Okay, the guy who Went to the moon, he had an illness, So He was about to die anyways even if he didn’t get executed, the thing is that he died from his illness, INESTEAD of his execution, so the execution would count as failed, THATS why monokuma was angry, and the guy was happy because he went to the space before die
Basically, Kirumi (the girl who climb the thorns) was the prime minister in secret, and if she didn’t get out of the academy, The nation would be in danger because monokuma said it to her, so she told her victim that she needs to save the nation, the victim agree and sacrifice, so he let kirumi kill him, Kirumi Was found guilty during the trial, in her execution she Escapes, but because the nation depend on her,
The piano execution, Kaede Killed Someone, because she tought she was killing the mastermind (who controls monokuma) she wanted to save all and end the game, but she fail, she didn’t kill the mastermind, actually she almost kill an innocent guy, but she didn’t, (kaede didn’t knew this) so the mastermind took advantage of that, she made Everyone belive, that kaede DID kill someone, So The mastermind kill That Guy, And frame kaede, Her execution lasted 8 hours
oh, the action of the execution is worse. See, if they just hung her, she would have passed out from lack of oxygen. This method though lets her get breaths in every time they touch her down on a key. So she's essentially conscious until the moment her neck finally snaps from all the whiplash On top of that, they're using her to play a very, very basic piano song. 'Der Flohwalzer'. And they're playing it badly, like, real bad. Kaede being the Ultimate Pianist...yeah, psychological and physical torture all in one.
I don't feel bad for her, this just shows that high figures in society have special treatment, most of the other also just wanted to leave, she's not special. the only thing that's different is that she's the prime minister, but she's not above others imo, it doesn't excuse her kill
There's actually a few more deaths this video left out, such as the ones in the Danganronpa 3 Anime! Unfortunately, I couldn't find a video compiling all of them :(. However, I do recommend watching at least Chiaki Nanami's DR3 execution, not to be confused with her SDR2 one which you've already seen! Its the most iconic death from the anime! Poor Chiaki has been through so much. My girl got killed TWICE, once as a human and another time as an A.I.! Probably one of the more brutal executions, too. Edit: For the full experience, I recommend the video "~Danganronpa~ Chiaki Nanami's death" followed by "Kamukura hears Chiaki's final words"
the reason why kaito was smiling after he died, is because he has always wanted to go to space and after he basically choked because there wasnt any oxygen left, he was still glad he went to space, thats why the execution failed, because junko/monokuma wanted him to feel despair, but instead he didnt.
It wasn’t that Kaito ran out of oxygen, he was already dying from an illness (first revealed to us at the end of Chapter 3, and revealed to the characters at the end of Chapter 4). It was in the middle of the execution where said illness had finally caught up to him. While yeah Kaito was able to go to space, another reason he’s smiling was that he didn’t die the way Monokuma wanted him to.
Okay, not finished with the video yet, but I'm going to explain the "Danganronpa: Another Episode" scenes. First off, the games antagonist's are the children. The main 5 are Masaru, Jataro, Kotoko, Nagisa, and Monaka. All 5 of these kids come from abusive backgrounds, and their stated goal in the game is to "kill every adult and create a paradise fot kids". They have two main things/goals in the game: one being creating "paradise" by killing every adult, which is what Nagisa, Kotoko, Jataro and Masaru really care about. Their other goal is a game they call "demon hunting" - this is a bit difficult to explain, but in the first game, the series wide antagonist, Junko Enoshima (not to be confused with Mukuro Ikusaba, her twin sister who has a habit of impersonating her) and Mastermind of the first game kidnapped the casts loved ones to use as a motive to get them to kill. These loved ones were called "Captives" and were being held in Towa City (the city this game takes place in). These kids seem to be specifically targeting these captives, including the protagonist of the game, Komaru Naegi. Each captive is given a wrist band that tracks them and explodes if they go out of bounds (which is what happened to the swimmer). Some of the kids disagree with doing this game at points, but Monaka is very insistant on it. As the game goes on, its revealed that the kids got this idea to create paradise from Junko Enoshima herself, who, after discovering them on a roof about to... you know, saved them and convinced them to live for her. As she says, "If you don't want your lives, why not give them to me?". The kids call her "Big Sis" and seem to think shes the only person who loved them. But really, who could blame them with their background of abuse (that I won't go into details with because its genuinely really dark and upsetting)? The kids control the monokuma's, which they claim Monaka created and control with her "magic". During the game, you also learn about "Towa Group" who were an I.T. corporation that basically ran the town. It's important to note that Danganronpa (aside from V3, which is set in a different universe) takes place in a man made apocalypse. Junko created a cult of terrorist who spread despair in the world, who are refered to as "Ultimate Despair" when she was alive and "Remnants of Despair" after she died in the first game. One of the remnants created a machine that polluted the air, making it contaminated and dangerous to breathe. The Towa Group created a air purifier that combated the pollution. Because of their interferance, Towa City before the events of this game was considered a safe place. It didn't have riots and chaos like the rest of the world. Of course, that changed when the kids attacked and starting hunting down adults. Its revealed near the end of the game that Towa Group was double dealing. They gave Junko weapons like the monokumas and used the knowledge of their own inventions weak points to combat the very things they made for her in the name of money. The worst the chaos got, the better. The man with the missing arm is Haiji Towa, he was the son of Tokuichi Towa who led Towa group. He knew about this, but hid it from the public/main characters for the sake of protecting his families legacy. Monaka is his little sister, and also worked at the company (hence why Junko targetted her - she wanted access to the Towa Group). She invented the Monokuma's, and when her father wanted to back out of funding the apocalypse now that Junko was dead, Monaka took control over the monokuma's and killed him (also injuring her brother). The giant Monokuma (Big Bang Monokuma) is also a invention of the Towa Group. The ultimate defense against any threat. Monaka doesn't have control over it, but Haiji does. Haiji uses it to combat the other monokuma's in the last chapter of the game. Its revealed at the end that the kids with the monokuma helmets are being brainwashed by the helmet, which were another one of Monaka's inventions. The reason the Monokuma Kids "kill" the other kids is because it was under Monaka's orders. They failed against the protagonist/Komaru, and there punishment for failing is death. Though, its revealed at the end of the game that they actually all survived-perhaps Monaka chickened out on killing them? Its also revealed that Monaka's plan/goal wasn’t paradise for kids, she didn’t actually care about killing adults, she just said that to manipulate the other kids. She wanted Komaru Naegi to become the Successor of Junko Enoshima and ignite a war between Future Foundation and Towa City. She tries to trick Komaru into breaking a controller that would have exploded every Monokuma Kids helment/heads, all while filming it. It would also destroy the monokuma's, leaving no evidence that the kids started the conflict. Instead, what Future Foundation would see when they got to the island would be a bunch of headless kids, adults celebrating it, and the Big Bang Monokuma being controled by them... they would have thought they were Remnants of Despair. And with the video of Komaru exploding the kids heads, they would have thought SHE was their leader... Junko Enoshima the Second. It would have made a war break out between them. Whether or not Komaru embraced her role or not wouldn't have mattered as long as Monaka could make it LOOK like she did, but I believe Monaka WANTED her to embrace it. She wanted her "Big Sister" back. This plan is soaked in sentimentality! She missed Junko, and wanted her replacement! If she had to break Komaru to get it, she would! After Komaru sees through her trickery, Monaka goes for destroying her mind instead. She shows her Komaru's mother and father, who she tortured and killed, to try and provoke her into killing the kids. Look at what we did to your family! Don't you want revenge? Thats what those corspes Monaka showed Komaru were; her parents. Also; thats what the adults chanting were about. At first, they say "destroy, destroy, destroy!" As in destroy the controller, and later they say "kill, kill, kill!" As in kill the kids. In the bad ending, Komaru breaks the controller and all of the kids die. In the good ending, Komaru is stopped by your companion in the game, Touko Fukawa. Then, its shown that since Haiji exited the Big Bang Monokuma to convince Komaru to break the controller, someone else is controlling it and now its attacking everyone. This someone turns out to be someone you trusted, Shirokuma, the white bear head with an AI (an AI of Junko, not that thats revealed until the epilogue) that earned everyones trust but was secretly giving info to the kids and ALSO rallying up the adults against the kids while making it look like he was not. You fight Big Bang Monokuma, you win, the building collaspes onto Monaka, though she later gets saved by Nagito Komaeda/Servant who... had his own agenda this entire game and was manipulating things in the background. He plans to raise her to be Junko Enoshima the 2nd properly, because as it was revealed at the end of SDR2, he and the rest of that games cast (minus Chiaki) were remnants of despair before losing their memories. He figures since he knew Junko so well, he could raise Monaka to be a copy! Komaru and Touko stay in the City to help it recover, and the game ends on a scene of them being cute together. Bah. Other things to note is that Monaka was lying about a great many things I didn’t even mention (such as being paralyzed, though in my opinion she had a good reason; she wanted Haiji/her brother and her father to stop beating her) and I didn't even go into depth with what Nagito Komaeda/Servant was doing in this game/what his goals/intentions were, tbh. Haiji is a human piece of trash too, for reasons I didn't even go in depth with (he abused his sister for one, and he likes "young girls, as young as possible" for two; even saying Komaru who is still a teenager is too old for him, yuck) and I didn't even talk a lot about Kurokuma and Shirokuma either. Actually, maybe I should talk about them. Shirokuma (white bear) and Kurokuma (black bear) are both two halves of the Junko AI that shows up in SDR2. Kurokuma is leading the kids, Shirokuma is leading the adults. At first, we're led to believe that shirokuma is white because hes good and kurokuma black because hes bad, but its actually a lot more interesting than that. Its said in the end that Shirokuma represents "Pure White Despair" and Kurokuma "Pitch Black Hope". And thats what they give each of their factions-Shirokuma sells out the adults relatives, leading them to be tortured by the kids-motivating the adults into committing atrocities with despair... Meanwhile, Kurokuma motivates the kids with the hope of being safe from adults/getting Junko back. Its interesting, because Monokuma is half of each of them, implying that he uses each technique together... That Junko Enoshima as a whole uses white despair and black hope to manipulate those around her. Very interesting stuff!
25:57 In Kaito's execution it's not that he can't breathe, he had a sickness that after seeing space he let himself succumb to, that's why it said execution failed, he died from a disease he had, not the execution (also he died smiling because it was his dream to go to space and he managed to achieve it)
according to the anime, the kids arent dead. I think atleast, and the bears that grabbed them were adults. I am pretty sure. The kids are controlling the robots, and the monokumas are working for them. The kids are bad because their parents abused them in some sort of way. Also that vampire that saved the pink haired kid was toko. She is the ultimate writing prodigy / her alter ego. Genocide jack/ jill. The ultimate serial killer. The other girl is komaru, the sister of the ultimate hope which was in the first game, and the future foundationis a group that contains her brother, and some other survivors of the first game. To give you some context, the 1-3 games are a killing game.

The worst part is the reveal that it wasn't even true. The entire backstory is a lie so she died for nothing.

I think the worst one for me was the girl and the piano death 🎹 or the girl in the thumbnail
