    This helped for sure. Could you also make a video on jumping doubles or maybe hitting jumps one after another in a rhythm section to get the timing right? I know doubles are moreso a mindgame because of the empty space in the middle, but a video would forsure help

    I have a video on my channel of when I did big gulp for the first time. I told myself at the beginning of the day I was going to do it but hesitated every lap until it was the final moto on the last lap when I knew I had no choice but to jump it. I completely over shot the landing because I was so afraid of coming up short. After that I came back to Budds Creek on a practice day and I nailed it perfectly nearly every time.

    Me for new jumps is go short a few times to get a understanding of how fast I need to go and then go for it.Usually this works perfect,but for doubles I just watch people do it for a while and think of what gear I need to be in and how much on the gas.I used this strategy Saturday at hangtown as it was my first time being their and I ended up getting all the doubles and the long tables.I also use Aj’s technique of hitting jumps 2-3-4 times to remember speed and gear and be comfortable

    I tried the big double - double at TMX in Tulsa for the first time, and I crashed very hard. This was 2 months ago, and I haven't ridden since, due to injuries. I am even more scared of it than before. I came up short on the first landing, it bucked me at an angle and I whiskey throttled and hit the next jump and landed on flat ground and went into the trees. How do I overcome this?

  • @8180634

    Pet peeve, casing is when you land on the engine case, like land on the peak with one wheel on each side and the engine case hits the ground. When did "casing" become landing flat?

    • @AjCatanzaro

I may have to drop back to a 250 ?? what do ya think AJ ?? Stay with the 450 ?? and just take my time with it, or drop down to a 250 ?? Thanks Man !! Hope to hear back from ya ! I'm from Western Ky.

      @AjCatanzaro  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 350 really would be the perfect bike for your situation and your weight. It just depends how much you feel you’re struggling with the 450 power. If you were 190 pounds and a beginner I would say absolutely get a 250

I'm really trying to get this weight off of myself...lolol...But, the older ya get the harder it is to get it to come off !! lolol....But, Yeah, the power kinda freaked me out when I first got the 450 but, I'm getting used to it, and these damn 450's have the power !! lolol...#1 more ?? if you don't mind...What am I doing wrong, it feels like the bike want to pull me off ! I have watched allyour videos on "How too" !! ? What do I need to do too help this problem ?? Thanks So much for your time and help !!

    I've been interested in the Moto academy. But my bike is a Sur Ron electric 5kw dirt bike. It's more comparable to the power of a 110 but with more torque and sits up more like a proper dirt bike/downhill bike. Would the lessons still translate? I've been using your cornering technics and working on my attack stance, but the bike is so narrow it's hard to grip it with your knees and other quirks. As much as I want to get a full size dirt bike it's not in the cards at the moment. Do you think Moto academy will still help?
    Love your content man

    • @AjCatanzaro

      Proper footwork will make it so it doesn’t matter how tall you are. Point your toes in, and it will aim your knee caps inward to help grip (even if your knees are above the seat)

      Yeah, but don't forget to talk about the technique of where to sit on the bike on the takeoff, and during the apex of the jump, and if you're perhaps front end high what to do without hitting the stinking rear brake, how do you bring the front end down if you're on the back of the bike or something like that ? So I would like some help with positioning on the bike before the jump during the takeoff, what you should be doing during the apex of the jump in preparation for landing on the downside of the jump etc etc, thanks you're a great teacher and do a wonderful job, Tom
