I did an interior on a 55 Chevy a few years ago. I had no clue what I was doing at first. I bought a 25year old JUKI and watched lots of TH-cam videos like yours. Since then,I’ve had many people make me offers to do their cars! Thank you for sharing your knowledge and expertise!
Awesome, thanks for sharing your story and for watching. Keep on sewing and watching

You’re a true craftsman Spanky! You’re doing things most people push off on the upholstery guy… my mom did upholstery when my dad did cars! It’s a ton of work …..and you are the man!
Haha it’s a passion but hard work. Thank you for the kind words.
👍
@@SpankysHotRodsandCustoms BTW my knees started to ache watching you crawl around that backseat! 👍👀👍you da man! …👍

Nicely done Spanky, 🫵🏼💯🆒
@rustedjunkgarage3316 thanks so much.
Perfect job, nice to see the progress on the Impala! Keep it up
More to come! And thanks for watching.
Awesome job Spanky, love these upholstery videos!!!!
Glad you like them!
Very nice Spanky, I like the way you have sculpted the foam for the seats and side panels on this one of a kind custom creation!!
Thanks Brian, lots of work
Yep this is a side of kustomizing a car would be kool to know.
Thanks my friend for watching
Great video Mike!
I never would have thought custom interiors would have cost that much…wow
Thanks for sharing!👍🏽
Thanks for watching buddy
I musta missed this..lots of shop time will do that as you know. Great video Mike!
Thanks brother.
Spanky, as always, an outstanding tutorial. Thanks for sharing your upholstery expertise. The Chevy II needs an interior... HMMM... Sticking around, like always. Take care.
Thanks buddy, stop sending that cold wind and snow my way. 😂
If I could, I would. We are getting some snow today 2-3 ". Then this week will be overnight temps below 0, for 3 nights. BUT as always, my shop is toasty warm.@@SpankysHotRodsandCustoms
@Bigskyguy56 please keep it out there brother. 🤪
Pretty cool, can’t wait to see more 👍🏻
Thanks for watching. Hope you guys are off to a great start in this new year. More to come soon.

2024 I’m learning this and have already started manifesting progress
Awesome, keep working hard. I learn from every joy and mistake

Great video can’t wait for the next ones
Thanks again for watching.
Thanks for the videos, keep it up.
Thanks for watching
Happy I found you! Some good info. What front seats are those?
Thanks!
I made them in another episode. They are copies of other seats I’ve bought in the past. Because of the car and size it was better to build these instead of buying. Thanks for watching and please make it a habit.

Hey man - thanks for subscribing! I've been watching your channel for quite awhile. If I'm not mistaken - you also have Porsche content? I'm also very much DIY'f as well😊
Thanks also brother, yes my first Porsche.a bucket list car and a bucket case . Learning as I go. Maybe we can collaborate on a project together and do some videos.
I need to watch these for Mayhem
Yes, get some ideas.
What density of foam do you use, I’m building a 32 roadster and watching all your videos, thank you for all the content and help
I have part numbers for what I used and believe it in the video or the Impala seat video. The back foam is much softer than the butt seat foam . I’ll look and try to help. Got to my info page and send me a email. Spankytire@yahoo.com .
do you have to use specific thread/stitching for airbag safety?
Great question, but I have no clue. I’ve never worked on anything new enough to have a air bag. Sorry and thanks for watching and asking me for advice.
-Spanky
I see alot of seat frames made with spring backs is that necessary
Lots of different Density foams you can choose but spring will help on comfort on long rides. Thanks for watching
Maybe I need to quit upholstering furniture and switch to cars .crap that's good money
Yep and most guys had a 1-2 year waiting list.
Thanks for watching
I like ur vibe and appreciate ur willingness to take us on this journey with you!
Liked, subscribed, and am looking forward to seeing how u do what u do and gleaning as much knowledge as I possibly can as I embark on my upholstery journey as well! 🙌🏻🪡👍🏼
Thanks so much for joining me and our TH-cam channel family
@@SpankysHotRodsandCustoms just for my own sense of reference, how many weeks/months do you typically spend on a project of this size?
@sethbrayer504 6 to 8 weeks on average some less some more just on upholstery
@@SpankysHotRodsandCustoms I’ve seen your work… I feel like this should take a year or two with that much detail, lol! Seriously tho, I’m really looking fwd to watching this interior come to life. 🙌🏻🪡👍🏼
