My uncle was Grade3 driver in Rawalpindi division . I travled with him in 1995 to Quetta. I also sat in World Class ALCO locomotive from Abi Gum to Coalpur. Half journey in front and half in buncker. Allaha bless my Balochistan. Lot of live from California, United States of America❤❤
What a great documentary! I’ve been a subscriber to your channel for awhile now and this video takes it to another level….such great shots and fine editing telling a real human story. I really appreciate the English subtitles too, they’re not perfect but they do communicate sufficiently well for us non Urdu speakers to understand everything. Very tough duty but again the rail service has been suspended for undefinate period how unfortunate are we after 120 yrs with such a huge security apparatus we are unable to ensure the security of the Quetta section railway track how did the British engineers and officers ensure the security and safety of the whole system

The important position of guard is, what may have been years ago, by the USA positions of Brakeman and Conductor, who occupied the rear carriage/car called the caboose. Just curious, how are train operations conducted? Any form or centralized remote-control signaling and track switching, similar to American CTC (Centralized Traffic Control)? Thank you.

Except for a few changes - diesel loco Chinese / American, coaches bult in Rawalpindi, walkie talkie etc, everything is the same as the day British left India. Even the paper work, bureaucracy, titles such as Shed Man, the semaphore signal, neil token ball, Paper Authority to Proceed etc Pakistan Railway seems to be a case of frozen in time, time machine going back 70 years. Causes seem to be under investment in Railways, where military spending seems to have taken higher priority at the cost of development or infrastructure such as Railways and religion is more important than anything else in Pakistan. Let us hope the assets of over 75 years are maintained well but PR needs more than just PR (Public Relations) - technological upgrade and investments, with political vision, will to improve, social stability and a Military that will let it happen, without hogging everything.
U are right railway need to make it fence like India they put fence both side of the track so nobody can reach the railway engine and both of them railway and as well as people can save any incident

Pak railway abhi bhi outdated system use kar rahi hain. Sab kuch manual system hain.Indian railways inse hazar guna aage hain . Proud to be Indian
