I just bought a zero pump for £17 and a Flextail mummy for £51 from Ali. I think I did well, as they both arrived within a week, weren't damaged, and the zero pump inflated and deflated the pad in no time to a decent pressure. I'm very impressed. I'm 5'11" but imagine it wouldn't be of much comfort for anyone over 6ft.
Yeah I’m 5’10” and agree with you but they are extremely good mats. I choose this one over my Thermarest all the time now. Ali ain’t such a bad place. Just got to pick the right sellers. 🤘🏻
I got the same deal for the mat and expect it to arrive this week. I was a bit wary since Ali was so much cheaper but I've had good results from them before. We'll see, but your report is encouraging! Wish I'd found the zero pump at £17 tho' - I have the original tiny pump but I find the connectors keep falling off! 😞 The zero looks like it fits more securely.
@alangauld6079 always good to do the research and shop around I get so hissed off with uk stores robbing the hell out of us. Bloody inflated prices are killing off the hobby.
@@alangauld6079 I bought direct from Flextail's store for both items. The first pad I bought failed on it's first outing, as one of the baffle's bonding broke loose. I was gutted and had to cut my solo wild camp short. Needless to say, Flextail refunded me with no issues, then I hesitantly purchased another, which has been great so far. I searched extensively for other pad failures but couldn't find a single one, so I'm guessing I was the first (at least report it). Aliexpress is fine, and way better than Ebay providing you check 1. who's selling, 2. whether Ali will guarantee a refund and of course 3. ALWAYS check the reviews. Flextail have an office in Birmingham, where they accept returns. I recently paid £39 for a mummy pad, as back-up/spare.
🤔you just made me check on that. Maybe he brought the mummy because it was £20 cheaper and did he show the regular 🧐 only honest reviews from myself I love the mat and would take it over my Thermarest Neo air although it does have a bigger size when it is packed up. Check out our 3 day treck on the Cotswold way this was our test of the mat over 3 nights.
@@escapeoutdoors. yeah it’s a little cheaper but a great alternative to a Thermorest or S to S…tbh the Thermorests are never worth the premium..I’m gonna buy the mummy version think it packs that bit smaller.. oh he did say it slid about a bit in the tent.
@alastairjones7359 woooo don’t bother with importing like I did try finding them in the UK I imported the Durston P1 & the P2 it cost me just in import fees & taxes £180 really not worth it and in my opinion I would go for seirra designs these were the OG of this type of tent and after trying both tents out yeah there ok for hiking but I would still go for the Lanshan 1/2.

Think Messner preferred the mummy over the regular…said it was comfier for him…I’m sure he took it on the WHW

Oh another thing would you recommend the durston? I’m gonna plump for the 1 solid…is the tax a lot when shipping?
@@R33ADJ yes I do agree with that if your tent is not on the flat then you will slide but on a flat it’s perfect 👌
