I use in my PA Ultralight 95gr by weight 777 2F with a 300gr sst hornady bullet. I put one complete depression from my pan charger flask 4F down the barrel first and then the 777. Works every time in my flintlock.
I have installed plenty of mail sorting machines in major companies that sort mail. There is no special care that they take in care of any powders, primers. Just a way so they can get more money out of your wallet. They sort on machines and conveyors that everything else is sorted on.
So I have a traditions nitrofire muzzleloader which of course uses federal firesticks. Federal recommends using their Federal 209 muzzleloader primers but I can only find Federal 209A primers.... Am I likely to run into issues with using the 209A primers with the the firesticks?
That is a great question. We decided against talking about availability because we had covered it in a previous podcast and we wanted this podcast to be targeted at helping our community choose the ideal powder and primer combination for their needs.
It doesn't do any good to buy a new muzzle loader they are out of 209 blackthorn power and they have not had any 209 primers any where. I bought a new cva acc lr 7. Mouths ago and have not been able to sight it in for deer season. And wish I had not bought it because all companies are out and can't tell you when they are going to have anything back in stock It not good new gun but no 209 power and no primers it's a shame
Have you done HOME MADE BLACK POWDER yet? im curious about Granulation and Chemical Make Up. once i have a stable process and formula, how do i measure Compressed Burn Rate, and Chamber Pressure ? also Homemade Primers? good or not so much? 🤔🤔😆😆😆😆

Wish we could fine cci 209 primers because we would love to go out and shoot hour blackprower rifle in for next year to hunt
Found some here yesterday, only took two packs 209a
I'm a Flintlock guy and barely ever use 4FFFF in my pan. I don't use 1F little too chunky but 3&2F works. IMHO

I got federal premium no.209mz is it a good for black horn 209 powder?
Why did you avoid the discussion about powder and primer availability? You are pushing products you don’t have on-hand
