      THANK YOU and your wife Laura Elisabeth Wright for your blessing on the Occasion, a great one, a Platinum Jubilee. God bless you both, and hope you enjoy watching all the celebrations and thanksgivings, family get togethers both Royal and with your own family, friends and neighbours from Cecilia Elizabeth Kay maiden name Anderson, born on wedding day of Princess Elizabeth to Phillip Mountbatten on 20 November 1947! 2 days before the feast of St Cecilia!
      It was my Great Aunt Mildred, very religious,Royalist, who suggested these Christian names, my mother woman of firm Christian faith, in fact very like Her Majesty, was pleased to agree... my father too.
      With very best wishes to you both🌟

    It's such an awesome and amazing sight to see a mounted band. The skill of riders playing music in the band as well as riding is so special. All of this pagentry is such a fitting tribute to Our Glorious and Gracious Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. I will store these experiences in my DNA!!!!

      Thank you for your acknowledgement. I am endeavouring to convey the enormous atmosphere and feeling of Pride that this event, in particular, is conveying to the World. We need this connectedness now, more than ever. The Platinum Jubilee Celebrations speaks to our Hearts and our humanity. Thank You.

      We in Britain still remember and honour the great sacrifice of the Newfoundland Regiment at Beaumont Hamel on the 1st of July 1916. I've been to the spot and seen the Caribou memorial.

    Love the Shire horses leading the parade. No mean feat to be able to ride and play an instrument. Notice so many people are holding phones up to record the passing by yet are missing out on the actual action!

      What a shame that our streets are now so unsafe that crowds are penned back and armed police protect the ceremonies from those who share our islands but not our traditions. "Activists", terrorists, self publicists and their entitled and intolerant ilk increasingly determine how we live our public lives. How have we come to this?

    Britain has done this over the centuries with all Monarchs. It’s traditional. But a new adventure for a new generation. A sense of history for the elders. Even naysayers will see history, no matter what they say. We do need magic and pageant Ty sometimes. For me is a real life fairy tale feel, I know very well reality! But still like that feeling

    You sound as if you are from the USA, but I may be wrong…..
    Your little flag on your comment looked Confederate, which I’d go along with, and from a 1970s viewpoint. I had a dear girlfriend in Tennessee back in the 1970s, and rather loved that flag, along with her….
    Times Change, and I married an English girl…..

      Loving the Confederate Flag?!!!! SMH

    • @nicholasgerrish6022
      @nicholasgerrish6022 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@melissa-dm5uw Yes…..
      One doesn’t have to agree with the modern sentiments surrounding the “Southern Cross” Flag. I like the design, especially, and it reminds me of a very pleasant sojourn with a very pleasant girl. It was back in the 1970s, and I embraced her and the flag.
      I wouldn’t fly it now, of course, but we live in different times, and the girl is dead……

    • @nicholasgerrish6022
      @nicholasgerrish6022 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@melissa-dm5uw This seems strange to me….
      The original comment from me, didn’t relate to the video of the Household Cavalry. It appeared written by me, but I wouldn’t have written it the way it was in the comment. The words, “ your little flag on your comment looked Confederate” seems peculiar…
      How would a flag on a comment look, since a comment isn’t visual.
      The comment sounded as if it had been precised.
      Anyway, my comment about the Confederate flag wasn’t meant to upset, but was in the context of a love affair I had as a young man.

    It seems like madness to try and play an instrument while riding a horse. Why? How do you get on the horse with your instrument? How do you control the horse with no hands?
    I feel that the music is rather simple because players can't control their diaphragms when the horse is moving unpredictably underneath them. Any other musician comments?
