Girl, mine was off level too, all the years I had it. We still got wet and still had fun, so it was all good. My grandkids just called one side “the deep end.” I think they thought it was supposed to be that way. 😂
Thank you so much and wishing you all the luck with that, but no solid advice from me ha ha. I hope it’s not too hot where you’re at. This is a rough time to be digging! Please do let me know how it comes out, take your time on the set up. Make sure the legs aren’t going to sink. Use some pavers under the legs, but make sure the pavers don’t poke into the pool when you’re filling up. OK I’ve said my peace. I’m sure you already know all that.
@@HappyFarmsLa I live in northern Indiana near the University of Notre Dame. Weather is always all over the place. Hot and humid then cloudy and rainy all in the same day! Temp swings from 75 to 95 through the week. Removing sod from a 16 foot diameter very slowly with a shovel because I have metal in my spine. I should rent a machine but I'm tricking myself into thinking it's exercise! Luckily all the materials (except for the bigger sand filter pumps) have been on sale this week. I'm hoping pool pumps will be in the Amazon Prime day sale!
Hey pool friend. Nice, That is good to hear. It’s be nice to have it perfectly level but after all we have been through I’m super stoked on how sturdy it is set up this season.
So I bought a brand new still in the box Intex 20x52” pool. Prepared the ground, set it up, filled it about 1/2 way up to fine the seem was leaking. Do I patch it since it’s NEW or do I call Intex and DEMAND a new one?
Hi hope y'all are doing well, was wondering if youset this pool up every year...have you ever considered putting in a concrete foundation and building a really cool raised deck half way arround the pool? At least that's what I definitely considered to do. Just a thought, enjoy your summer.😊
sure, can you loan me 6k? hahah. we are stoked on it the way it is, but a deck would be nice! I think if we did a deck it would be with a more permanent pool. Have a cool summer!
@@HappyFarmsLa No on the 6k, but if I were your neighbor I'd do the work, and only charge the cost of the materials and pump. And charge ya a couple of beers and BBQ...😉
We have had ours up for 3 days and I can’t stop thinking about it. I’m constantly going outside to look at it and stress myself out more deciding to take it down and redo it. Idk if I’m overthinking and overreacting 😫 one side goes up to top of liner and the other side is about 3 inches off.
Oh yes, I totally understand your feelings in my opinion 3 inches isn’t going to put an exceptional amount of stress on your polls. Therefore, it shouldn’t damage your pool in any way, it is so frustrating because I am sure you were so hard and when it doesn’t come out perfect it hurts! If it were me, I would just wait until next season and fix it then it’s so hot out at least where I am there’s no way even if we did it in the morning that I could do such a thing like re-level of pool right now!
@@HappyFarmsLa I read so much about how it shouldn’t be more than an inch and a half off and how 3 inches is pushing it. On the other hand I see so many videos where they have drained it, level it again, and fill it back up all for it to still be off level! Your video calms my nervous just a little bit lol there’s always that chance. It was a last minute buy so I’m late in the season for sure. Hopefully it gets us through this summer and I will be sure to try harder next summer
@@caitiemarie it is very hard to get the ground level. This is our fifth season the first season we were 5 inches off lol which is really terrible and we didn’t drain it.! For us everything seemed level and we even used a 2 x 4 and a level to try to see- we can’t dig down anymore on our high side because there’s a metal pipe so next time I may try to fill on the low side with dirt but honestly I’m happy with it like it is!
I don’t even care how it looks aesthetically. I definitely see the difference but I’m picky and ocd and get anxious whenever anything isn’t right. It wasn’t until of course tiktok and everything else knows your life. It knew when I put the pool up and immediately started showing videos that I needed to level mine 😅 as long as it gets the job done, the kids have fun and I can float, relax, and tan allll without blowing out I’m happy 😂
Mine is about an inch off level that doesn't bother me, what scares me is how much the pool moves when the kids get jumping around in it! I know it's supposed to have some give but it still scares me!
That style of pool is ok to be off level. But above ground pools have a steel wall that only sets in the track 3/4 " Thats why we use a transit to get it level. If the wall comes outta of track you could have a blow out with rowdy kids.
yours is 5" off level? I have been there, it's not good. we survived it but the pool eventually had damage from water running over one side everytime we swam, it rusted and 5" can be dangerous.. just telling you what everyone told me. Happy swimming though!
It’s a vevor one horsepower! At first, I was skeptical and thought I would miss my contacts, but it really does have a lot of power and so far things are going great. The link should be in the description box of this video if not, just click on my channel and any of my other pool videos recently will have a link for it.
Thank you for preventing me from having a nervous breakdown today because I can't get the damn thing level, still 2" off. Appreciate you!!
2" is factory approved!! good job!! thank you!!
So you have a deep end and a shallow end! 😂That’s the way mine is too!
Haha yes!
How off level and what size was it?
Girl, mine was off level too, all the years I had it. We still got wet and still had fun, so it was all good. My grandkids just called one side “the deep end.” I think they thought it was supposed to be that way. 😂
Awe I love that!! Thank you Pam!
yep. mine is also 3 inches off. it's fine. aesthetically annoying, but fine.
exactly, happy swimming!
Randomly found your pool content. It gave me some courage to get my first pool! Currently digging up my yard to level it!

That's awesome! How did it go??
You can always add sand if you can't dig. Nice job on your pool.
it works, reminds me of swimming in a lake but no sudden drop off
Ours is the same and we're on our 2nd season with it. We've had no issues so far. Ours is a Summer Waves 20ft by 48 inch metal framed pool.
Hey pool friend. Nice, That is good to hear. It’s be nice to have it perfectly level but after all we have been through I’m super stoked on how sturdy it is set up this season.
Same here but it’s nothing crazy and ain’t nobody letting all that water out no 12x24 pool 😂
You are right! And mine is 20x48 so no ways
We had a round pool and it didn't matter. This long rectangle pool, it matters
Mine is about 3.5-4 inches difference. Trying not to freak out. Well just be really gentle
sounds like you will be ok, bummer though, I know your pain! mine was 5" off the first season so you are doing better than me!

I would call Intex.

My intex is off about a good 3 inches. Looks weird but its wet cool and I don't care.
Mine it the same I think of it as a deep end and shallow end lol
Yes! Do handstands in the deep end!
Thanks for watching, sub for more pool videos.
Lmao 😂
I set it up by myself (12x20) it is less than 1/4 inch and I just eyeballed it!
Wow you got lucky to have a level yard! I’m happy for you though!!
Wow! Good job! 😮
Yep me too!
You cheated and used your patio slab .😅

It's normal, even the creaking used to scare me- but we have had ours way off level and it was dangerous then! it sucks we can't fill all the way

cool thanks for commenting!
Mine was off by an 1" and I had to fix it, it was bothering me so much lol
i understand, cause you can't fill it all the way up
My pool wasn't level as well. I just added top soil to get it as close as possible.
Nice! Good job!
May I ask what size pool?
20 foot round, 48 inches deep
Please the name of your pool i cant find dough boy i guess out of business
It looks like an intex or bestway, pool. Judging by the liner, I'd guess intex. I'm not 100% tho
Mines been that way
its all good!
Pool is a pool, you got a pool, fuck the leveling lol jk, but yea looks good, gj
