    I switched my Bobby xd design for this sling, and it's been amazing! It's perfect size for my edc commute. I use the security latch from smaller pocket with a retractable key leash, and the interior of water bottle pocket with a travel size hygiene kit (it's waterproof from the inside of the sling). Among other things, I carry a 10" tablet, kindle (on tech compartment there's a perfect size pocket for it), power bank, charger, wallet, sunglasses inside with box, and still there's room for light jacket, extra shirt, a book... really feels like 10L. I don't carry a water bottle ( only 25 min to work).Just to resume, I can fit more here than in Bobby xd. I also bought to edc on future trips with my wife.

    I got this 6l sling after watching your reviews and love it! Just received the new bigger 10l sling thinking it would be the same just bigger but to my shock they removed the entire middle compartment (merged the two into one) 😱 the main images on their website show it present but I didn’t notice the other images suddenly it’s gone…such a shame cause would’ve been perfect otherwise.
    Thanks for continuing to provide us with top quality reviews I never look at bags the same now 😂

    • @JudgeBen
      @JudgeBen 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had the EXACT same thought! I even emailed Nomatic to ask when the 10L will be available again. (May '22). But after seeing that the 10L only has one "main" compartment, and not the two mains that the 6L has, I'm torn. In the meantime I am loving the 6L, even if I can't carry my 12.9 tablet.
      WHY would they remove the organization of a whole other "tech" compartment? There are so many good reasons to keep two large compartments, ESPECIALLY in the LARGER version of the sling!!!

    I know this video is 2 years old, but update on the zippers. That hard wire zipper frayed for me and those wires are sharp! I cut my thumb on it. A way I had to deal with it is using black electric tape to seal back up but its not as clean looking anymore. Otherwise, function and style is still solid.

    Thank you for your honest review. This Sling got really fantastic design which satisfies all my needs like the optional belt, the size for holding an iPad Pro, lockable zippers, comfortable belt, organized compartments, reflective bar etc.. However, for that price tag, it got to improve the craftsmanship and the materials. I would put this Sling into my wish list and keep an eye on it. BTW, I miss the sceneries where are the districts I always stalking around. God Bless HK!

      Update: I did eventually buy this 6L sling and I do like it! I believe the one that you got for review was indeed an early production model because the one I received has no issues with the reflective bands looking poorly applied. For the area where that piece of fabric that is folded over and "jabs" you in the chest area I folded the extra flap and sewed it by hand so it now lays flat and it is now more comfortable when carrying heavy loads. Yeah, it shouldn't have passed the final builds before production but I really am impressed with the quality of the sling and how it feels.
      Not sure if you mentioned it in your review but the two grab handles are so nice and the main strap is so plush and dense that it is a joy to use. For my first daily carry I was able to put: an iPad Pro 11", Nintendo Switch OLED inside a slim semi-hard case, pack of sanitizing wipes, mini first aid kit, various short cables for charging, a headlamp, pen and permanent marker, Amazon Kindle Paperwhite (fits perfectly inside one of the sleeves in the back compartment) and for the small outer zip compartment: Anker Power Core Slim 10K power bank and a Powertac E9R-G4 tactical flashlight. It all fits well with some packing management and it is a bit weighty but overall that's a lot for a 6 liter case. I didn't test out the water bottle holder but it's a nice option to have. I currently use the Nomatic Travel Pack for work and needed something for everyday carry and not so large as a backpack and this sling is super cool looking (IMO) and is functional with minor drawbacks like the flap that shouldn't poke into your chest and non-YKK zippers but those are minor. I'm loving it so far.

    I need a new bag as I will be serving an LDS mission in May and I was wondering if this would fit a 40oz hydroflask in the main compartment (I know it probably won't fit in the outside water bottle holder)? I drink a lot of water and that's the only size water bottle I've found that can last me the whole day so if it doesn't fit, that's a deal breaker for me. The bottle itself is 12 inches tall. I know, man. But since the zippers open sideways, it's better to have instant access to the inside than a water bottle. Since I don't carry one, I don't mind.

      @@brenocarvalho4673 right...that’s why i’m not a fan of the whole configuration. Looks kinda cool but not for me. Actually these days i’m not wearing any backpacks...I find big messengers more ergonomic for my type of carry (probably not as good for my body though)

    I love the design, but based on the review this seems like a bag where you pay for the design, not materials. Oh, and that sloppy stitching really does ruin the flush look of the bag... most egregious oversight for that price.

    Nomatic bags are seriously overpriced for what you get. There are bags that cost less and give you way better space and features. People are simply overpaying because of the name on a bag.

      They are a very respected brand and have an aesthetic/features that people are willing to pay for. But having said that - I agree, overpriced.
