Every year I would take my palomino's mane hair that came out while brushing, and leave it on the ground for nests. Then I would always find one or two nests empty in the fall, full of his white, soft, hair. I had to put Romeo down two months ago at 32 years old! I treasure those nests I collected. Good job "helping" Elsa.

I totally relate with this. Living in rural Humboldt County, California you sometimes want to go see things other than the redwood forest. But towards the end of the trip you start missing those beautiful redwood trees, the ocean, and rivers.
I lived in Utah from 1977 Until 2002. It was so beautiful to see the Moab area, I spent a lot of time in southern Utah. What a nice morning of reminiscing. Happy travels

Loved revisiting some of my favorite places with you! Moab is fantastic! We kayaked the Green River from Moab to Mineral bottom. 80 miles of beauty. We love road trips too!

And seeing the scenery and Kamp. I would like to snuggle with him. When my husband and I would go away in the winter, from PA, we would always come home to snow and have to shovel the cars out. Glad you enjoyed Moab this time. A few years back we built our entire trip out of getting a reservation at the campground in Arches. It was magical, except for getting caught in a flash flood while hiking (a bit scary but we were ok). Utah is beautiful.
Loved your ability to just up and leave to reach warmer weather. I was going to get up this morning and looked at the weather app and said nope. I think I was at that museum while in New Mexico. Their Native American exhibit was phenomenal. This makes me want to go back on my way back to my daughter’s in May. Right now just outside Havasu City on BLM. Elsa I have been rockhounding and found some great ones that will make beautiful cabochons. Loved your choice.
We went to Moab & southern Utah early spring of 2015. It was our first no reservation snowbird experience in the southwest. Lots of folks we met recommended to closely watch March for first let up in snowfall and overnight freezing temps. As soon as we saw a break in the weather, we booked a spot for 5 nights in Springdale - front door to Zion. It was an amazing experience. After some amazing hikes in Zion including the Narrows & Angels Landing….the small town of Springdale had a St. Patrick’s Day ☘️ parade & all the local cafes and pubs celebrated as well. In Moab, we snagged a few nights at a KOA ( not our first pick of places) and though not our favorite campsite, we were close to everything we wanted to explore in Moab.
It’s been really fun to watch your personalities come to light in the last few years. I love your content, it’s mine and my boyfriends dream one day to do exactly what you guys are doing and we will. I feel like I know you guys, super great content. Keep creating I love it!

Back to the middle and stop. But, I always like and agree with yous guys dropping into a cold running stream. Back in St. Louis Missouri, I worked on a new golfcourse and for next to nothing. Long story short, my gas got turned off in the middle of winter. I slept next to my electric oven. I worked in a foundary over the winter and residual heat carried me back home. Blankets and stuff kept me warm. Now to the point. The cold shower was at once, well, shocking. But at the end of the day, or should I say, the beginning transformed me. My neighbors, I am positive, heard my yoals. Happy B-day KAMP!

It's tough being around lots of people after being solitary. I think Moab is overrated. Their brewery was one of the worst we have ever experienced in the hundreds we have visited. However, BASECAMP outside of town was one of the best. Tom is the best host ever. Your food prep videos are still the bomb. Arches is amazing. I love mornings too, Elsa. Loved you helping the birds.That shows your true soul. Carry on you guys!

You were looking for a good sauce recipe … I took an Italian cooking class in Boulder in the 70s (!); this still is my favorite: 1/4 C each: minced onion, olive oil, minced carrot, minced sweet basil; 1 clove minced garlic; 1C minced celery; 3 cans tomato sauce. salt/pepper to taste Sauté onion & garlic until golden brown. Add carrot, celery, sweet basil, salt&pepper. Continue cooking until vegetables are wilted. Add tomato sauce … simmer for 45 minutes. It’s sweet and crunchy.
Nice video of a much needed trip for you guys! Elsa- when you come over to Canon City, you need to go to the rock shop at the top of eight mile hill on US 50 at the turnoff to the Royal Gorge. They have great stones for you to use in your jewelry making!

🥲I have to say i am overwhelmed with joy at the spirit of exploration, love, and laughter! Im 43 years old and since I was a child loved camping in my backyard or the local woods! I never wanted a mortgage or taxes! I am thrilled at the possibility of this type of life. I’ve tried hiking and love it… but never got a “mobile home” because of expense and inconvenience. But you seem to have a formula that finds a happy medium! I need this! Thanks for showing me a path! Ps … i loved the ending of this video “…. Yeah” lol
I love Moab! We went last May and it was so fun. It wasn't too busy but they were restricting how many cars could go into Arches due to Covid. We just went really early to avoid it.

1/4 C each: minced onion, olive oil, minced carrot, minced sweet basil; 1 clove minced garlic; 1C minced celery; 3 cans tomato sauce.
salt/pepper to taste
Sauté onion & garlic until golden brown.
Add carrot, celery, sweet basil, salt&pepper.
Continue cooking until vegetables are wilted.
Add tomato sauce … simmer for 45 minutes.
It’s sweet and crunchy.

🥲I have to say i am overwhelmed with joy at the spirit of exploration, love, and laughter! Im 43 years old and since I was a child loved camping in my backyard or the local woods! I never wanted a mortgage or taxes! I am thrilled at the possibility of this type of life. I’ve tried hiking and love it… but never got a “mobile home” because of expense and inconvenience. But you seem to have a formula that finds a happy medium! I need this! Thanks for showing me a path!

I love Moab! We went last May and it was so fun. It wasn't too busy but they were restricting how many cars could go into Arches due to Covid. We just went really early to avoid it.
