I purchased a bobcat after the takeuchi and am i sorry no! i plan the keep the machine until it will give up the ghost on me. I look after whatever equipment i purchase. i do not change my machinery i keep them until the end.
The buckets you get supplied are too small for this machine, you get the 3/4 ton. The bucket I am using is a 1.5t jcb and it copes with the weight no problem.
I had a Takeuchi tb 108 and when the 210r came out i had the opportunity to purchase a new machine and chose the 210r, purely because of how good my 108 had been and the increase in dig capabilities. I was gutted that the one i had gave me nothing but trouble. I wanted a new machine but Takeuchi said they would only swap it with a demo machine that had similar hours on it. I refused so they gave me my money back. I now have a bobcat e10 and love it, same weight but 10cm less on reach but 5cm narrower. warranty for takeuchi was 2 years on the engine and 1 year on the hydraulics, Bobcat was 3 years on everything. If you deal with Takeuchi main dealers in Wales you will pay a lot more and the dealers in England will not deal with you. I used Bobcat of London and received a great deal and i am very happy with the excavator.
I had nothing but trouble with this machine, it was taken back to Takeuchi because the dealer could not find what was wrong with it. It was returned with leaks, very disappointed. I have had a full refund from CBL ltd. If anyone from Wales is thinking of going to J Davies in pencader Carmarthen you will pay £1600 more than if you buy from England. This cost increases as the machines get bigger.

I bought a Tak 210, and i'm very happy with it. I dont know about the other brands but the tak 210 is a good machine.

So would I be better sticking with yanmar? I was thinking of changing my b08 for a tak 210

It is doing what it was made to do and that is dig, the ground is soft so where is the problem!
