Worked there for 30 years. Just left last October. Although the park got a much needed face lift, it's not like it used to be. It was taken over by a different side of the family just before covid. Thats why the haunted house no longer uses the wrist bands from the park. The rides that are gone were taken by the other family no longer running the park. They just have the haunted house and the Inlet lodge hotel. It is the oldest family owned amusement park in the world. It has the oldest continuously run carousel in the U.S.
I am excited to watch . I worked there as an operator last year I can’t wait to come back in August 🤗 by the way my favorite ride is spinning coaster I loved operate there
my boyfriend works for wood entertainment which brings up a bunch of rides to trimpers for the summer (this is their fourth year now!) and yep, trimpers was where i met him the summer before last! i love it there, i got a season pass for there for christmas for the third year in a row!!! i was there almost every day last year, you really get quite the deal with the season pass. the whole staff there practically knows me at this point.
I'll never forget my one trip to OCMD when I was in my early teens. We were staying at Mr. Powells bed and breakfast right across from the OCMD police station. Mr. Powell had a brother that stopped by to chat with him while we were sitting on the beautiful front porch rocking in the chairs. Mr. Powells brother had a dog and we went down closer to pet it. As we were doing that people were walking by us saying hi Mr. Mayor. We looked up and asked what did the call you and Mr. Powells brother said why I'm the mayor of OCMD. We couldn't believe it. We told him how much we love visiting OCMD and we come down every summer. Well he reached into his pockets and pulled out free ride passes to ride any ride in OCMD. We couldn't believe it! We thanked him and he said go enjoy OCMD! We'd show our pass to the ride operators and they were like where'd you get a pass like that and we said we met the mayor. The one operator said I've been working in OCMD for 30 years and never met the mayor. It was a very memorable experience in OCMD! Thanks for sharing this video. It brought back memories and I see some new rides that I've never been on before and some of the older original ones that have been there forever and I have been on them and love them. Thanks!
There are two care a sells inside of trippers and most of those rides go around in a circle like those cars and other vehicles do and there are two ferris wheel one is ferris wheel inside and one ferris wheel is out side.
My God, I remember riding those indoor rides as a kid with my cousin in the 1980s. I had no idea that they were still there

I loved the Titanic slide and noticed the cars on the Tidal Wave are now blue instead of the redish - orange
@Chris Beard the park did an entire remodeling during covid.

I know just about everything on Trimpers Haunted House I even painted a plastic skull in the Bill Tracy technique hanging inside.
That’s amazing!
It’s seriously underrated, Knoebels is good but not OC good
Great video
Could maybe you de a review of Funland on the board walk?
Great vid, Alex!
This park could use the modern vekoma vest restraint trains for tidal wave
I’d love to see it!
