The worlds of danganronpa and Teyvat are intertwined, teyvat being an “island” that was originally from japan but got separated afterwards. This is Kokichi’s PAST AS SCARAMOUCHE, So the events shown in the video happened before the killing game.
Obs: the reaction takes place before chapter 4!!!

It just makes the reactions worth so much more and recontextualises whatever character they're reacting to.
