The methods used in CE speedruns are just like "rituals" rather than "tactics". You precisely perform some seemingly weird steps as taught by the "speedrun elders" and will be possible to summon the goddess of speedrun to bring you success. Not exactly knowing how, but they just work.
More like Sloth and Cambid. Garish might have been great once, but now he’s old news, constantly complaining and blaming everything except himself. To make matters worse, he's incredibly toxic toward his viewers. I honestly don’t understand why anyone still watches him. He comes across as overly annoying, like a kid stuck in the middle of puberty.
@grogged9822 first teleport is Reveal Skip Skip Skip since we are skipping Reveal Skip Skip which skips Reveal Skip. CE trick naming conventions moment. Second when is just Camo Jumo Skip.
@HalloBruce It's possible. The main two problems with FSS is the nade jump we do at the start shifting the angle randomly since it's a frag and that we are bouncing every tick to the 0.001 position so even when looking at the right spot it still has a chance to fail. Burnt will probably cook something up tho
Why is the zoomed sensitivity involved when you are not zoomed or were those prior single zooms enough? So the game allows this 1.95433666 entry to have an effect, yet demands tenth decimal place precision rounding?
The game is WEIRD. Zooming in and doing a 1 pixel shift to the left or right will change your look angle differently depending on your current zoom sens. MCC makes it look like the number gets rounded, but it does hold the full value that you type in.
I straight up am having a hard time knowing what is going on to cause the game to act like this. I’ve been watching halo CE speed-running for like 5 years. I haven’t seen aim setting adjustments ever cause halo to act like this? Is this the first of many? Or a one off?
@eureeka8781 All teleports in the game are affected by our sensitivity. We have to play on 2.1, 3.1, or 5 sens in order for Maw teleport to work. With 6.8 sens we would need to do 3 right 360 degree turns for Maw teleport to put us in the right spot. These teleports on 343 are just so precise we need these exact sensitivities down to the change in zoom sens.
@PinkSpaceDinosaur First teleport has 4 subpixels that work and the 2nd has one. So extremely precise. 6.8 sensitivity is required. And you have to avoid any lookangle drift.
@acidicspecter A lot of chance for the look angle to gry drifted doing that. Will probably start doing it in ILs going forward tho. Just wanted to get a time with the new tricks before throwing myself to more rng

Exciting to see new stuff get found that saves so much time. Congrats on the new WR Sloth!
I've always said you are the GOAT man. This just proves it
Crazy to see just how good the Halo speedrunners got, people are slowly inching towards the sub 1 hour mark.
Genuinely what the actual

I am shocked. Almost too shocked for words.
that skip is insane. how do people even figure this out?
