Thank you so much for your wonderful explanation, you explained it so well, without all the ramblings. I picked it up so easy and my blanket is looking so good. Forever in your debt. Many thankyou's Cheers Kathy from Australia xx
@@yesterdayschild2 Yep me too.... I stupidly added it to a project as I watched. Paused and finished it over a few days to come back and not know how to cast off!
You stated you used a size nine double point, was that larger that the needed to knit your vest? I wasn't to do this to a toddler sweater made with knit picks swish yarn.
This is awesome! I’m doing the Sophie scarf half silk yarn and half mohair. But I want to add the icord edge to the mohair side with the silk yarn. Hope it looks good.
I would love to see how you join the end with the start of the i-cord edge.
You explained it so beautifully, thank you!! Happy knitting everyone :)
Thank you! 😊

She explains how to join the icord in this video: th-cam.com/video/QhVDWJx4_Gw/w-d-xo.html
I always do a little provisional cast on for my icord in the round or like this so I can just Kitchener stitch them together at the end :)
My first BSJ thanks you!
So glad I happened across this! Just what I needed. Thanks for the great explanation!
Hi, you've made my day. Thank you. Greetings from São Paulo Brazil.

Simply brilliant. Thanks for this technique.
You're very welcome!
Great video! How do you bind off once you get all the way around?
Yes, I'd also like to see how the edge is finished.

Wonderful tutorial. Very clear instructions and great view on the video. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!

I loved the video. I may experiment with using this to finish cardigan edges. Thank you.
That will be so nice.
Tried this I cord edging. Amazing. Easy and looks great. Thank you!
Thank you so much. Glad you are giving it a try.
Thank for a calm detailed tutorial.
Thank you for the tutorial. When you make it around to the start how do you join to the beginning of your i-cord?
I usually bind off and then use a tapestry needle to seam the ends together.
Excellent tutorial. Only thing, How do you bind off?
Absolutely wonderful tutorial ❤ 😀
Great lesson! Great teacher! Thank you!
So glad you liked it!
Very nice new tutorial thanks for sharing it🙏🏻
1000 grazie as the say here in Italy... The best I have yet to see plus no one works from the back side which I find much much finer.
So glad you liked it!
Thanks for sharing this technique.... The Best for Me... ♥
Glad you like it!
very nice. easily understandable
Should you use the same size needle that you used for the initial project or does it really matter? Very informative tutorial! Thanks
I typically use the same size as the project or one size up depending on how tight my tension is getting.
This is awesome! I’m doing the Sophie scarf half silk yarn and half mohair. But I want to add the icord edge to the mohair side with the silk yarn. Hope it looks good.
Great tutorial. Love the i cord edging.
I love this video. Very helpful, BUT how do I make the stitches consistent?
Looks great but how do we finish it??? Cast off?
Nice video 👌 what are your dp needles?
Thank you so much for this tutorial! 😍
The edges of my muffler are curling. Will I cord edge help?
How do you end it.
Brilliant just what I need. Can I ask what stitch you used on your piece. Looks like a version of moss stitch? Bx
Great tutorial .what if I need a thicker I-cord edge because my yarn is really thin 5 stitches is what I need how to I go about it? Thanks so much
Glad you liked it. To make it thicker you'll just add more cast on stitches to start.
Lovethis! Why didn’t you start at the bottom, where the ribbing is?
I was wondering the same, though, the total explanation of the tutorial is very clear, so, it does not change the I -cord in anyways . Good luck ! :)
That is so nice and easy thankyou xo
Thank you so much
Can you use this to add two knitted blocks together (back to back) for a knitted throw-pillow case?
I think that will work. Let me know if you try it!
Hi, excellent tutorial. I have a question, how do I chose the number of needle? Thank you for video ❤️🌹❤️.
Thank you so much. I usually use the same size needle as the original project or a size larger so I don't get too tight of a tension.
@@MeghanMakesDo Thank you very much.
Awesome, thank you!
Great! Do you think its too thick for a lightweight shawl? Its a simple garter stitch V-shape and the edges are kinda ugly. Thank you!
wondering how to finish up the last 3 stitches.
Great tutorial Meghan! How would you work 6 or 8 I-cord? I would like to do that for a cardigan I am knitting. Thanks very much:)
To do a 6 or 8 I-cord you'll just need to cast on a few more stitches before you start. Hope that helps!
Hi, can you do this on cuffs on a knitted cardigan for fraying cuffs edge?
Absolutely!
How do you cast off and join the edging?
Great video: thank you!!🙌🏼
Awesome. TFS.
Nice
Is it recommended to do Icord in needle size larger than project?
I usually do it in the same size as the project or a needle larger.
Is this a 3stitch i-cord or a 4stitch I-cord? Tia
How to finish/bind off ?
I cord edges 0n jacket.
Great video! How do you bind off once you make it all the way around?
Awesome, thank you!
You're welcome!
