We live in a golden age. And this monstrosity will be the poster boy for "back in the day we made real cars with V8s and 800hp". Future teenagers will lust after these. Nice to see you’re changing up your reviews now and then. Always very informative and relaxing to watch. I’d like to hear how the car sounds a bit more - from engine and acceleration sounds to simple door closure and directional sounds. I think it would add a nice auditory touch of information to get an even better feeling for the various vehicles you review. Keep up the great work!

I have a 2019 Hellcat Widebody(non Redeye) being built right now. My 2015 Hellcat (#433 of the model year) has been a treat, and I will be keeping it. But I must admit that I LOVE that Dodge threw 305s on all corners to tighten the handling of this beast!

I have 2019 Redeye WB Octane Red. I did the the same, by trading in. My 2016 PCP Hellcat for the 2019.
Put the Hellcats on a diet, give them a proper AWD system, then they could destroy almost all of the 200+ grand sports cars.

Actually I put the widest tire I could fit on both of my supersnakes and my gt500 and what a difference it made it still spins a little but a huge improvement and I couldn't imagine slicks on 900hp plus.I wouldn't doubt it pulling the tires off the ground like the Demon does either way the Shelby supersnakes and my gt500 are crazy fast
Destroyer Grey looks really good with the Redeye for sure. Will be interesting what Ford and its forthcoming Shelby GT 500 renders. HP-wise I've read around 750. Price will probably be sub $80K? Time will tell it always does but for now kudos to Dodge. This car you've reviewed is in a league all by itself. Good, inclusive review.

Man I am close to getting a job, I can’t afford this but want a scat pack widebody manual, sadly can’t get the shaker hood with widebody. And I’ll put some good work into it but man a challenger is what I want I’m 19 hopefully by 23,24,or 25
From what I have read on the Dodge site, if you add the wide body to the Scat Pack, that includes the adjustable suspension. The Widebody Scat Pack will be my next car because I am more interested in road course and canyon runs than drag racing. From what I have read and watched in videos, the widebody Scat Pack is faster on a road course than the Hellcat and gets better MPG. I might change my mind later. The Red Eye is amazing. I laugh when people call it a boat...especially europeans as this was designed when Benz owned chrysler. I think ALL C-E class 5l+ cars are over 4,000lbs. So are BMW M5s, Audi A6's. When comparing it to a new camaro or mustang...you have to consider this is ALOT big...even a V6 Nissan GTR with NO real back seat weighs 3,900lbs.
I do hope they change the chassis to the AFLA Romeo GUILIA chassis...then it would lose about 500+lbs. and Dodge could make a T/A, AAR Cuda track model.

Toss up question. Which is the better buy? Hellcat Widebody (717hp) or Hellcat RedEye narrow body?
Widebody...a narrow body Hellcat with 275s has trouble putting it's 650 pounds of torque down, now imagine 57 more lb-ft on the same "skinny" rubber.
Will Dodge release a "race ECU " FOR the red-eye? Dodge has in the past offered race ECUs for other models and a 100+ octane stage 1 ECU upgrade would sell like crazy and help push sale's upgrades to Red-eye over a standard Hellcat. I would be swayed by a factory race ECU in a more expensive model while shopping for a specific car.
The lowly Dodge Neon SRT-4 had stg1, stg2, and stg3 race ECUs you could purchase at dealer parts counter. Make the Hellcats and especially the Red-eye have at least a stg1 race ECU available to buy. Simple plug and plug.
I test drove one. Had no clue they were that big from the inside.
So what are the 797 reasons to buy one🧐

The 392 naturally aspirated SRT is a dead model for 2019 because it always had a VERY low take rate and order rate compared to the 6.4L non-SRT Scat Pack and T/A 392. The only SRT models for 2019 are the Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye. But...you can order the 392 R/T Scat Pack with the widebody package for '19, and that $6k package gives you almost all the goodies of the old SRT 392, including adaptive suspension, and the old Hellcat hood...to me, that's the sweet spot near the top of the Challenger food chain, 485 HP, 475 TQ, 315 width rubber, and a ~$50k MSRP to start, and can still be had with a stick.
Also, don't expect to find a Hellcat Redeye Widebody for MSRP anytime soon, dealer markups will make sure that doesn't happen.

Yes the SRT392 was discontinued for 2019, but you now can get all of the SRT392 options on the 392ScatPack except for the Laguna Leather.
I'm in sales at an FCA dealership in Florida. All the dealers (including mine) in this region will be marking up 2019 WB/Narrow Redeyes, WB Hellcats, and expect 1320 Challengers to get a markup too. Best way to avoid or minimize those markups is to order one, because units ordered for dealership stock WILL be marked up as long as the market can bear it.

The 19 challenger scatpacks come with the hellcat hood as standard. And you can get an aftermarket closed cai with an upgraded 87mm throttle body replacement to allow more air in.

Has anyone ever provide a full video review of the functionalities. For example, audio, navigation, engine, steering (driving in straight-line), body inspection, memory settings, wipers, and etc. I have completed some research, and I have never seen so many SRT for resale (Whether JEEP or Dodge). I did made some phone calls to sellers, and did get some feedbacks regarding functionality issues. Let me know what you think. From what I understand, these are all BAILOUT vehicles. Safety is a concern.
What does bailout vehicle mean?
An advertisement in behalf of the manufacturer where the vehicle is overpriced yet cannot sustain everyday performance and functionalities. No offense to you; however, these vehicle break-down and the manufacturer is bullying the customers. Conduct a true everyday review. Some customers rarely drives these vehicle until they become comfortable not knowing the underlying mechanical issues. We have been conducting random testing and found multiple failures: Engine, Transmission, steering, Navigation, and etc. Do a review that show functionalities. Is like saying the customer wants to listen to the engine instead of music. The customer is only going to drive up the block, so there is no need to use the navigation. Continue down this avenue, and you will find exactly what we have discovered. BAILOUT means recovering at the expense of the customer by selling an eye catching vehicle that is defective. When you have a defective engine that the dealership and manufacture is unwilling to fix by stating there is nothing wrong; you will change your view when the engine fail and almost ran over a pedestrian because there are difficulties stopping these vehicles with the lost of power when engine shuts down..

The Redeye is truly going to shine once gear heads mod the hell out of it and push it to its limits. Until then, I have to agree that for me it would not be worth extra expense over my Hellcat. I already can’t use the power I have, let along having another 90 HP.

Demons are limited and same as the Grand National so this is similar performance if you are gonna drive it

Yes the demon is stiffer but doesn't handle as well. It's made to launch.

I Agree but the Demon has a harsh ride. I'm bidding on a hellcat redeye. I own a scat pack shaker. My dealer let me test a demon. The dampening is way harder but it uses a butter soft sway bar. That setup makes no sense to me but I'm not a Dodge Engineer.
So basically it's the same shit. The scat packs definitely more stiff and tighter than the SRT for whatever reason.....
SRT 392 and Hellcat/Hellcat Redeye all get 3-mode adaptive damping, the Scats had fixed dampers.
I'm going to be buying a new Hellcat wide-body soon..but now reading and seeing this new RedEye is make me change my mind.. 797hp sounds great to me. First let's see what the price difference is.
