No the reason was because every 32 beats he went and entirely switched up the song. If he maintained any flow throughout the song, the production could've gone faster, and it would've sounded better

I think what he meant at the beginning is that C is the root note of the melody which means it can be played all the way through. G can played all the way through because it is like the harmony to C which makes the C sound full.
