Enjoyed your very informative video on roof top PV installations. You used the term zip ties in several places and would like to introduce you to SolarSafe Kynar PVDF cable ties that carry a 25 year performance guarantee. They will last while nylon cable ties will fail. No need to disturb a well laid out installation in a few years to replace failed nylon cable ties. Use SolarSafe Kynar PVDF cable ties.

This is primarily for large commercial projects. Very little mention of DIY or home systems. The title should say that.

We appreciate that suggestion. Yes, this did indeed focus more on larger projects. We are working on some content geared toward the residential sector. Thanks for watching!

Nobody wants to talk about roof penetrations or pass through for PV wire. It’s hard to find a solution that works easy

Could you please clarify further? I'm having a little trouble understanding the issue you're having.

@@TheMetalRoofingAcademy the wire from the solar array needs to go through the roof to get to the inverter. The boxes on the market are designed for flat mount or have built in flashing for shingles roof. Nothing fits between the 9 inch trapezoidal ribs on my metal roof. Soladeck doesn’t work, other generic boxes don’t work. I want an easy transition box. Also, THHN wire is half the cost so running PV wire all the way to the Inverter is stupid.

@@esquire9445 Sorry, we do not know specific junction box products that would work in that situation. One thought is to install some kind of stand-off with a conduit sleeve to connect the box to the roof penetration.
And thanks for your insight on THHN wires, good idea.
