Hello my name is Wymann Simpson. This is my mother singing "Order My Steps" at my little brother's Funeral. I know it seems like I was zoned out the whole time. But truthfully it was because I was. At around 3:24 I was in amazement to see so many people. The whole church was packed wall to wall. My little brother touched so many people and I never knew until that day.
After the passing of Chavonne L. Young's son Landon J. Maltbia-Young he made a few final request in a letter he left her before his departure from this world to his new home. He asked his mother to sing one of his favorite songs that all of her sons like to hear her sing on Sunday, "Order My Steps". Be mindful that she has the strength of an Angel. I say this because in this video Landon J. Maltbia-Young is laying right in front of her as she sang her final song to him during his funeral. Please pass this along.

Carol Strange, I do not know how it feel to loose a child....but I do know what it feels like to bury a Mother...and God is good...He knows and understands our pain and grief.....all we have to do is lean on him...Everyday will be different, along with emotions as we grief....But I do know that we ALL have a "But God" story! And also, I wander if we are related, because my maiden name is Strange which is very distinctive in certain areas.....Be Blessed ....

Chavonne Lloyd the 1st time I saw this I didn't have the strength to watch,and could only listen. My youngest died the summer. Unbelievable the thought u could sing. Beautiful.thank you for sharing. God continue his grace to us.& all us mother that have to live after our hearts souls have rip out&shredded. Only God,can fit the pieces together

I lost my beautiful 26 yo daughter Nicole 10 years ago this month. Her baby was only 2. He is now 12 and knows all about his mom and how much she loved him and fought to bring him into this world. When Nicole left part of me went with her. We will meet again. Next time will be even better.

Me that talent so I could spread his holy words to others I am sure. You have a beautiful voice, take care of it . Drinking liquor, smoking
and a lot of unnecessary screaming will damage your vocals cords ,I lost my voice due to smoking and screaming at my unruly emotional disturb Students occasionally . It worked for them, they behave and completed their class work but , not for me. Eventually it caught up with me, loss my sing voice. Develop nodules on my throat. So sorry you lost your Son and he is resting in peace, God got him ,

I loss my son in 2017 to a tragic tractor trailer accident, and today July 24th is his birthday. Listening to this beautiful, strong and very talented Mother, fulfill her son's request and sing this song, gave me strength. I cried when I was listening, but I heard her , I heard her.

Mother song to know that her son is FREE while his Soul is resting. It's just a blessing. Hallelujah he is free. I couldn't sing at my mother's funeral in 1986. She passed the day after Xmas. December 26 1986. Afterwards, I became ill.

You are so right. When my son was murdered, God showed me who was praying for me at the funeral. Packed church, about 5 praying. BUT they were righteous so those prayers got me through that very very very deep and painful experience. Pray for those who need you.

My mother lost her mother in 1989 lost her first child my big sister to metastatic breast cancer at 46...the look on my mother’s face hurt me to the core so did my sisters passing she fought a good fight stayed in remission 4 yrs went to heart doctor suggested she see her oncologist gave her pet scan it had metastasized over 90% of her body my mother was heart broken 2010 lost my brother to violence he was killed in the line of duty last call Officer Brown #226 she told me babygirl I asked the Lord if Audrey going soon because I cannot bury another child she said he come to her showed Audrey taught school 27 yrs. had metastatic breast cancer only tears she fought so hard mom passed in 2012 Audrey passed 2013 buried her a week before Thanksgiving gosh I miss these two but the condition they were in that would be selfish of me. That’s why I like the song by Inez Andrew”I’m glad man didn’t create me, cause I’m sure he would forsake me”

My sister at 18 due to cancer, my lil baby brother was hit by a car at 3 then in 2014 my only brother I had left was shot down by his own friends.. my mother strength gives me strength as she herself is totally disabled.. her mind is perfect but her body the flesh is weak... my prayers my love my heart my strength is with you ma'am.. as GOD'S People we must stand strong. To say the past few years have been the worst of my 63 is an understatement. I’ve thought of giving up daily. I don’t know when I lost faith but thank God was still close enough to Him to know that’s what was wrong and that I needed (need) revival. Your voice in that hymn in that circumstance has been my first revival and I thank you for it. Please pray with me that God will Order My Steps, and don’t ever forget that you have a sister in North Carolina who loves you and your walking testimony oh so much. ♥️

My GOD my GOD. I started crying as soon as this mother started singing. I loss my mother (May 8th, 2018) & sister (December 15, 2018) within 7 months of each other. I buried my mother the day BEFORE Mother's Day & my sister 3 days BEFORE Christmas. GOD gave me the STRENGTH to speak @ BOTH of there funerals. BLESS you Mrs. Chavonne.
