That way...TG )
It's really a miracle this one of the most skilled vocalist of all time could be in such poor condition. And definitely she is much
more than great technician and has Perfect Control of Her Gift...and Her singing is so special.
If there should be only one word to define her music, that must be love. She always talks about
love and embodies it singing a song. Love is what she's all about. And, in her love, there is no
place for judging and pushing.
So we only have to listen and enjoy her blessing of love without any pressure. I hope all of you
guys will get through your own nights with her comfort.
Don't be fooled by the thought that there's no more room for improvement in her vocals.
It seems against the course of nature, but her development is ongoing🙂 At 45yrs old
still Very relevant and Her Breathing control is Perfectly along with Tone & Clarity
