Listen to the others... The Alchemy live version is infinitely more entertaining, with even more jaw-dropping, but still amazingly chill guitar solos. He's one of those guys that makes everything seem effortless and too much fun!!!

Lead guitarist and vocals Mark Knopfler, one of the greatest guitarists ever to walk the planet. The Rhythm guitarist on his left is is younger brother David Knopfler they co founded Dire Straits together, if l remember correctly in 1977. Mark gave up his job as a College Lecturer in the North of England to found the band. I saw them live several times in the early days, absolutely talented musicians and song writers. Mark is living legend, a much loved and respected musician here in the UK who is still performing today......🙂

YES! I think everyone is going to ask you to do the live version at Alchemy. They speed it up a bit and go wild. But Mark Knoffler is chill still at a different level. If you love this , the other will be your favorite X100!

Telegraph Road and Tunnel of Love are the other two more epic songs of theirs. Live they will blow your mind.
That is Mark Knopfler who is on the guitar and singing. If you watch his guitar playing closely his ability to finger pick that cleanly on a clean electric guitar sound without any glitches whilst singing and keeping in time with the band, i think sometimes that he is up there with like the best of the best of guitarists from the 70s. Including the Eric Claptons and the Jimi Hendrix and the Eddie Van Halens i really do ❤

Mark Knofler is so fluent with the guitar, he can sing solo right along without missing a beat. His singing and playing are second nature to him! Of course the music and song are great as well!

I listened to this song on the radio, but never knew who the artist was, it just ‘was’. It wasn’t until I started watching reactors listen to this song that I started to pay attention to the lyrics. I don’t know that I figured it out myself, probably one of the commenters mentioned it, but this song is about an open mic night for bands. You’ve got a jazz band, a Dixieland jazz band, the Sultans of Swing and then it’s time to go home. I thought that was really cool when I finally caught on! 👍👍😄

I've gone through all your videos, and I didn't see your reaction to a song called 'Sound of Silence' by Disturb. Originally done by Simon and Garfunkel. I believe it was done in 2015. I promise you, it's a song you'll never forget!!!
I actually prefer this studio recorded original version.
The only big problem is the play out guitar solo at the end was cut out.
The tragedy of this particular version of this song is that the video cuts out right at the best part which is the outro solo.

I've seen so many reaction videos of this song and no one mentions that Mark Knopfler is using his fingers picking the guitar strings instead of using a guitar pick. Just using his fingers like classical guitarist do.
