Yay!!! Another Lion King Fanatic like me!!! I also love absolutely everything Lion King!! and the OG Lion King holds a big place in my heart. I was born with rheumatoid arthritis, so I was always hurting so when I was little I couldn’t really go outside and play with my siblings, if I did I would end up hurting ( more then usual) so what I would do, I would ask my mom to watch my favorite movie, The Lion King! I watched it just about every single day, or whenever I was in pain and it made me feel just a little bit better. And I still do to this day, I watch the movie or listen to the soundtrack at least once a week or whenever I’m hurting or sick and it makes me so happy 😁
I feel so heard and validated. Because so many people here where I live used to make fun of me for my obsession to this movie. To the point some people thought I was homosexual, which was and is far from the truth. Many of the same reasons to what you said Brian I 100% agree. The only difference was I did love can you feel the love tonight. Maybe if anything because I so desperately wanted love myself. But the movie will always has and always will be my favorite as well. 😊
Lion King is still one of my favorite Disney films of all time. Ever since it came out, I was obsessed with The Lion King. Today, I feel even more connected to The Lion King now because Simba and I are in the same boat in losing a loved one. I lost my father to covid/pneumonia 4 years ago., So I know exactly what Simba was going through. So yeah, its still has a special place in my heart.

Those are exactly the same reasons why The Lion King is my favorite movie of all time. For me, not only did it inspire me to learn more about animals and African cultures (even inspiring me to pursue a career as an Exhibit Interpreter at Zoo Atlanta), but its story and music are still as powerful as they were in 1994 when I was 2 and first saw the movie. 🦁 👑 🐾

Yeah, when Timon and Pumbaa find Simba in the desert, it's my favorite scene too I think, it was the first scene I saw from the movie when I met it casually on TV and from there I got hooked on wanting to find the movie. Also it's weirdly incredible to be able to quote word for word even in sleep :)
When my siblings and I were just toddlers and we'd play around (being loud) our uncle would put this movie in the VCR and we'd literally come RUNNING and we'd sit quietly with our legs crossed lol. And my BFF of 10+ yrs (14yrs to be exact) we share this movie as our favorite it's one of the biggest things we bonded over that made us become friends. And when my son wanted to go pet shopping for a lizard (bearded dragon) we found one who's name just so happened to be Simba and knowing that my son also loves Lion King we of course chose that lizard to bring home.
My brother was so fed up with me requesting this movie every night when I was a kid. We would watch it all the way through and then (because it was a VHS tape) we would watch it again backwards at 2x the speed. I still LOVE this movie.

This film is so near and dear to me because not only do I love animals, this film is responsible for igniting the spark inside me for pursuing the path of an artist/animator and I am grateful for that reason. The Lion King is definitely one of my favorites, yes. But is it my all-time favorite? Not sure about that. Some contenders for my favorite classic Disney film would be Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This is my all time favourite film, for many of the reasons you mentioned. I had the soundtrack when I was little, it was a special edition where it had the first film and score, as well as Simba's Pride's soundtrack. I played the crap out of that CD! I remember re-enacting the Circle of Life with my stuffed animals, whilst it was playing. I also had multiple editions of the DVD growing up and bawled seeing the West End production in London.
Great Video Brian! While I do think The Lion King is a beautiful movie, the animation, the songs, the score, and the characters are strong, and it’s in my top 10 Disney movies. But there are other Disney animated movies I prefer more. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to Brian and other people who love this movie because they can, but it’s a Disney movie I would say I respect more than I want to watch it. Please allow me to explain. The reason I say this is because I do feel some scenes are a little rush, and need time to process more. While I don’t agree with Brian saying that Simba and Nala don’t need to be a coulple but I’m glad they did because it adds a different heart to the story, but what ruins it is the argument they had and I wish once they returned to the pride lands they apologized to each other and say I love you. Nala is honestly my favorite character in the movie and the most underrated and wish she had more screen time in the original animated movie. (Also Brian I’m disappointed that you didn’t mention Nala when talking about the characters). I do agree they should have put Shadowland in the remake, that song would have been perfect for Beyonce’s voice. With the other characters, I would have liked to have more chemistry between Simba and his relationships with both Nala, Scar, and Mufasa’, and dig more into the trauma he felt. With Timon and Pumbaa, while I do think they’re good sidekicks and they can be really funny, there are some parts in the movie where they can get a little annoying and overstay their welcome in certain scenes. I also feel like sometimes the comedy is all over the place and it has too much modern-day talk. But all that’s just my opinion. And honestly depending on my mood when compared to other Disney movies I just feel sad and angry when I watch The Lion King, and I don’t feel satisfied I always feel like the original animated movie could have been 2 hours long because when I watch it I’m always missing something. Overall I do think The Lion King is an amazing movie I just don’t think it’s perfect, in fact, no Disney animated movie is perfect. This is all just my opinion, if people love Lion King awesome, I hope you enjoy it. I always get so nervous when trying to express my feelings towards this because I know it’s such a beloved movie.

This was and is my Dad’s favorite Disney movie. I have to say, I grew up with this movie, and I love it too. I also love lions, lions are my favorite animals. I also love the straight to DVD sequels, Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride and The Lion King: 1/12 (one and a half). I also love the 2019 remake, I cannot wait to see Mufasa.
I'm gonna be honest. I don't fully love this movie. It's good but was ruined as a child. I Just Can't Wait To Be King was too colorful and exciting. Can You Feel The Love Tonight was way too romantic (Song was redeemed by Peyton Parrish Cover). And the Circle of Life was because of overwhelmed and repetitive. I tried Choir and one of the songs was Circle of Life and it didn't help that I was overwhelmed by people that I don't know. And during my weekly Art Class it was played too many times on the occasion. I still like Hakuna Matata and Be Prepared is still my favorite Villain Song. I even love Rafiki being a character of humor and wisdom through years of experience. It's honestly complicated and I don't think I could ever watch it again. I'll honestly prefer The Lion King 2 over The Lion King
And yet, this movie STILL has no ride representation! Come on, Disney! I guarantee that if anything, Tokyo Disneyland will get a Lion King ride before American Disney parks do sadly. But we still need one somewhere!
The Lion King is most definitely my favorite Disney movie too. It shows the circle of life, and has many great enjoyable scenes in the film with a cast of entertaining talking wild animals. Even if it says comedy is not one of the genres of The Lion King. I think the film mixes many of the different film genres together, and comedy is one of them. Both Timon, and Pumbaa are the comic reliefs of The Lion King franchise, but other characters, such as Rafiki, and even Simba have plenty of funny moments. Also the first film may be better. Though the sequel has the better soundtrack, and I might not be the only one in here who thinks so.🦁🐗🌅🟡🔴🟠
Lion King is My all time favorite as well. Although if Simba And Nala's romance was removed that would have felt like a missed plot point. Even before Zazu tells Them (and The Viewers) that They are betrothed You can tell that Nala is (or at least will be) Simba's love interest. If nothing were to come of that. The movie would just be missing something. And I don't just mean a cub at The End.

I can totally relate to Brian’s thoughts about this movie. It is my absolute favorite movie of all time because it is one of my few movies and universe I got to watch over and over again while most others I only watch once or twice at most.

Did you know in lion king at the end of the movie they show their son first which is kion cuz he is the color of Simba and then at the beginning of the second one they show kiara cuz the lion cub is the color of Nala. They had three kids kion, kopa, and Kiara so I think they should make another lion king or kings showing kion and kopa and what happened to them.

It is an epic triumph of an animated masterpiece of spectacular art with mature, relatable themes, brilliant ideas for the script, and a dynamic mood that can range from witty humor to harrowing drama.
The Lion King was the very first film I've ever watched in my youth. Truth be told I don't really remember it, but my parents told me when I was a baby I was having a blast while the movie was playing on our VHS. Of course I've watched the movie so many times for 25 years growing up. But now that I'm learning about film narrative I finally understand why I love this animated film so much and why it's my favorite animated film of all time.

The Lion King is definitely one of my favorites, yes. But is it my all-time favorite? Not sure about that. Some contenders for my favorite classic Disney film would be Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast and The Nightmare Before Christmas.
This is my all time favourite film, for many of the reasons you mentioned. I had the soundtrack when I was little, it was a special edition where it had the first film and score, as well as Simba's Pride's soundtrack. I played the crap out of that CD! I remember re-enacting the Circle of Life with my stuffed animals, whilst it was playing. I also had multiple editions of the DVD growing up and bawled seeing the West End production in London.
Great Video Brian! While I do think The Lion King is a beautiful movie, the animation, the songs, the score, and the characters are strong, and it’s in my top 10 Disney movies. But there are other Disney animated movies I prefer more. I’m not trying to be disrespectful to Brian and other people who love this movie because they can, but it’s a Disney movie I would say I respect more than I want to watch it.
Please allow me to explain. The reason I say this is because I do feel some scenes are a little rush, and need time to process more. While I don’t agree with Brian saying that Simba and Nala don’t need to be a coulple but I’m glad they did because it adds a different heart to the story, but what ruins it is the argument they had and I wish once they returned to the pride lands they apologized to each other and say I love you. Nala is honestly my favorite character in the movie and the most underrated and wish she had more screen time in the original animated movie. (Also Brian I’m disappointed that you didn’t mention Nala when talking about the characters). I do agree they should have put Shadowland in the remake, that song would have been perfect for Beyonce’s voice.
With the other characters, I would have liked to have more chemistry between Simba and his relationships with both Nala, Scar, and Mufasa’, and dig more into the trauma he felt. With Timon and Pumbaa, while I do think they’re good sidekicks and they can be really funny, there are some parts in the movie where they can get a little annoying and overstay their welcome in certain scenes. I also feel like sometimes the comedy is all over the place and it has too much modern-day talk. But all that’s just my opinion. And honestly depending on my mood when compared to other Disney movies I just feel sad and angry when I watch The Lion King, and I don’t feel satisfied I always feel like the original animated movie could have been 2 hours long because when I watch it I’m always missing something. Overall I do think The Lion King is an amazing movie I just don’t think it’s perfect, in fact, no Disney animated movie is perfect.
This is all just my opinion, if people love Lion King awesome, I hope you enjoy it. I always get so nervous when trying to express my feelings towards this because I know it’s such a beloved movie.
I agree, I would actually say the love song in The Lion King 2 is far better than Can You Feel the Love Tonight.
My two favorite songs the circle of life and I just can’t wait to be king and my favorite villain is scar and my favorite character are simba, Timon and pumbaa

This was and is my Dad’s favorite Disney movie. I have to say, I grew up with this movie, and I love it too. I also love lions, lions are my favorite animals. I also love the straight to DVD sequels, Lion King 2: Simba’s Pride and The Lion King: 1/12 (one and a half). I also love the 2019 remake, I cannot wait to see Mufasa.

I'm gonna be honest. I don't fully love this movie. It's good but was ruined as a child.
I Just Can't Wait To Be King was too colorful and exciting. Can You Feel The Love Tonight was way too romantic (Song was redeemed by Peyton Parrish Cover).
And the Circle of Life was because of overwhelmed and repetitive. I tried Choir and one of the songs was Circle of Life and it didn't help that I was overwhelmed by people that I don't know. And during my weekly Art Class it was played too many times on the occasion.
I still like Hakuna Matata and Be Prepared is still my favorite Villain Song. I even love Rafiki being a character of humor and wisdom through years of experience.
It's honestly complicated and I don't think I could ever watch it again. I'll honestly prefer The Lion King 2 over The Lion King

The Lion King is most definitely my favorite Disney movie too. It shows the circle of life, and has many great enjoyable scenes in the film with a cast of entertaining talking wild animals. Even if it says comedy is not one of the genres of The Lion King. I think the film mixes many of the different film genres together, and comedy is one of them. Both Timon, and Pumbaa are the comic reliefs of The Lion King franchise, but other characters, such as Rafiki, and even Simba have plenty of funny moments. Also the first film may be better. Though the sequel has the better soundtrack, and I might not be the only one in here who thinks so.🦁🐗🌅🟡🔴🟠
Lion King is My all time favorite as well.
Although if Simba And Nala's romance was removed that would have felt like a missed plot point. Even before Zazu tells Them (and The Viewers) that They are betrothed You can tell that Nala is (or at least will be) Simba's love interest.
If nothing were to come of that. The movie would just be missing something. And I don't just mean a cub at The End.
Did you also know that the 3 heyenas were just gonna be 2 heyenas and they were gonna be Cheech and Chong but Tommy Chong was unavailable

We love this movie, but my top favorite disney movie is tangled, because it spoke to me as an artist who wants to see the exciting things in life like how rapunzel is in the movie. moana second behind it is another one of my favorites

I can totally relate to Brian’s thoughts about this movie. It is my absolute favorite movie of all time because it is one of my few movies and universe I got to watch over and over again while most others I only watch once or twice at most.

Did you know in lion king at the end of the movie they show their son first which is kion cuz he is the color of Simba and then at the beginning of the second one they show kiara cuz the lion cub is the color of Nala. They had three kids kion, kopa, and Kiara so I think they should make another lion king or kings showing kion and kopa and what happened to them.
i have loved everything about the lion king james earl jones has always made my heart happy when i see mufasa on screen and then when mufasa died i cried like a baby so much when that part came up. i love the lion king and i love james earl jones to . but my favorite songs from the movie will always be just cant wait to be king and the circle of life . my goodness its amazing

Yes! I totally agree with Brian. "The Lion King" is one of my favorite films, not as a kid, but as an adult. It is an epic triumph of an animated masterpiece of spectacular art with mature, relatable themes, brilliant ideas for the script, and a dynamic mood that can range from witty humor to harrowing drama.
The Lion King was the very first film I've ever watched in my youth. Truth be told I don't really remember it, but my parents told me when I was a baby I was having a blast while the movie was playing on our VHS. Of course I've watched the movie so many times for 25 years growing up. But now that I'm learning about film narrative I finally understand why I love this animated film so much and why it's my favorite animated film of all time.
