What year Tiguan is this? 2011 axle bolt is completely rusted to a cone-like shape.... almost no visible splines or socket grooves. How is this best removed? I was thinking of removing the entire hub assembly with attached rotor & replace it all, but that's expensive. Any help is appreciated!! 😂😢
@@RyanEhli-MusicAndGuitar hey there! This tiguan is a 2009 Sad to hear about your bolt situation. I think the fastest and easiest way is to use a drill or a dremel tool to cut the bolt head off. Then you can get to the threaded part with some locking pliers or visegrips. Hope this helps, Work safe, Good luck!👍🏻
Hi.. Can a faulty or on the way out cv joint or drive shaft cause vibration/shaking on the streeing wheel whiles driving above 40mph please. (vw tiguan 2015)
thanks for the great job demonstrating the real job! Mine is already giving out clicking sound at turning. But I wonder if it is really necessary to replace the CV joint or it is enough just to clean up and re-grease. what's your advice?
I recommend you replace it, that click is the sound of the bearing balls moving from side to side, up and down, around inside the joint due to poor lubrication, wich leads to the joint grinding away metal and creating a bigger space in the tracs wich the balls moves around in as you drive. Thanks for you'r question and good luck with you'r car!👍
I’ll replace mine this week. It seems you had a bit difficulty putting the axle back into wheel hub. Did you have to detach the lower control arm to get it back in? A wheel alignment could be avoided if I don’t have to touch the control arms. Thank you!
Thank you for you'r question I'm not sure what size those clamps i secured the CV-boot with are unfortunately Thank you for watshing my video, i really appreciate it!😎👍🏼

Hi. In my experience, yes it can. And the vibration/shaking is in some cases violent (like a death wobble)
Sont you need to replace the retaining ring on the end of the shaft?
