i dont know how he get that as a gift from his friend ..and yes many of the old tibetan statue has been stolen or taken during or after the invasion..so if that statue is really old and from 17th century like the expert said.( cause here i didnt feel like he gave a good look on it, probably just by his naked eyes he guessed its old as he is an expert ,so i cant say much)then it really gonna cost more than 10000 grand..because even am not an expert but the statue is more than 12inches and in a good condition. cause even the new statue are expensive if the quality is good.

Expert: this is a rare Buddhist artefact from the 1750s and it’s worth about 10-20K

1750's? Something nearly 300 years old? I mean 7 grand is tempting, but I'd hold onto that. You never know where it'll end up or if it'll be preserved and taken care of.

The bronze statue are made in Nepal, you can find these statue in Tibet is because since long time Nepal export these different Mahayana buddhism statue for trade. I know this because I am from the family that produce these arts. Tibet and the indigenous people of Kathmandu i.e. Newar are the only Mahayana buddhism followers remaining in the world. If you visit Nepal you can explore these god in big size from 7ft to 12ft dated back about 1000years as this is a part of the culture that we indigenous people from Kathmandu follow.

Friends and family members of this guy must have discovered the true side of their beloved one.
He claimed the statue to be a gift from his friend and frankly said that he does not feel any attachment with it, but when it comes to putting a price on the statue he used it changed his color and used it as a reason to explain why the statue so valuable to him.
