I love the movie Inside Out 2, because of how it portrays teenagers trying to fit in, being weird with the four new feelings, and having an identity crisis. The morals behind it are so strong and relatable for people who are or aren't religious. (Basically ALL people.)

I have a lot of anxiety and depression, especially recently. And everything I feel, I can for sure see it looking like this in my brain lol. Especially when Anxiety was going CRAZY almost making like an anxiety hurricane in Riley's mind, I was like wow it feels EXACTLY like that. My name is also Riley so I was like omg damn lol relatable for sure. I loved Inside Out 2.

Inside Out 2 & Puss in Boots: The Last Wish have the same good reactions from me. They both dealt with anxiety and depression which I personally dealt with in the last couple of years. Both are good movies that are SUPER relatable for me.

For me on some level this is definitely a refreshing return to form for Pixar and was such a great sequel to the original Inside Out. Also recently I’ve graduated from high school so I feel like this movie definitely came at a good time for and I think for a lot of people as well. It’s not perfect but I do think it’s really great that this is the first sequel from Pixar that was able to as good as its predecessor with the exception of Toy Story. I haven’t loved a sequel this much since like Toy Story 3. And I actually wouldn’t mind potentially getting an Inside Out 3 if it’ll be as good. However with Pixar sequels I’m not holding my breath for other Pixar sequels since I would like more original movies from them and I feel like there’s no need for sequels for any of their other films (even Toy Story), since most of their stories felt concluded after their predecessors. Inside Out on the other hand is the one film that felt like it deserved a sequel the most and I’m so glad it was able to have such a great follow up. All I know is that I’d prefer Inside Out 3 over Toy Story 5 or Cars 4 or something.

I saw the movie today, and I pretty much have the same criticisms as you, though I don't have all of the negatives you gave. My only issue with it was the voice replacements (In fact, I honestly thought Phyllis Smith didn't come back to do Sadness, because she sounded a little different to me than I remember her sounding in the first movie). The replacement for Disgust was decent. She did sound like Mindy Kaling to me most of the time. Although I didn't like Fear's voice. My reason is similar to what you said! The guy did act like him, but did not sound like Bill Hader at all. But overall, while it's not as good as the first movie, I did think it was really good!

The movie was just ok, I have mixed feelings about it. Anger, disgust, boredom, and anxiety aren't my favorite emotions while others are ok☹️Riley's expanded mind area reminded me of Avatar(blue one) alot. Around the ending when all emotions hugged Riley's sense of self, it reminded me of what i said before which made me teary-eyed> Everyone has pros and cons of ourselves while some people have more pros/cons than cons/pros of themselves. I did tell couple people in stonestown theaters that there are after credit scenes when I checked it online at home. There's something about emotions from inside out 2 reminded me of the 7 sins when the emotions are getting intense> joy- pride
    boredom- sloth
embarrassment- gluttony(overeating can come with embarrassment)
    anger- wrath
    anxiety- lust and greed
    envy- envy

Too bad Pride wasn't an emotion in the movie!
Here's my character description of my OC of Pride: (His color is chartreuse (yellowish-green) and his shape is based on an isosceles triangle, or a tower)
“Vain and egotistical, and the tallest of the emotions, Pride is a walking tower of self-satisfaction. Pride’s not always above himself though, as he’s also very persistent in seeing his friends do their best job. He loves to see everyone else revel in their victories as much as his own, especially Riley’s own achievements, which makes him the most proud.”

I notice that you didn’t mention about the non emotion characters like lance and bloofy (he’s my second favorite character) but embarrassment is my favorite character since he did talk at the end for 5 minutes

Though not as good and emotional as the first movie, this movie was a brilliant sequel. It was probably one of the most relatable aniamted films ever. The new emotions are fantastic. All very well designed and are all fun and and quirky. The creativity was through the roof once again and that panick attack scene was simply incredible. A perfect visual interpretation of what an anxiety attack feels like and looks like

In my opinion, the problem hasnt been Pixar's movies. Pixar never stopped making great films. Sure they have one or two misses every so often, but so does every studio. The problem is with the pandemic and how Disney handled Pixar in the Disney Plus era. Onward, Luca, Soul, and Turning Red were all good films but were never given a chance as they were straight to Disney Plus. Elemental (which ultimately did recoup its investment) then suffered because families were trained to just wait for the Disney Plus release. Unfortunately Disney is going to take away from this that original Pixar films are too risky and force them tob pump out a bunch of sequels. However I hope that Pixar fights back and gets another banger original film that keeps things going. Pixar is still a solid studio that was just done dirty by Disney.

How many people stayed until the end of the credits to find out what Riley’s dark secret was? In the cinema that I was in my brother and myself were the only ones who knew what the secret was out of the 30-40 people who were actually watching the movie

Here’s the Question about Inside Out 2: what timeline dose it fit in The Pixar Theory? (Besides The Emotions because there everywhere in every Pixar Character’s Mind, don’t know about Wall-E or Eve because there Robots same thing with every Toys from Toy Story)

I love this movie, end of story... hopefully, Pixar has learned from their mistakes.
Seriously though, Incredibles 3, Luka 2, Up 2, Monters Ink 2, or A bug's Life 2... which one is your top pick?
I personally would like Incredibles 3 if it focused on the Parr kids growing up... maybe, they could pull a Rio 2 and make Syndrome survive the crash or Spiderverse or something?🥰👍💙
So, Violet leaving High School, Dash leaving Elementary, and Jack Jack starting School.

It is more so that Disney realized that sending Pixar films straight to Disney Plus was harming their brand and that they need to start marketing films again beyond just expecting social media to build hype. Also having a wide open release window (this June just had no other major films on the docket to compete in this category) really meant they were the only game in town.

    • @amandaandherstuffedanimals1308

@@jonathanbowers8964 that is a pretty good point, but they did definitely promoted their films with trailers and stuff it’s not like they haven’t done at all like Netflix has been doing but I would admit that it was hard for people to see it
