I am Tibetan Buddhist and I give offerings to the three Buddhas you have shown. Your altar is very beautiful and I wish you success in your practice.☸☸☸

    I'm a Theravadin.It is wonderful to hear your explanations.Sadhu!
If you can, try reading Suttas from Pali Canon along with your own school's as it would be helpful in your practice.
    Namo Buddhaya!!

    If you care about placement.
Usually the highest, most middle and most back one are the one with the higher "rank". If on the same level, then go by the order of middle, left (his), right, left left, right right and so on.
If the error of the placement is only between buddha class, then is ok. But not so if it is between buddha n Bodhisattva n protector. Just like the obvious mistake that you have made. Amitabha is a buddha, guan yin is a bodhisattva. Amitabha is the teacher of guan yin. Your positioning show guan yin is "higher" than his teacher, Amitabha. And also show that guan yin is "higher" than medicen buddha. This are the 2 placement mistake.
When placing you go by the order of Buddha then Bodhisattva then Protector.

It is not necessary to follow "rank" as the purpose of the altar is for spiritual concentration and to aid meditation. Sometimes the placement will depend on the size of the statues, and if the statue of Avalokitasvara is largest, then he must be placed in the middle, so that it looks more balanced and regal... this would help the practitioner focus. In Taoism, everything must be according to fixed rules such as rank, height, and rules regarding how the offerings are place i.e. the incense censer, candles, etc. But things are not so clear-cut when it comes to buddhism. Buddha's consciousness is not constrained to a particular seat on the altar; it permeates time and space, so the notion of placements does not really matter here.
And finally, a note on Avalokitasvara. He is an emanation of Adi Buddha, or the primordial Buddha. In Tibetan Buddhism (which this guy is practicing), Avalokitasvara is known as the Buddha of Compassion. So he is a buddha in his own right, but he has chose to enter this world as a bodhisattva in order to save it.
      Happy Wesak to all

The name is 4 face buddha, but he is actually a protector, not a buddha.
