Regarding the Menendez case. I have not heard that both brothers were living outside of the parents' home. I will research this. It's important because Erik was specifically told by José that he would not allow him to live in the dorm at college, and this was one of the two reasons that Erik was so distraught during the time leading up to the murders. I believe this conversation with José helped push him to believe he would never get away from his abusive parents.

With Murdaugh, the integrity question was with the clerk. This time it’s with the judge, DA’s office, and MSP. The judge controls the court. Morrissey demanded she do everything to get KR convicted, because normally Bev is defendant’s rights judge and goes overboard to make sure the defendant’s rights are protected. She didn’t do that with KR. If they have a hearing, Bev isn’t ordering it. And honestly, I think they should do what was done with Murdaugh and have another judge come in who is a retired appellate judge (or a judge if the law nerd’s choosing) and bring the jurors in one by one. If they say they acquitted her and didn’t fill out form because Bev told them not to until they came to a decision on everything, then the only fair thing is to dismiss those charges. I don’t think Bev or the DA’s office will dismiss them even no matter what the jurors say. Now, it would be grounds for judicial and prosecutorial misconduct.

The issue for me is, while lally can say all he wants that the defense knew mistrial was kn the table when they asked for that one instruction (i forget the name), the nudge absolutely should *still* have given the defense a chance to say "hey, we would like to poll the jury" or even put on the record that they hadnt seen the last note in advance like they had the others. Had she given them a chance to say something before coming in and being like, nope we done, THEN any issues would be on the defense and moot. But she didnt and that to me is the main problem.

In i feel no sympathy for those people. Abusing their kids and treating them like things emotionally and physically violating them and you expect me to believe that those two men deserve to spend the rest of their lives behind bars?? I’m sorry but no. Believe the victims until proven otherwise and they have proven over time with countless witnesses and proof that the abuse happened, people knew about it and didn’t believe them, they tried leaving and it didn’t work. Of course I can’t speak for them but that is my understanding of their actions so I do think it’s more helpful to try to stay objective than to let yourself be affected by how a crime scene looks to you. Besides, I guarantee if you had hundreds of hours of footage of every time their father raped those kids and abused them over the years in all of the ways he did, you might not be so horrified about the damage the bullets made to their bodies. Therefore, it is unjustified to let yourself be affected by the gruesome look of the bodies because you can see them but not by the gruesome look of the rapes because you cannot see them. Bottom line is, it is emotionally biased to let yourself be affected by the image of one crime you can see just because you can’t view the crime that you cannot.

If any one individual that has been incarcerated has new evidence that may mitigate that individual’s sentence then they can get an attorney and appeal to the court for a new trial. That has always been an option for anyone convicted of a crime. The Mendez brothers case is only high lighted because its a high profile case. I don’t know how this case would signal release for anyone else. The legal option for requesting a new trial for any individual has always been there. What can the prosecutorial office be thinking, slapping the faces of all Massachusetts jurors by saying it doesn't matter what decisions the jury came to about any of the counts in the Karen Read case, they're just going to try all the counts again no matter what? Do prosecutors really want all jurors in MA to feel like the DA & everyone arguing for the state have no respect whatsoever for jurors' time & opinions? Don't prosecutors worry that that will make them unable to effectively present any cases in MA, since no jurors in the state will have any reason to trust them? I DON'T GET IT.
Future discussion in the DA's office: Yeah, we can't convict even mass murderers any more, because juries now know we don't care about them. But hey, at least we were able to retry Karen Read on all three counts! Proving that the DA's office will always do whatever the hell it wants is WAY more important than saving lives & administering justice by convicting murderers! Right? Right?

There is currently a 24/7 live reality show called Fish Tank Live. The contestants are unaware that there are cameras surrounding the house. They believe that they are only being filmed when the “cameraman” is around. What potential legal issues could the producers run into? There have been times where contestants are changing clothes or are in vulnerable situations, and they are unaware that they are being filmed. It seems like this should be illegal even if they signed off on being filmed in a contract. I’d love to know your take on this situation.

I remember the Menedez case in the day, what I remember is they did it due to being spoiled and greedy. However, been watching the latest on them due to the media and digging deeper into their story from start to today. I think they deserve a retrial. Obviously, they deserved a prison sentence but not life without patrol.
The Diddy case is getting way out of control and the victims should be protected and media coverage should be shut down to protect all involved.

I have no doubt at all in my mind that the father was an abuser, if you do, you are incredibly naive. I don't find it especially odd that family then and even now call them "the boys". So a rural parish in Louisiana understood CSA when LA County didn’t? Sure.
