    Hello!
Predictably, I am utterly delighted by your creation. This is so much more interesting than simply buying a C44 kit, and I am most impressed by the outcome. Your stabilising brace for tge rear axle was an inspired move; I'm glad that it worked so well.
If we had a once-a-month golden "thumbs up" for extra-specially excellent videos, I'd give it to this!

Thanks Del, glad you like it! Of course it's fun when you can assemble something good from a pile of parts!😊😊

@@Georgieframe How did you extend the wheelbase?
By how much? Did you use generic Amazon propshafts?

@@Del350K4 The wheelbase is extended from 193 to 227 millimeters (approximately). I did it very simply, moved the suspension brackets as far forward and back as possible on the frame and drilled new holes. I use plastic drive shafts, extended using super glue, epoxy and shrink tubing. They still last, because it's a 180 motor. I may have to switch to metal eventually...

@@Georgieframe Ah! As you saw, I recently had to join two propshaft halves. My plastic half had ribbing running both along and around it. I didn't want to glue my "bridging sleeve' to just the edges of the ribs so I labouriously flooded each void with epoxy, let it harden, turned the shaft, flooded the next, etc. I also remember making use of superglue and baking powder (sodium bicarbonate) on that propshaft, too.

      Oh, no! This is terrible!
I should've stocked up while I had the chance. They are not good truck's as supplied but they're the cheapest way to build s leaf-sprung big truck in 1:12 scale. My channel can't afford all those exquisitely made, very expensive ones from King Kong RC etc.

I'm back again! This vídeo troubles me. It makes me feel -quite strongly - that a WPL C 34, two MN Toyotas and a Team Associated, aren't enough. I envy you this truck, and keep daydreaming about building a leaf-sprung Toyota (as mine all have coils) on a WL Toys 124301 chassis.

    • @Georgieframe
      @Georgieframe  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

Sounds like an excellent idea! Are you going to use the chassis from your latest bodybuilding video or do you have one more 124301? Guess a WPL C34 cab will fit very good on that 1:12 scale chassis. However you do it, I'm sure the results will be very impressive! 👍👍😊😊

@@Georgieframe I absolutely hate robbing parts from one build to do another.
In fact, if I habitually watch a channel and realise that this is standard practice, I stop watching.
I think "Hang on, I spent hours watching you build that - and now you're just going to kill it to build something else?"
So I shall have to procure:
1 x MN Models Toyota body (which I'd turn into a cab, as you did) or C44 cab.
      1 x 124301
      1 x Flysky 2/3 ch radio
      1 x steering servo
      1x ESC
1 x set of wheels and tyres.
      I think that's it.
Of course, for that money I could buy a C44KM, but that would be too sensible a decision.
Or I could put it on the new leaf-sprung MN Toyota LC70 chassis, but they don't have that "proper lorry" presence that you get with the WL Toys.

@@Del350K4 A very good plan and, as I wrote before, I'm sure the result will be excellent. The WLT 124301 looks like a very interesting base for a conversion, but where do you buy one? I've searched the internet but it seems to be either sold out or available in australian or US webstores which is a little too far away. 🤔🤔
