the algorithm blessed me with this one especially considering the fact that i’m ordering the wooting soon. i might even go for the magnetic jade switches too. thank you 🙏🏾
that is a whole lotta difference. It will never sound as good as a good custom keyboard. But you did a damn good job. Very cool to see a esports performance keyboard getting soundoptimized like this. Would love to mod my speed silver switches (my performance keyboard) now.
By far the best sounding HE keyboard The mushy shift though is likely due to overlubing the stem of the stabilizer, I made the same mistake on my drunkdeer a75 when lubing it (in fact I overlubed all the switches XD)
This is literally the best mod with the best sound I've ever seen, the sound is very similar to my built which all components were from the Wooting store except I didn't use tape and switch foams. I like when your mom comes in and says "oh you're recording", very typical Asian moms haha
haven't gotten around to modding mine yet lmao its been sitting stock for the past few months, this lowkey inspired me to start lol, oh and i like ur music taste.
Hey, could you do a tutorial for these mods? I couldnt see from that far away what you were lubing, what the pads were and what the tape mod does. All i know that i sounds very good :)

Check out Woque Studio's "3.1 Black Glitter" stabs, they're decent outta the box but awesome after some modding - the selling point being? They have built-in "Holee" mod, semi thick red rubber inserts for the wire
One thing people don't understand is that the Wooting 60HE is definitely not made to be the best sounding keyboard. It's literally made for gaming performance. Yeah it may not sound the best but it's one of if not the best gaming keyboard available right now. I consider myself an extremely competitive player and I would trade performance over quality/sound any day. Hopefully one day we can have the best of both worlds.
With the new 60he+ module adding screw in stabs and pairing with some aftermarket HE switches and a case you can honestly do both now. My wooting sounds super marbley and poppy with the WS dashes. The main sound problem was the terrible plate tolerances for the stabs and switches, as well as the lekkers being open bottom leaving them sounding empty and soulless.
@@ridiak3637 yeah I have the 60HE+ as well. Without any aftermarket parts I fuckin loved the sound straight out the box. Granted I bought the lube kit and 45g Lekker switches so it's sounds a bit different, but straight out of the box no mods it sounded amazing. Truly pioneers of the keyboard industry.
Unfortunately controllers to this day still use potentiometers and not Hall effect sensors. The only similar application I know where hall sensors are utilized is in radios for drones where the precision should be more accurate than in that of an xbox or a ps4/5 etc controllers.
I don’t mean to be rude when I say this but I think a burger mount and using the new gateron jade switches would sound much better than this. Not to mention the factory lube on those switches is pretty solid, so it would save a ton of time. Is there a reason you didn’t include either of those two mods or is it something that was overlooked? Thank you
You’re good! And very valid questions. I bought the parts and recorded this before gateron jade switches or any third party switches were available, so I was making do with the lekker switches. As for the burger mount, I was going to do it and just forgot 😭.

Does this mod make it seem quieter? I realllly want a silent wooting, thinking of using thin o-ring on keycaps and a mod like what you have done here with tape and foam and better case to help deaden all of the sound
Thank you! I used to stream on twitch ( twitch.tv/Wilyz ) and TH-cam but haven’t recently because of time and school 😭. might try it again sometime though!
